This is a video series I have been wanting to do for the How a Spy Thinks series but I never got around to doing them.
Until NOW!
I want to look at the highly popular map Payload Upward. It is a known fact that this map is found on rotation on nearly every server and is one of the most played. Some of these paths can be taken by the slower classes and some classes have other ways to cover the distances but Medics and Spy could learn a trick or two!

7:45 I never noticed that health packs heal the disguise you're wearing, too. 🤨😳🤯
yep! Helps with the convince, be wary tho if your disguise is at full health and you walk over a pack you will "eat" it anyway and it can be a tell...

I never knew/noticed a lot of these things! I'll definitely use them, seeing as Upward is one of my favorite maps to play Spy on because of all the side-routes!
i love using sneak routes as medic... no sniper expects to die to a blutsauger far behind their lines
I’m a beginner spy after spending 200 hours jumping from class to class trying to find a main and nothing was sticking until I got spy and it now just feels right and now I’ve been binging all your spy content and this I’m sure will help aloy

Another tip - At this situation: 7:18, you can undisguise, and the engineer's sentry would kill the engineer, while the dispenser provides cover from its damage. =)

I gave up on Spy about 500 hours ago so I really don’t know why I’m watching this, I main sniper and medic now, but I feel like I learned more from this than an actual school lesson

Can we all just agree that upward is basically like the best map in the game? all classes have their own affective zones and chokepoints, it's very well balanced and honestly looks really cool

This just in: local spy exposes good routes in upward. Spychecking in those areas increases by 150%

the cheese teleports in the closed off area still works haha, it wins my team so many games. "TAKE THE TELE!! TAKE THE TELEE!!" then the enemy team gets bombarded and spawn camped

5:27 I love to put an exit tele there using the dispenser or sentry to boost myself there as an attacking engie, 15% survival rate. The sentry has a taller collide box than dispensers from lv 1 (not minis).
8:09 also you can jump onto the door frame from the boxes and hide over the dispenser without being bumped often (jumping soldiers and demos may bump ya).

The principles OMFGNinja set years ago still stand in terms of mindgames and creative map navigation.
I am new to this channel, but I already love your content. It's such a shame I am not a very good Spy, cuz I get stressed that someone will bump into me.
There is one very useful jump you missed on Upward, and all classes can do it! All you have to do is jump off a cliff and you can get down to the bottom of Upward really fast, very useful jump!
One more thing, at last, you can jump onto the railings near the pit and onto the railings on the elevated area outside red spawn. Useful for when the red engie is set up there
Ahh yes, I'm used to going past the ammo packs but the direct route to get to teleporters is useful to know!

mrP please make a medic guide if you do one of these things again because now so many players are playing spy on upwards and not listening about stacking and they are not even good so pushing to the second point on upwards is insanely hard since we have over 6 spies and no medics to crack the nest. If you read this please make an announcement about it I literally cant play upwards on offense rn.
Do you know any routes below the the final payload zone, like any hiding spots or jumps (if any).
