Well I'm Jewish and I have done a lot of studies into the Kabbalah so I would say I do research on Golams! I already know what I would use for my thaumaturgical foundation! See there was a point immediately after the fall of Alexander the great's empire dream existence of the ptolemaic kingdoms which included Egypt and Israel, was a pretty popular movements that we now refer to as Hellenistic Judaism which tried to combine Jewish religious ideas with Greek philosophical ideas. So if I were a mage I would use Hellenistic Judaism and Kabbalah as my foundation. No the golem is a creature that is sculpted from clay and is limitation of God's process of creating Adam, the fascinating thing is in Greek mythology the Titan Prometheus is said to have created mankind from scouting us from clay. and rabbinic scholars have already conflated the figure of Prometheus with the kabbalistic angel Raziel the archangel of secrets! so this hybrid synchronized figure of Prometheus/ Raziel is how I would combined found liturgical foundations of Hellenistic Judaism and Kabbalah. I would done pretty much use that foundation to explore the kind of thaumaturgy that was addressed in the first Case files novel about angels being vessels of power and I would combined that with Golams with the goal to create artificial angels!
Favorite definitely servants but I most likely would get myself a cat familiar and use the soul of a terminally ill human in its creation as a way to grant them immortality(or maybe I should use a snake to tease a certain golden boy)
I know I'm being ambitious, I would like spirit under an Elemental classification. Preferably a guardian spirit as they are combination of nature spirit and a human soul, although I would also have get that as aged enough so that human soul had provided it enough human like mortality.
I'd imagine having penguin familiars while working at Chaldea would be really useful when needing tasks done outside...and no I'm not saying that to justify the dozen penguins I totally did not smuggle into my room.
Familiars, definitely one of the major types of mage craft that I would want to specialize in besides ruin Magic. Even though it's like having a lesser servant there's no denying that it's quite the spectacle on its own.
I loved when ubw added illya having Irisviel's familiar powers during the first major battle. That and Deen making Sakura a rescue mission were nice forms of added content compared to "that" scene in hf. Really made us see the difference between servent and magus battles was pretty nice. Also just a cool callback overall to irisviel was very touching as well.
@@OtakuDaiKun I feel the anime even hf washed a lot out of it. Knk we see so much happen to fujino compared But still ubw had the best added content giving illya some form of defense better than shinji using shadows which while good to give shirou some battle experience meh overall. Although best of all is seeing luvia and waver plus the whole epilouge of ubw is my favorite
Actually, Lugh is an over 3,000 year elemental. Touko formed an actual contract with him by sacrificing the hair she had loving grown for 20 years, yet at best it was a contract in name alone. As Lugh was simply too powerful to bind as an actual familiar. So there was an attempt at a contract, as Touko wanted the base insurance of control. And Solomon wrote the Lesser key of Solomon in Nasuverse, he didn't read it. He already possessed the knowledge to summon and create the demon god pillars.
In the third case files novel, Touko has advanced the thaumaturgy behind her cat projectors by a noticeable degree. At that time she's actually using tiny Bird Auomaton that contain a smaller version of The ether projector. The birds then project the cat familiar around themselves kind of like wearing a holographic display, and though they are immaterial existences unable to be truly harmed by physical attacks they are capable of responding in kind and doing physical damage putting a lot of pressure on Grey even with the use of Add.
I'd love to know how Merlin tamed Fou (aka Primate Murder)... like, that'd be an interesting OVA or manga chapter. Like we can imagine how Arcueid's sis managed it- brute force. But Merlin? How? Did he promise the little demon a lifetime supply of carrots or something? Tbh, that's something I'd want details on.
I haven't seen it used in fate yet, but normally a high priest is given a familiar from their patron deity if they have shown enough devotion. Most of the time this is simply seen as a priest who has a flock of birds with one being oddly intelligent. It's genuinely adorable to see simple living priests in small villages with a blessing they don't themselves understand but they live in such happiness they lack the need to investigate
You're videos are amazing!! An easy way to get into the vast lore of the fate universe and even many other videos you make on your own with interesting topics... Never stop making videos like this.
Solomon didn't learn from Legmeton. He learned from God how to summon and bind the 72 Demon Gods through the ritual called Goetia/Human Order Correction Ritual.
Honestly, I'd love to see a mage who fights by controlling Phantasmal level creatures like the Soul Eater, Spriggan, or Shantak from FGO. If for nothing else than to see them in a new context!
I'm pretty sure you meant "magic energy" when you said "magic circuits" referring to "material rich in " magic energy, "such as hair, eyes, and blood" to create a familiar.
Mercury golem servant whatever add is Skelton warrior animal a lot of options for them. Sieg would sorta be both in his body in fgo and Kato danzo is a puppet summon servant. Nero had his Chimera things and the pharohs have stands. Also with Medea having tons of them from kojurou to her soldiers is good to see for mobs.
I would combin technology and familier magecraft to creat miniture sized tranformers or something allong those lines or somthing like a mini deathstar.
As tempting as that is, under normal circumstances magecraft and technology get along like water and oil. It took a *lot* of dedication to bring them together as seen in Grand Order and Extra. However, in rare cases such as Kiritsugu Emiya's Origin Bullets, it can be used to devastating effect against other mages who aren't prepared to counter it.
Would you, maybe, at some point to a lore video of "Mahou Tsukai no Yoru" ? As it seems we'll never get an anime for that and Aoko is (at least cause of how she looks) one of my most favorite type-moon characters^^° But since i can't rly play the VN or find anything else it would most likely the only way to get to know the whole story^^°
In Yu-Gi-Oh, you summon Monsters. Now there is a type of monster called Ritual Monsters. You need a Ritual Spell and the appropriate Ritual Monster. Now under these circumstances, Would Ritual Monsters be considered Familiars, based on what you have described Servants as?
It’s not like they’re fused together it’s more along the lines of Romulus became deified as the god Quirinus but his extremely close ties to humanity and more specifically Rome allowed him to keep a part of his humanity. So he is essentially both the founder of Rome, Romulus and the old Roman god quirinus
Normally it couldn't be done. The greater grail plays a huge role in the summoning process. As for FGO, Chaldea's director invented an entirely separate system to do it.
What's your favorite kind of familiar?
Servants or the Dragon Tooth Warriors.

I heard an leviathan like alterego likes your udea

Do you mean rune magic? Or is there some ‘ruin’ magic i haven’t heard off?
Just look at the spectacle that is Reece with Jeanne D'Arc Archer.
The lessons feel like when dads invite you into the garage to help fix the car, "I'm learning!" *holds the flashlight* "I'm a mechanic now!!!"
it pains me to see such underrated channels not getting the love they deserve
FIX THIS UA-cam
Maybe because of his pronunciation?
Funny how an ancient Sumerian demigod Queen and a Greece princess/witch have similar taste in dragon tooth warrior golems
I mean there both age of god mages presumably so there wasn't that much creativity
Hey, good quality soldiers are hard to come by

In short: Waifu Golem/Familiar Magus edition
Exactly
Man it’s so cool how Fate and MeltyBlood lore spill over into each other
From what I understand it's the same world but possibly different timelines, or just, two events happening at different areas.
I haven't seen it used in fate yet, but normally a high priest is given a familiar from their patron deity if they have shown enough devotion. Most of the time this is simply seen as a priest who has a flock of birds with one being oddly intelligent.

Seriously, thank you for making this series. I plan to run a TTRPG based in the Fate universe and these videos will be so useful.

The one that illyaveil von ainsbern uses those string birds
Yoo I just discovered this series and man we totally needed an indepth look at Nasuverse magic. This is underrated!!

God dude I really love the magic content in the nasu-verse.
Teach me Dai-Sensei
I second that

Atlas and aliens are the only ones who know the potential of combining magecraft with technology to mind boggling levels.
Necromancer you say
I am have a necromancer character necrom he is a lich in bone armor
this video was amazing as always Daikun
As always I loved it. I would love to have some familiars as friends, the ones that are independent and have a soul.
is this how you actually talk or is it just top-notch voice acting in action?
My casual speech is more slurred and lazy, but this is just me putting in more effort to sound clear and nuanced.
Avcievbron, good times. You can't use Golems to answer every problem
If you can't solve all your problems with golems you aren't using enough golems.
I shall have a Heroic-Spirit Penguin as a familiar! Oh wait, I believe there is one **wink**
Those things Illya used in UBW were familars, didn't know that. I imagine the typical magus prefers the perfectly controlled familar.
Angels hair seems like a good type of making familiars since you need Mana and hair which many people have
Heck yes this was a great video
I love your videos can't wait for your next servent lore and magecraft videos
Guy has voice as some villain mage from Fate.
Man! Cant wait for the necromancy lesson
excellent channel AS ALWAYS
Damn it looks like Touko have many things for her to use in combat, what's next asking arcueid to become her familiars?
Yas!
You should do a lesson on Jewel magecraft
Oih. Familiars how intresting. Thx for this amazing video
I wonder if Shirou can create a familiar made of steel using his UBW?
Like a steel golem. Perhaps if he had enough training and mana.
No. Shirou has shit tier magic capabilities less than Gudao/ko. He only has aptitude for reinforcements that he uses Trace On for.

how does a 10 day old vid have 5 months old comments....
Hello hello otakudaikun I am enjoying your videos a lot go get tiger. 🐯
Can I have goetia as a familiar ad well as the Dragon tooth golems
Can u make a lore on Romulus and Quirinus i’m confused about them and how they fuse together
Do asterios’s lore or Orion’s lore
So what would happen if someone were to try to summon a heroic Spirit outside of a holy Grail war?
Normally it couldn't be done. The greater grail plays a huge role in the summoning process. As for FGO, Chaldea's director invented an entirely separate system to do it.
where does alcie kunonji's plays fit in here?
I'm not sure. I still need to play Mahoyo.
Think if true magic were familiars
I can’t wait for all of the singularities from FGO to get animated :) Will that ever happen? 🤔
I seriously wonder.
OtakuDaiKun Damnnnn, let’s hope for a miracle I guess 😅
Should I consider fammilar to be a race or a title..
It’s a category. Servants are familiars
is the box a demon or the box contains the demon
Touka's box? I think it's the creature inside.
Can u make a video about solo leveling
I've never tried it.
Dude the echo is cringe asf
Hehehe oof
