I,ve got the 2019 version of this bike reviewed here. Firstly those two blokes are above average height 6ft2 for the son I think the dad is 6ft3,anyway, I,m a much more average 5ft9. And this bike is spot on for me. This bike is now 18mnths old, with 3000mls on it. The first 700mls were frustrating, what with the engine needing to be run in. Since then, we'll its grunty thrash able and holds the road brilliantly. Although when these pirelli phantoms wear out, I,ll get Avon or Bridgestone tyres, because the phantoms feel iffy in the wet. And I live in England. Its attractive and well made. I,m 57 I,ve had lots of bikes, but will keep this one🙂ride safe.
@@rbattson7171 Thank you for the reply! I actually bought a 2020 ST just two days ago--absolutely LOVE it! I'm going through the break in period now. @@jimsaddler942 So I'm not sure if this will apply to you but the earlier FI 900's ran lean from the factory and a ecu tune makes a huge difference in performance and overall feel of the engine. My 2010 bonneville FI felt exactly the same in lower rpms as you're describing and just didn't feel right especially for a 900cc but getting an exhaust and a proper tune made it run much smoother and faster. I'd highly suggest to at least getting a tune, it makes a substantial difference. I have just purchased this bike, and I am so eager to ride! I haven't had a bike since I sold my Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic back in 2016 when I was unemployed, and I've been patient, waiting for the time and finances to be right again for a bike that's more my style and taste. I can't wait for it to be delivered next week! Loved your review - thank you.
Woohoo! A bike suitable for smaller people. I’m a 5’3’’ female with small hands and was so excited when I discovered that I can pull the clutch in and reach the indicators at the same time! Never been able to do that before! Great review. Thank you 😊
I'm 6' 200lbs, I tried out a Triumph Street Twin and found that scooped out seat quite uncomfortable and cramped. Then I tried the T100 and that seat and foot peg position was much better for my size. Needless to say, I took the T100 home and never looked back. It's been a great bike. I did a quick review on it a while back if anyone's interested. You have a great channel with interesting reviews, keep it up.
I'm still waiting for my full licence exam next year and I'm fairly short about 5'7 5'8". I think the Street Twin is the best for me. I love how it looks and feels.
Hi ! I have a T120 2019 Bonneville Triumph. Have heard about the gearbox issues. But for me I haven’t heard anyone personally. 2019 above l believe are no issues. I am 5’9” and yes the height and seating position is ideal for me. Changed trees to Metzeler Premium road tec01. Difference is night and day And adjusted foot brake up slightly. I have one... And the best in the segment. Greater part is the firing from the silencer which makes me superior on the road. Perfectly explained... Cheers.
This review was really useful especially as I’m 6’1 & your size & 74 years old. Being cramped up is no fun after riding for several hours. I ride Harleys but want something lighter than my Dyna Fatbob at 306kg!
That's a nice bike! I've got the 2011 SE, essentially the same and love it. I upgraded rear shocks and front springs with Tec part progressives and have a new bike. I like the channel!
I got my 2017 model street twin fall 2016 .. it is such a great bike .. got the model 20 seat on it because triumph did a needed "firming up" to make it more comfortable for longer rides .. cool thing about these twins is that parts seems to simply just fit .. going to get the 21 side panels for my twin now :)
Honestly, I sat on a Street Twin today, and fell in love with it. I'm 6'2 w/ a 32" inseam. Felt comfy for the legs, riding position felt nice. Definitely one of the FEW bikes I've sat on that I enjoyed. Edit: The Street Twin, Speed Twin, and Scrambler were all great for me!
@Chuck Gladfelter same. Sports feel too cramped, large cruisers are over my budget, but the ST was a solid find for me. Nice kind of upright but not cruiser feel, even the scrambler models would be ideal. Great fits 🤙🏻
I have a 32.5" inseam. However, I am only 5'9. All legs, I know! My problem is the reach to the handlebars with most bikes. But I understand bikes are designed for the body type matching the majority of the target market, so not complaining.
Subscribed ! I like the content in your reviews, and the way you demonstrate each topic , and include the specific details as well as exhaust sounds going through the gears and downshifting etc.. I have a Gold Line edition reserved, waiting for delivery in June . I’m stoked , as a novice rider I think I made the right choice . I’m 5’9” with a 31” inseam , this bike is ideal for me . Although even at my height , the first thing I will do is change the seat for the straight bench type , adding another inch and a half of height and a much more desired classic look to the bike . Cheers 🍻 I look forward to seeing more of your awesome videos.
Thinking about this bike as something to enjoy relearning on. 61, havent been on a bike in almost 40 yyears.thanks for the informative vid, much respect from Texas. Subbed!
As a veritable giant of 5' 8", l once slung a leg over a mate's R1200GS and tried to get it off the side stand. And then tried again, and again. Then gave up and went back to my FJ1200. There's a bike for almost everyone but I'd feel better on something more like the Street Twin. I've seen riders of my height on tall bikes so maybe it's a combination of what you want and what you feel comfortable with.
Well shot video. Good audio. What more can we ask for. I like the fact that you show the profile while you’re sitting on the bike and tell us how tall you are. I went to a local BMW dealer and sat on an R 1200 R and couldn’t believe how small the bike was compared to the videos that I was watching.
Best review on the street twin. I always come across comments saying that it's better to buy the z900rs. But take a closer look, it's two different kind of bikes. Need to ride both for final verdict 👍
I had one of the first models and loved it. It did run out of puff fairly soon, but the grunt was brilliant. Looking back I feel it was a little low for me - I’m about 5’ 11. The Speed Twin was a much better (sportier) position for me. Great video, well done guys.
I thought you looked like a tall man. I am 6 foot 2 (no idea if this is how you correctly spell it), but thanks for mentioning that you are 6 foot 3 and talking about the seating position as I was slightly worried about this. I think this bike has replaced the Thruxton as my new dream bike. Love Triumph and greetings to England from Germany. You have a new subscriber!
I (the Ol’ Man) didn’t have any issues with the feet levers and I’m size 12, although Darcy did. I think at 6ft you’d be fine. It’s not a big bike, but what is! Pretty much every bike is made for the average height person of 5’10”. If you can get to sit on one you’ll know for sure.
I have a street twin and I am barely 5'4" and the bike fits me perfect. I think a taller person wold have much more knee bend and I do think taller people look a bit funny on this bike. If I were you, even though I love this bike, I would try one of the newer 1200 scrambler bikes available which I would love to have, but they are too tall for me. Also consider the T-120 which is a bit bigger and might fit you better with all the same features as the street twin.
I'm enjoying your reviews! It's very interesting to have both of your views on the bikes and some models are not easy to find on UA-cam. Keep up the good work!👍
Subscribed guys - shame you couldn't go to Tenerife but can't wait to see you review the trident. Will be going straight to the local dealer when it's out!
Amazing review, you've got a new subscriber! I was just thinking about having one street twin because i definitely love it, but as you say in the video being 6'4" tall as i am is sure a problem. What bike would you recommend me, having that retro style, that i could fit in comfortably? Thanks!!!
The Harleys and Indians are much bigger. I'd have a look at those. Check out our reviews by scrolling down our videos tab - we've done loads of reviews.
@@manuelveigabarranco7917 I have a 2020 Rebel 500. I'm looking to upgrade to a 2020 Street Twin. I'd be very interested to know your thoughts on both bikes. I just feel the Street Twin will run much smoother in the 50-70mph range. I love my Rebel, but also fell in love with this Street Twin! Let me know what you think of both! Is it worth the upgrade? It'll cost me an extra $3500-$4000 to upgrade from the 500 Rebel to the Street Twin.
Great review! Like to watch you guys... Now that you review street twin, if you catch a chance, please review moto guzzi v7 III and compare them. I can't decide between two. Thanks
I'm currently looking to get back into biking now that I've retired. I was at first tempted by the cheap and cheerful nature of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 but since then have widened the net to include the Guzzi V7 Special (I know of a dealer that has them at a grand off brand new) and the Triumph Street Twin, which has now been renamed the Speed Twin 900. I included it because it has the same RRP as the Guzzi sans discount, which is a bit more than I would like to spend if I'm honest, but the reputation for build and component quality over the RE and my distrust of Italian products longevity and, in particular, after sales service and spares availability has me wanting to take a closer look. I'm generally very satisfied with what I've seen but one thing that is bugging me is the lack of a separate tacho. The Speed Twin 1200 has separate instrument binnacles for speedo and tacho whereas the Speed Twin 900 has everything in one. I don't want the 1200 because it's too much of a commitment for what I have in mind plus it costs nearly three grand more than the 900, which is already a stretch for me. Leaving aside the huge gulf in price, at the end of the day the two are basically the same model apart from displacement so I don't understand why this odd difference in the clocks. It may sound really silly but I get the feeling that I'd be riding along and every time that I look at the instruments I'd feel short changed. Does anyone else feel similarly or is it just me?
Excellent review, I learned a lot from this. Very interesting that you included your perspective regarding size/height of rider. I guess they are targeting the most common rider height, as that would translate to more sales, but it's great that you included your comments based on the fact that you're over 6 feet all. I haven't seen that level of detail in any other reviews of the Speed Twin, so I like that. I'm 5' 9'', so it appears as though this would be perfect for my size. Love your reviews. Keep up the good work!!
I'm 176cm (google says: 5ft8) and I have a StreetTwin of the first generation (2016) and it is realy on the edge. Next time, I would buy a higher motorcycle. If I do not take care that I drive completely relaxed, I get muscle cramps in the hip very quickly and have to stop and relieve them again. After I swapped the original bench for the straight bench, it got a little better. What I mean by that: with 5ft9 you should better look out for a higher machine like the SpeedTwin or at least give it a thorough test drive.
Good Review I have the same Bike 2019 street twin in Red. Really easy to ride gearbox very slick sounds Awesome stock too, a really good first big bike.. I’ve just done the decat and Motone Saturn V silencers
Install the TEC front fork emulator with the fork adjuster and add in a bench seat and you pretty much turn the Street Twin into a T100, it will make the bike taller and raise the seat height, and for extra measure add lowered footpegs and the bike will pretty much be a "big" bike (not big enough for the Ol' man obviously but then again I don't think any bike besides a Honda Goldwing would be size appropriate lol)
I had to put forward foot pegs on the similar framed bike i started fixing up, knees just cramp up being bent so far. raised the rear end by 4 inches, still going to have to raise the seat height a bit to get it right for 6 foot 0.
Great review, I love my Street Twin. All of your comments about height are correct, I am not 6ft tall & I think it is perfect size for me, I know the test rider for this bike did 40,000 miles 2-up and it was possible but as you said probably less ideal. I love the exhausts too, still can't believe it came out the factory sounding that good
Fantastic review! Best channel out there! I tested a used one of these and found it odd that I really had to muscle it around corners... Decided it wasn't for me, which was a shame as I loved everything else. But after your clear demonstration, I reckon the one I tested probably had squared off tyres. I should have checked at the time, but as it was a main dealer I trusted they'd have sorted that.... Clearly not! Off out to test another this week! Thanks!
Thx again for your informative and entertaining work, guys Concerning the bike: A nice classic bike ( i love bikes which are equipped with classic, round headlights) but nothing to get crazy about. In this case, me, personally, i would prefer the Enfield Interceptor tbh. Similar style, but approx 3000 € cheaper than the street twin (in Germany)
Prefer your reviews to the press day wet lunches. Nice looking bike, better than the RE and worth the extra money but as with most bikes it looks small under you. Maybe a test on Allen Millyards V10 Viper would be a better fit.
I’m 5.5 , short legs, riding mainly in the city. 80% of the bikes are too high for me (need to be able to stop in emergency at any moment, including while cornering! ) The Street Twin might be an option to replace my old f650gs , one day... Thanks for the review. Thanks for the metric figures!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Yes, I could sit on the Street Twin a couple of years ago at the Brussels motorshow. Nice. Even better on the Scrambbler! But not only the height can be a problem, if the handlebar is too far, the riding position isn’t good for short rider. Kits can help (I haut one for my previous bike).
Nice video overall. One comment however that applies to someone like myself how might be in the market for a beginner bike. What I hear seems to tick most of the boxes, but there is one niggle. The gearing, I read, is quite long. What's your view of that in the context of someone looking at this as a starter bike? That said, well done. Happy to be a new subscriber.
I love the upswept exhaust and aluminum rims of the Street Twin, but wish the paint colours, chrome headlight and twin gauges (clocks for my UK friends) of the T100/T120 were available. That would make the Street Twin pretty much perfect.
Hi, just came across your review. I've had my Street Twin for 2 years now. I love it. I've always wanted a Triumph and was originally going for a T100. But the weight of it put me off. Being only 5' 4" the Street Twin is perfect. I've subscribed so hopefully in the future you will get to Tenerife!!
Great review. Currently looking at Speed Twin 900 or 1200. I am in early stage of decision making and there are alternatives though. In any case, your review is quite eye opening. The 900 is a great bike and now I believbe it is simply targeted towards a broader audience, including women, which might explain the height range. I am 1,86m and that probably means for additional comfort, I need to go with the 1200.
@@markb3180 Thanks! Yes we are trying to find one to review. Kawasaki just look at subscriber numbers (and not how good the videos are) so we are still pushing.
@@MrDarcy-OlMan They have issues with the gear box which Triumph are refusing to admit. Another well know youtuber is covering this issue and triumphs corporate behaviour really puts me off them unfortunately.
Triumph are above BMW and Ducati in the warranty claims table. I've had more issues with BMW than any other make of bike I've owned although their customer service is good.
too bad about the trident. good luck next time! it's anyway too small for anyone over 6ft (sour grapes and all that...) great review as always, cool bike. cheers lads!
Thanks 👍 Yes maybe next year! We will be reviewing the Trident in January 2021 but it would have been nice in Tenerife! We could do something pretty good there for sure!
Great review. Just came across your site. Glad I did. Being 6'3" tall your information is very helpful to me. It's been 25 year's since I drove a bike. Getting back into it. Want retro. Looking at the street twin or Kawasaki w 800. Like to know your opinion. Thanks.
Is that an aqueduct at ~3:40? Nice country. I like those pipes. They sound alright but the finish and style are first rate. I'd have a hard time swapping them out for slightly better sound. So, who's gonna be the first to review the Pan America? Any plans? First hell, your reviews are top notch. I'll wait. Good job once again. Thanks, S
Thanks buddy. There’s a train track on top although I’ve never seen one running. Yes the pipes are neat. Pan America - we’re definitely on the vip list put it that way 👍🏼
After being distracted momentarily by all the bot comments professing their love for you, I do like the look of this bike! Definitely interested in the Royal Enfield Meteor that's incoming though. Ps. Love you guys! Lol 😁 👍
I am a new rider. I’ve never rode a motorcycle before. I am 6’2” and 225 lbs. I’m interested in a cruiser but I am open to your recommendations. Riding fast is not important to me. I just want to cruise and safely enjoy motorcycling. What would be your recommendations?
I recommend that you do some research on small dual sport market. There are several choices in 300 to 400cc range and $5000 to $6000 price. These bikes generally have high seats which should be fine for someone of your size. Suzuki DR650 is also worth considering. With these bikes you can ride on and off road and a great tools for becoming an excellent rider.
I'm currently riding a Tiger 885i and that is definitely not designed for people under 6 ft. So hearing that the Street Twin is perfect for people from 5,7 to 5,10 gives me hope.
Thank you for your quick replie😊! I will definitely try them both, but I guess you are right with the Honda... I‘m looking forward to your next reviews!
Very very helpful.I have a triumph america 2016 but need to change to something which is more nimble in town & city. This might just be the one thanks !
Nice review as always. I’m I alone in thinking your description of the steering doesn’t really fit, or at least suit, the overall style of the bike? I’d want something a tiny bit bit more relaxed than this sounds.
Thanks Johnny. I think on a ‘gentlemans’ bike a rake of 28-30 degrees and appropriate trail would be better, but it’s ok. It just responds instantly to any slight movement.
Hello gentlemen, have enjoyed watching your vids! My one comment is concerning the Harley kickstand. They are designed to lock in place once weight is put on them. They may shift back and forth but they are not suppose to fold till weight is removed. May take some time to get use to them and trust them. Ride safe!
Thanks buddy. Yes that’s true (at least with the Touring bikes) but the Softail stand is flaweed because it often grabs on the ground and doesn’t fully slide out yet the bike can still lean onto the spring, then fall over (it’s happened to me three times
Guys I just want to say that I love the reviews and I also like that you guys aren't tiny people, i'm 6ft4 and I feel I get a really good idea how I would fit on one of these motorcycles!
How did you find the OE tyres? I understand that many don't like them. Lovely bike which would be a calming polar opposite to my Blackbird, I just wish it had a greater fuel capacity. Good work chaps.
phew ; i am glad i watched this vid -normally i say you dont look too big on the bikes you review - even the 125 s. but on this you do ,,, also the cramped gear change position, i was going to buy a red 2019 model ---- tomorrow but being 6 foot 2 - i might as well get the royal enfield 650 or yam scr950 for 3 grand less. --- without knocking triumph or anybody else - it goes to show that your reviews are very worth while.--as it is highly unlikely people can test ride every bike - so you are helping people out if they listen to the specs and every day use tips that you give..
😂 well apparently triumph is very defensive on almost all of the review on UA-cam channel 😂 especially if the review had a single honest opinion about their negativity 😂 😂 😂
I love it since came out, and this color is killer! Now I'm a bit undecided btween the ST and the t100, not much price diference. I'd like to buy my first bike soon. What u guys would do? Nice content, and new sub from México city
Once again a great review I have a question though Currently I ride a 350cc bike (it’s been 2 years) will I be able to handle this bike I would like ur view on this pls
Thanks buddy. We didn’t notice any undue vibration tbh. It’s not particularly hot either (although it was freezing when we tested it so if you live in a hot country the experience may be different)
My heart wants the Rocket 3, but my wallet keeps slapping me hard and telling me this is the one to go for as my next bike. I love the looks of this one too though. By the way, neither of you look out of place on this bike IMO. That actually makes me feel good about this bike, because my build is similar to the Ol' Man. I am going to go sit on one of these as soon as I get a chance.
Definitely sit on both and testride if you can. The Rocket 3 is an excercise in restraint because it’s got so much your always having to be very careful. The Street Twin you can ride and enjoy
@@MrDarcy-OlMan I already checked out the Rocket 3, but will check out the Street Twin, and while I am at it, the Speed Twin too, because I saw your video on that one and liked it. Plus, it has more power which is probably better for my city that has too many freeways (can't get anywhere without using them). Do you think the Street Twin is powerful enough to keep up with high speed traffic? Here, people drive around 80mph.
Great review as usual, honest on the pros and cons, and spot on bout the height issue, jump in one before, looks great from the picture and nice design but really look awkward for a 6 ft from the side, looks like Dwayne Johnson driving nissan micra 😂

I have exactly the same bike 2019 year. I love it. I just bought a new 2020 Tiger 900 GT Pro so I have two Triumphs in my garage now.
Double the fun!
I really like that bike. The simplicity of form is stunning.
Yes agreed!
This review was really useful especially as I’m 6’1 & your size & 74 years old. Being cramped up is no fun after riding for several hours. I ride Harleys but want something lighter than my Dyna Fatbob at 306kg!
Thanks Nick! Glad it helped 👍🏼👍🏼
74 years old and still riding! What an inspiration! I'm 62 and just been riding for a year now, but I'm only hoping that I get to 74 and still riding!
That's a nice bike! I've got the 2011 SE, essentially the same and love it. I upgraded rear shocks and front springs with Tec part progressives and have a new bike. I like the channel!
Thanks John! Great to hear! 👍🏼💯
Excellent! Yes great bike!
OK thanks bud that’s awesome
@Chuck Gladfelter same. Sports feel too cramped, large cruisers are over my budget, but the ST was a solid find for me. Nice kind of upright but not cruiser feel, even the scrambler models would be ideal. Great fits 🤙🏻
I have a 32.5" inseam. However, I am only 5'9. All legs, I know! My problem is the reach to the handlebars with most bikes. But I understand bikes are designed for the body type matching the majority of the target market, so not complaining.
have just ordered mine and your video helped with my choice thanks
Awesome! Glad it helped!
Thanks buddy welcome aboard! Awesome choice 💯👍🏼
Thinking about this bike as something to enjoy relearning on. 61, havent been on a bike in almost 40 yyears.thanks for the informative vid, much respect from Texas. Subbed!
Welcome aboard! It’s a really nice bike; great choice 👍🏼
It’s certainly harder at either end of the scale 👍🏼
This is my favourite motorcycle review channel
Excellent! Thank You! 👍🏼
love your videos. first channel that bring up the problem of finding bike for tall people. waiting for RE Interceptor and Benelli TRK 502x
Thanks buddy. The Royal Enfields are small too. We will be reviewing the range next year
Well shot video. Good audio. What more can we ask for. I like the fact that you show the profile while you’re sitting on the bike and tell us how tall you are. I went to a local BMW dealer and sat on an R 1200 R and couldn’t believe how small the bike was compared to the videos that I was watching.
Thanks buddy! Yes a lot of reviewers are about 5’7” so it gives a completely different impression
Best review on the street twin. I always come across comments saying that it's better to buy the z900rs. But take a closer look, it's two different kind of bikes. Need to ride both for final verdict 👍
Thanks buddy. We think the Triumph is very good indeed 👍🏼
I had one of the first models and loved it. It did run out of puff fairly soon, but the grunt was brilliant. Looking back I feel it was a little low for me - I’m about 5’ 11. The Speed Twin was a much better (sportier) position for me. Great video, well done guys.
Thanks buddy! Nice to hear
Thank you! I actually measured my height recently and I am in fact 6 foot 2. (Wishful thinking!)
Super helpful! I love this bike so much, but I'm torn because I'm 6 ft tall and I am about a size 11 for feet
Street scram is slightly higher. I ride one at 6'2.
I'd go for the Street Scrambler if you are tall, I sat on both and found the Street Scrambler more comfortable
@@tomjiunta1580 Most bikes look tiny under anyone over 6ft. It’s a shame manufacturers don’t address this issue
I'm enjoying your reviews! It's very interesting to have both of your views on the bikes and some models are not easy to find on UA-cam. Keep up the good work!👍
Thanks Carlos 💯👍🏼
Subscribed guys - shame you couldn't go to Tenerife but can't wait to see you review the trident. Will be going straight to the local dealer when it's out!
Thanks buddy and welcome aboard! Next release fingers crossed! We’re reviewing the Trident in January all going to plan
I'm Italian boy, this is a fist video and I love you
Tanks for this recensione
Thank you!
I wish the speed twin 900 came with the double instrument cluster.
I have a Honda Rebel now, but the Street Twin will DEFINITELY be my next bike! 👍 🏍
Great! Both nice bikes!
Me too. I had a Rebel for two years and hallf. Very good. Now I ride a gorgeous Triumph Street Twin.
Thanks
Yes good idea. We nearly did it a couple of months ago but didn’t get time on the day
I'm currently looking to get back into biking now that I've retired.
Definitely love analogue dials and I have a BMW R 18 which has only 1 ‘clock’ and never feel that I’d like 2, being a minimalist.
I have the Royal Enfield Continental GT650 but if buying again I would pay the extra premium and buy the Triumph.
Thanks buddy! Much appreciated. More Triumphs to come soon. 👍🏼👍🏼
@@thorpluto4527 That's very interesting. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Good Review I have the same Bike 2019 street twin in Red. Really easy to ride gearbox very slick sounds Awesome stock too, a really good first big bike.. I’ve just done the decat and Motone Saturn V silencers
Thanks buddy! That’s awesome 💯
Great idea! We’re reviewing the T120 in February 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Looking forward to it, the T120 is a beast of a modern classic.
Brilliant video of an equally brilliant bike! Keep ém coming!!!!
Thanks buddy! 💯
I had to put forward foot pegs on the similar framed bike i started fixing up, knees just cramp up being bent so far. raised the rear end by 4 inches, still going to have to raise the seat height a bit to get it right for 6 foot 0.
Just bought a red 2021 and luv it
Awesome 👍🏼👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan thx man it is a fun bike. fly screens are hard to get. nice vids thx
Triumph is putting out some nice bikes!
Yes definitely 👍🏼
Great review, I love my Street Twin. All of your comments about height are correct, I am not 6ft tall & I think it is perfect size for me, I know the test rider for this bike did 40,000 miles 2-up and it was possible but as you said probably less ideal. I love the exhausts too, still can't believe it came out the factory sounding that good
Thanks buddy! Nice to hear 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan very welcome, I have subscribed. Great video style btw :)
@@AnotherHipster Thanks bro and welcome aboard 👍🏼
Fantastic review! Best channel out there! I tested a used one of these and found it odd that I really had to muscle it around corners... Decided it wasn't for me, which was a shame as I loved everything else. But after your clear demonstration, I reckon the one I tested probably had squared off tyres. I should have checked at the time, but as it was a main dealer I trusted they'd have sorted that.... Clearly not!
Off out to test another this week! Thanks!
I don’t know if you’re used to Harleys or the like but they do need a bit of manhandling, but that’s part of the charm
The 18= front wheel makes it slower steering if you are used to 17s. A bit of counter steering adjustment through the bars soon sort it though.
Thx again for your informative and entertaining work, guys
Concerning the bike: A nice classic bike ( i love bikes which are equipped with classic, round headlights) but nothing to get crazy about. In this case, me, personally, i would prefer the Enfield Interceptor tbh. Similar style, but approx 3000 € cheaper than the street twin (in Germany)
Thanks buddy! Always great to get your input 💯👍🏼
Prefer your reviews to the press day wet lunches. Nice looking bike, better than the RE and worth the extra money but as with most bikes it looks small under you.
Maybe a test on Allen Millyards V10 Viper would be a better fit.
Thanks buddy. 💯 👌
I’m 5.5 , short legs, riding mainly in the city.
80% of the bikes are too high for me (need to be able to stop in emergency at any moment, including while cornering! )
The Street Twin might be an option to replace my old f650gs , one day...
Thanks for the review. Thanks for the metric figures!
We have the opposite problem! Have you tried sitting on one? It may not be so bad
@@kirbylechien ok hopefully you can get something just right 🤞🏼
I sat on one today I am 5.5 and with short legs with sneakers I could touch the floor easy
Thanks buddy. The gearing seemed fine to me. I was riding around in all different places and it was great
I love the upswept exhaust and aluminum rims of the Street Twin, but wish the paint colours, chrome headlight and twin gauges (clocks for my UK friends) of the T100/T120 were available. That would make the Street Twin pretty much perfect.
Great review, would you say the scrambler is a little more roomy for a taller guy?
Thanks Matt. Yes the Scrambler is roomier a bit, especially with a bench seat. The Scrambler XC and XE are more roomy, but still quite a leg bend
Great review keeping it real 👍
Thanks Dolly 👍🏼
Hi, just came across your review. I've had my Street Twin for 2 years now. I love it. I've always wanted a Triumph and was originally going for a T100. But the weight of it put me off. Being only 5' 4" the Street Twin is perfect. I've subscribed so hopefully in the future you will get to Tenerife!!
Thanks Sally! 🤞 we are reviewing a few more Triumphs in January and February which may interest you. Glad to hear you’re getting on with yours
Good review, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated

Nice bike. If I wasn't so concerned about Triumph reliability, I'd consider this or the Trident 660.
Yes! personally speaking we don't have much info on reliability.

OK bro that’s the right plan! Indian Scout or Harley Street Bob we’d say. We reviewed both so you can find them on our videos tab
You should consider a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. It’s taken the retro market by storm over the last 24months.
@@jjnewman65 2 thumbs up! best bang for the buck by a country mile.

This looks fabulous! Would be a killer around town bike
Yes definitely 💯
I really don't get why you'd spend 8k on a 900cc 60 something horsepower for 'around town'
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Thanks for the info, yes sounds like the kick stand is not going far enough forward to catch the lock. that"s a bummer for sure.
