When you are doing research for the video on homunculi, be sure to fully research the history of the Einzberns, because one of the reasons they're homunculus are so exceptional is that they're functionally copies of the Rhinemaidens from Germanic mythology. Though vastly different in terms of power and scale homunculus are alot like True Ancestors in that they are essentially incarnated nature spiritsgiven a human form rather than just an artificial human. And much like Arcuaid from Tsukihime, Illya is able to draw power and virtually unlimited magical energy from nature. Although they are technically more nature Spirits then they are artificial humans, the creation of homunculi is similar enough to the idea of cloning that it's mystery has greatly decreased in the modern era leaving very few families of Magi able to come anywhere near the Einzberns in terms of skill. Modern science simply knows too much about the human body for homunculus, puppets and golems to be of any practical use to the vast majority of Magi.
I knew that Reality Marbles were used by quite a bit of characters from the nasuverse, but I never realised that Shirou was one of the ONLY humans with one
Though technically didn't Shirou only gain the knowledge of reality marbles from his alternative reality self. Doesn't that create a self destructive loop ? Since Shirou needs his Counter Guardian self to gain Unlimited Blades Work. And he needs Unlimited Blades Work to gain his greatest victory. So at the same time Shirou is one of the only humans to have a reality marble. And just another servant with one. Multi dimensional theory and the possibility of multiple selves existing gives me a headache. Especially when you throw in the fact your other selves become an integral part of what becomes your trademark abilities. Though I get a kick that Shirou is a copycat to the end.
@@clothar23 Shirou was gonna have the Reality Marble with Archer’s influence or not. It’s said that without any outside influence, it would take Shirou at least 10-20 years to discover and master his reality marble. All Archer did in both the UBW and HF routes was speed up that process, by a lot. Instead of ten years of finding, establishing, forming and manifesting his reality marble, it took UBW Shirou only, at max, a week to do the same because of his confrontation with Archer
@@connormccarthy6741 True enough but I would argue Archer's influence changed the fundamental nature of Shirou's marble as it forced Shirou to reflect on his desire to be a hero. Where as Shirou's marble is a much more sunlight and clean place. So I would argue Shirou's marble as it stands is entirely due to Archer's influence. Without it Shirou and by extension Unlimited Blades Works would have just been Heroic Spirit Emiya 2.0 .
@@clothar23 I would then argue in response that the reason Archer’s reality marble is the way it is is purely due to his experiences as CG and Shirou’s reality marble is what it used to look like.

Can't help but think that Fujimaru Ristuka has the potential to get a Reality Marble after all they've experienced in the Singularities and Lostbelts. There is no way they won't lose their _Marbles_ by the time we face the Foreign God. A Chaldea based RM w/ all their Heroic Spirits is broken but fitting.
For regular human obtaining RM is almost equal to insanity in a some way, since it beyond understanding of humans. With his life... I guess he has good chances.
For those who keep blaming Grand Order for the excessive Servants with Reality Marbles it is actually Fate/Extra that began the trend. That game had the Serial Phantasm, Nursery Rhyme, BB, King Protea (designed but not implemented), among other things like Nero’s Golden Theater (a bounded field almost to the level of a Reality Marble). Then Zero gave us Iskandar’s Reality Marble. And Apocrypha, in 2012, gave us Jeanne with her La Pucelle, and Avicebron’s golem nonsense. So yes, Servants were already using them left and right before Grand Order was conceived. Dead apostles has Marble Phantasm, which allows you affect aspects of existing world (with allowing from World itself), not creating their own. Well, some of them can use Reality Marble too. It`s easier for them to obtain it, since RM requires is kinda inhuman perseption of the world.

@ivanbluecool I mean everyone has a "inner world" in fate. So potentially Atem would have a maze reality Marble while Yugi who has a normal room as an inner world wouldn't.
Kerry's reality marble is super interesting in how he uses it and shirous with ubw I like a lot especially with the ubw ending showing how his inner world is a lot better by the end. Also for the people in back. Two reality marbles clashing the stronger one wins and if they are balanced they are warping in half to battle to see who can be surpreme
It is not. As I understand the subject, there are layers of reality on the earth, called textures. These are like parallel worlds which cannot be accessed by normal magecraft, requiring true magic or similarly vast powers such as some noble phantasms.
I got into Kingdom Hearts and saw the Keyblade Graveyard and could not stop myself I am the bone of my Keyblade. Steel is my body and fire is my blood. I have created over a thousand Keyblades. Probably would have been good to note that outside of Shirou, there's supposedly only 6 humans recorded in the Association's history to ever achieve a fully manifested RM to underscore just how rare it is.
I've read from some old forums that say that reality marbles are forbidden because a human mage that possess one have had to experience a very deep and scarring trauma to obtain it. Shirou for example, had to become the sole survivor from the aftermath of the fourth holy grail war. That's why most reality marbles are depicted as deadly weapons when deployed. Servants are just records of a person in the past sent as a spirit in the present time. So it's normal for them to cast a reality marble as long as it coincide with their legend. But if a living human mage were to cast it, one could only imagine the great pains that person had to endure to acquire such a power. Also if memory serves me right, there are canonically 5 mages in the nasuverse history who had reality marbles on them. Though I don't really remember their names. I'm not saying these things are fact though, I'm only sharing what I found back in the day. Still a bit hazy in a few info regarding this little tidbit. Awesome video btw.
Shirou isn't the sole survivor of the great fire. We see many people survive it and it's only Shirou being lucky that Kerry took him in so he wasn't made a Mana battery for Gilgamesh as kirie took all the other kids into the basement. Also Original story would have had the girl Shirou let die be proto mashu and hate him for leaving her to die so no shirou wasn't the sole survivor it's more so his special place in getting Avalon and understanding swords better than other weapons Clock tower wanted Shirou to join but limit him but he turned it down as the sealing of his ubw would limit him as the magus could kill him more easy so he left after the 3 years of learning to not give them that chance so executors like bazzet and kirie or in canon ciel wouldn't hunt him down. But to break it down. Reality marbles are simply the person's inner world made manifest into the real world as thier conviction is that strong seeing emiya's inner world show how he is in life being cloudy and empty with swords as that's all he has left while Shirou is a more clear world as his mind isn't as cloudy as emiya since he found his resolve which is also why his chant is different than Archer's. Ishkander shows his inner world have his warriors since they gave him the lead and followed him all the way which reflects ishkander in how his reality marble works If you have more questions you can see tsukuhime or knk they explain more on reality marbles or mahoyo.
@@ivanbluecool like I said I'm not saying that what I said above was what really happened. I'm just sharing a little tidbit I found back then. The nasuverse wasn't really as in depth as it is right now and most discussions and forums were just clumps of Kinoko Nasu's interviews. So grounds of it weren't really reliable. Still, you do have to admit that as dark as it sounds, the idea of a mage craft being forbidden just because it correlates to a person's trauma is kinda cool.
@@LoliLover36669 old forums are a mess with information and even reddit in 2020 still brings up wrong info. Ishkander isn't his dark side more so his dream and army who all gave thier lives to him hence why he can summon them since he leads them. I doubt medb or Nero(tsukuhime) are trauma based. @@ivanbluecool Gotta ask though. Would reality marbles have a connection to a person's origin? Makes me curious if like someone's origin was time they'd be able to create a reality marble where they can control time there however they please. Though I guess there'd still be some rules to limit it's usage
@@LoliLover36669 connection to the persons inner world is basically how they lived thier life and the reality marble is just a reflection of that. Shirou was good with swords as Avalon was within him but it's the best thing he can understand hence why it's ubw or unlimited blade works. Ishkander is his army which was what he did in life to keep going to reach okeaneas. It's just how the person is in life that affects it. Same as bounded fields. In a Reality Marble, where one imposes their own reality upon the World, it is theoretically possible to circumvent the Laws of the World and Reality.

Well to make sure that I understand the last videos, something like Altera’s Photon Ray or Rama’s Brahmastra, (Karna’s Vasavi Shaki maybe?) is the full strength is the full power of a weapon. A Bounded Field exists in the world, like Waver’s Unreturning Formation, Asterios’s Chaos Labyrinth, Mash’s Lord Camelot or Skadi’s Gate of Sky. And a Reality Marble is something like Jeanne Alters’s Np, Drake’s Golden Wild Hunt, but also Edmond Dantes’s Np. What about Heracles’s Nine Live, King Hassan’s Azrael and Brndildr’s Brynhild Romantia?
Nine lives refers to a technique and a weapon. The sword axe. Azrael is also a technique, based on KH pure faith and willingness to his duty as one who dolls out death. They are both normal noble phantasms being a weapon/technique that is what made their heroic tale and is proof they were a hero.
It's nothing actually a reality marble, although the methods are similar it's not a manifestation of her inner world.it's place on top of the world instead of covering it
There are so many examples of specific reality marbles and bounded fields in the Nasuverse, that mentioning each and every one of them would probably have made the video too long (not that I would have minded).
Neros "Np" (its technically not an actual np its a sword technique like Fake Assassin of Stay nights) is not a reality marble its more of a bound field that boost her parameters for a little bit
Hey dai since a reality marbles are a manifestation of users mind then do all mages are capable of using one. Also if you would have a reality marbles what do you think it would be.
Not all mages are capable manifesting their own Reality Marbles. This trait is considered the rarest among rarest. I knew someone would ask. Basic answer the stronger one would win and overtake the weaker one as it's the persons inner world so it would go to one world again. If two reality marbles are equal then they will simply split the world down the line and then it will be a clash of both worlds to see who can overcome the other as the marble is the person's inner world made manifest
I don’t need magecraft. My built for my imagination and existence is more than enough. “Not wanting” is the sealing itself to prevent itself for manipulating fates, time and creation.
It would be ishkander overtaking emiyas inner world if his is stronger as it's a manifestation of the person's inner world into reality. If emiya is stronger then ishkander can't bring his out but if ishkander is stronger he would cancel emiya's. If both tie them it's split down the middle.

Friendly reminder that Satsuki's reality marble is fucking broken againts magi, elementals, servants and everything that depends on mana, prana, od, etc.
For a mage to cast a bounded field, he or she can she just use the Mana in the mage body itself, as it's usually a small scale spell depending on the ability and the quality of the magical circuits if the mage. But when it comes to bounded fields, I am pretty sure just using Mana stored in the mage body won't be enough..you would need to be close to a leyline or have some external Mana source to generate and sustain the bounded field..am I right sensei?
Technically not, apparently. It's one of those weird things Nasu pulls with the writing. As far as I'm concerned it might as well be. The difference seems to be that Nero isn't manifesting her internal world, but rather conjuring the theater that actually existed.

After all in their fight in UBW we see Archer's marble to be a dark and clouded over place. With many of the blades showing some form of neglect or heavy use.

And that’s without touching the stuff from the Tsukihime series (All Dead Apostle Ancestors can affect reality in some way, and the Brunestud sisters have their Phantasm crap).

You mean the maze? Yes it would be his inner world if he changes the real world with his labyrinth. It reflects how his mind is a mess and he has to find his way through it. Dude... the VA work is dope. Hint of Vic and Steve
Also Original story would have had the girl Shirou let die be proto mashu and hate him for leaving her to die so no shirou wasn't the sole survivor it's more so his special place in getting Avalon and understanding swords better than other weapons
Clock tower wanted Shirou to join but limit him but he turned it down as the sealing of his ubw would limit him as the magus could kill him more easy so he left after the 3 years of learning to not give them that chance so executors like bazzet and kirie or in canon ciel wouldn't hunt him down.
Ishkander shows his inner world have his warriors since they gave him the lead and followed him all the way which reflects ishkander in how his reality marble works
If you have more questions you can see tsukuhime or knk they explain more on reality marbles or mahoyo.
But yeah reality marbles are just someone's inner most life made into reality with Mana with emiyas world being cloudy like his resolve and with gears showing his machine mind while Shirou is not cloudy and clear as his resolve shows while the ubw anime goes further showing his inner world is pretty and green with broken gears showing the machine is gone and most importantly Rin to add to the fact he isn't alone anymore.
Ishkander isn't his dark side more so his dream and army who all gave thier lives to him hence why he can summon them since he leads them.
I doubt medb or Nero(tsukuhime) are trauma based. It's basically just your dreams or life in the real world.

Servants that can conjured Reality Marble are not always like Shirou who manifested his own due to trauma. Iskandar aspect is his towards determination that seized upon conquest, Nero to aesthetic to the highest form of art.
Otaku do you think that you will be able to do videos on all masters in Fate GO ?
Possibly. I think this series works better focusing on the types of magecraft rather than specific mages though.
@@OtakuDaiKun i guess so but you'll never know unless you try right ? Btw great video good work.
Also its just that between you and me (and the other people that read this comment) I'm writing a Fate and I'm looking for information on Ophelia Phamrsolone and idk why i can't find anything on her it's probably that I'm not looking where I'm supposed to but idk. I already finished the prologue and it's going great and ur videos have been a great help with stuff i didn't know.
I want a reality marble similar to UBW, but also be able to have the Gate of Babylon that way, I HAVE all the weapon's and can copy and edit them how I please, that way, I can make weapon's and noble phantasm's as I please for specific situation's, though, unlike Shiro, I wouldn't use the marble on reality and settle for only using it similar to Gilgamesh, that is, unless push comes to shove
Well I mean the only way to have gob is to have access to all of gilgamesh's treasures which is highly unlikely
@@okita_souji_alter unlikely, but not impossible
@@okita_souji_alter At the end of the day the Gate of Babylon isn't that impressive. The weapons contained within it are what gives it any credence as an ability.
So in theory amassing a collection of powerful weapons and finding a way to conveniently carry them is all that is necessary .
Sure finding or creating equals to what is in Gilgamesh's treasury might be a tall order. But it was done once so it can be done twice.
@@clothar23 I mean if you actually think about it seems pretty broken. He has the originals of what the noble phantasms are based on he basically has all the originals of the weapons most heroic spirits have besides divine constructs like karma's spear or excalibur all he has to do is find the right weapon to counter a heroic spirit since its probably in his vault
@@LoneWolf20213 I mean how would one go about finding them all he scattered them across the world there could be millions hell even more
So, what would happen if two marbles were cast simultaneously would one override the other?
I knew someone would ask.
Basic answer the stronger one would win and overtake the weaker one as it's the persons inner world so it would go to one world again.
If two reality marbles are equal then they will simply split the world down the line and then it will be a clash of both worlds to see who can overcome the other as the marble is the person's inner world made manifest
Higher concept and mistery wins.
Marbles hurt people
Kiritsugu: "No, I hurt me kiddo"
You forgot Kiritsugu Emiya
He creates a reality marble inside his own body
Wait would Ahkilleius Cosmos count as a reality marble.
One would think but I've seen it classified as a bounded field.
I don’t need magecraft. My built for my imagination and existence is more than enough. “Not wanting” is the sealing itself to prevent itself for manipulating fates, time and creation.
can you activate your NB reality marble on active one like rider doing his on ubw
It would be ishkander overtaking emiyas inner world if his is stronger as it's a manifestation of the person's inner world into reality.
If emiya is stronger then ishkander can't bring his out but if ishkander is stronger he would cancel emiya's. If both tie them it's split down the middle.
@@ivanbluecool We actually see a good example of this in UBW. With Heroic Spirt Emiya versus Shirou. The landscape of Unlimited Blades Works splits down the middle to reveal both Archer's and Shirou's inner selves.
Doesn’t Archibald describe Kiritsugu’s time alter as a reality marble, or am I misremembering?
It’s similar but no cigar
I think it's a Bounded Field.
The direct translation of Reality Marble is Innate Bounded Field so technically yes in the sense that both Bounded Field and Reality Marble have similar names in Japanese. It makes sense since a Reality Marble is a bounded field that exists innately (naturally) within a person
jujutsu kaisen domain expansion
On the subject of Reality Marbles what would happen if the Second Magic, Third Magic or Fifth Magic were used inside of one? i imagine the Second would allow the user to leave especially if they know how to use it to travel
This is unfounded but I'd like to think true magic supersedes a reality marble.
Considering True Magic is from the root i wouldn't be surprised i'm curious how the Jewelled Sword would manage against ORT or the Alien God we know it can be used to battle a Type but it pushed Zelretch so far he can't do it again
So in yu-gi-oh terms a bounded field is a generic field while a reality marble is an archetype specific field spell
Zoomers call it domain expansion these days
Friendly reminder that Satsuki's reality marble is fucking broken againts magi, elementals, servants and everything that depends on mana, prana, od, etc.
For a mage to cast a bounded field, he or she can she just use the Mana in the mage body itself, as it's usually a small scale spell depending on the ability and the quality of the magical circuits if the mage. But when it comes to bounded fields, I am pretty sure just using Mana stored in the mage body won't be enough..you would need to be close to a leyline or have some external Mana source to generate and sustain the bounded field..am I right sensei?
Depends on the size of the marble and field. A leyline definitely helps.
I wonder how mages would react to domain expansion from jujutsu kaisen
A
Is the "taboo" better or worse than a sealing designation?
They could kill you over a taboo, but a sealing designation is a bit more complex.
Is Okita Souji's Mumyou Sandanzuki a reality marble as well?
Is Aestus Domus Aurea not a reality marble?
Technically not, apparently. It's one of those weird things Nasu pulls with the writing. As far as I'm concerned it might as well be. The difference seems to be that Nero isn't manifesting her internal world, but rather conjuring the theater that actually existed.
Its a bounded field close to a RM
The source for this type of pocket dimension magic is the planetary arcane weave, ley line, in short Shirou hacks his mana,
So is Asterios’s NP a Bounded Field or Reality Marble? In-game it seems to be the latter, but in Okeanos it looks to be the former.
Why is Nero's and Ozymandias NP not categorised as reality marble?
Wasn't Kiritsugu Emiya able to turn his own body into a reality marble of sorts according to fate/zero, using his time alter?
I'm not sure that counts as a reality marble.
@@OtakuDaiKun thank you for your reply upon retrospection and research in other fate related sites the answer they keep giving is that it is a bounded field you are 100% right thank you again for the reply man
