If you are loosing coolant that fast, you should be able to see the leak when the car is running without adding dye. If not, check your oil. If the oil looks milky or foamy, you have a blown head gasket. Or, if the design of your engine has the water pump being driven by the timing chain, your water pump could have a terrible leak causing coolant to pour into your engine. If none of that is the case….then ya, pour in dye and fill up the coolant. Run the engine and look for the leak.
Did you use dex cool antifreeze or any vehicle antifreeze? I don't have dex cool in mine so just wondering if I needed to flush the system and replace with dex cool or if I could drain my antifreeze and just use water with the dye. That way I could reuse my antifreeze
I used Dex because the GM vehicles take that. But you can use the dye in any antifreeze and leave it in. No need to flush it. Just pour in the dye, find the leak and top off with the recommended antifreeze.
You were wrong about all those prices for the equipment and part needed, as well as the diagnostic fee. Dealerships charge the highest diagnostic fee and it's only $150 at most
Thanks! About to do the same thing but wanted to make sure I was doing it right. Had the same idea for laying cardboard too haha. Thanks again man!
Don’t thank me. Thank Scotty Kilmer!
My reservoir getting empty everyday. Should I put dye first and then top up coolant to check leak or just put dye bottle and then check?

thanks a lot, just bought the dye

I would do a coolant pressure test
Did it multiple times. Always held pressure. It baffled me. This was my last resort. The crack in the reservoir had to be hair thin.
Have to we clean after usage this liquid from coolant system ? Is there any harmfull if we dont cleaning after usage ?
No cleaning is necessary. It is an additive that is compatible with the coolant. It can remain in the system.
Were you related t0 Radar on Mash?
No. That show was before my time so idk what you mean.

At the time the video was made, all prices reflect the going rates at the time for what I was quoted and what they cost me.
How's the bean bag bro?
Fantastic. Worth it if you can swing it.
Your my hero
I cannot take all the credit, as I learned this trick from Scotty Kilmer.
