    You have a lot more Natural Hair on the sides and near the top than I do.I was Bald at a younger age and it was mostly all gone and not like older people who lose part of their Hair slowly. You pick the right Systems because I would never know you without your Hair on because it completely changes you.

    I find the tape easier to apply if you apply with the blue side at the top, you can peel away the top white layer of both tabs using a fingernail and i find its less tricky and it sticks to my fingers less and the blue tape is much easier to remove when you are ready for fitting

      Do you ever use Glue like Ghostbond? I think Gluing at least the Hairlines gives you a decent Hairline.@@HairSystemDIY

    Have you tried red tape on a poly unit? Surely that should be ok to remove as long as you're careful picking the edge of the tape? Good video very informative for newbies 👍

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  9 місяців тому

      Im always just a bit careful with tape on ultra thin skins after tearing a few in the past. Might go back there in the future

  • @erichenley7150
    @erichenley7150 9 місяців тому

    Do you find overlapping at the front with the lace tape makes the hairline more detectable?
    Also I have a .04 poly that I have taped the sides and back several times. If you saturate a cotton ball and start at the edge of the tape it rolls up really easy. Does not stretch the poly.

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  9 місяців тому +1

      I wouldn’t say so as long as it’s the right tape. I only ever use lace front tape for the front these days. Sunshine tape version is easier to attach and less gloopy in my experience

    I've heard you suggest to not use tape on ultra thin skins, is a 0.06 Polyskin considered "ultra thin"? or I wont have any problems with it

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  9 місяців тому

      Yes I’d say anything up to a 0.08mm is considered UTS (ultra thin skin)

    Hey man I wanna order a precut system for both the base and hair style… do I have to send them a template, or can I just give them dimensions? Any help you give me would be much appreciated man!

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  9 місяців тому +1

      You can if you want. I just send them dimensions because it’s easier and you don’t have to worry about how long it takes to get there

      @@HairSystemDIY Can you please provide more information on how you create your orders for your non-native English speaking audience? 🤗 For example, how do you tell them the dimensions, or more specifically, how do you measure the dimension of your head and create your order with that information? Sorry to bother you. Great video by the way. 🥰🥰

    Do you use Dawn liquid soap for cleaning your scalp? Also, does the alcohol cause irritation? Thank you...

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  6 місяців тому

      I’m not familiar with dawn liquid soap but I’m guessing it’s similar to Fairy liquid which we have in the UK - it’s better to use isopropyl alcohol 70+% as that sanitises the scalp. I wouldn’t apply more than one layer though as it can dry out the skin if too much is used

  • @andyozFace
    @andyozFace 7 місяців тому

    So are you leaving gaps in the tape at the sides then taping the whole thing at the front.
    Also the ultra bind tape has a long blue strip on one side and double white ones on the other side. Which bit do you stick to the system

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  6 місяців тому

      Correct.
      So you pull the white bits away from the blue and then stick it face down on the system and pull the white strips off

    Hi Adam, with regards to the colour depositing shampoo. Can't find the one you recommend to deliver to the UK. I have seen the John Frieda midnight brunette version, do you reckon it will do?

    why are you putting different type of tape on the front part?

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  6 місяців тому +1

      Because it’s a tape that blends better with the hairline ie it looks more invisible

  • @GTVScotty

    Good work! I don't bother with Scalp protector myself, I re-bond my system every 14 days, tape around the sides and glue on the front hairline, never found any benefit from using scalp protector. Pain in the ass positioning the hair system for re-bond isn't it, I never get it right first time round 🤣

    • @HairSystemDIY
      @HairSystemDIY  9 місяців тому +2

      For sure, everyone is different 👍 . I have a fairly sensitive scalp so I find scalp protector works well for me and strengthens the bond too.

      @@HairSystemDIY Having watched some of your fitting tutorials and those of others, Im considering buying a custom (pre-cut) hair system from lavivid, sending them a photo of the style I want and then fitting it myself without using a stylist which wiould be extra cost and hassle.
