    Also for clarity multiple tight curl artists let me know my hair was damaged beyond repair in their opinion. I also partnered with a tight curl artist for haircare instruction and quarterly trims. My transitioning out of damage was a necessary part of my journey. There was no point in holding on to hair length in poor condition.

      What caused the irreparable damage?

      @@Becca14219 I used henna. Henna doesn't work for my hair but may work for others hair.

    I was going every 4 months but changed my appointments to every 3months beginning 9/20. Haven’t used any oils or butters period since my 30day hair detox almost 1 1/2 years. My hair loves this method also.

    You have had quite a journey, but the current result is beautiful coils.💜 I hope you can figure out products that work well and long-term for your scent sensitivity.🙏 I've used products that scent too strong for my liking or last too long in my hair and make me sneeze due to allergies but nothing like the issues you experience.
    Every time I shampoo, condition, and style my hair I'm grateful that I never started using raw oils and butter in my hair. I don't know if I will ever have the experience of sitting in one of the curl artists' chairs, but at least my hair is well-hydrated.

    How did you damage your hair to the point where stylists told you that you needed to grow it out? I'm currently growing out henna, ugh.

    • @FoAdunni
      @FoAdunni  Рік тому

      It was 1 henna use for me. I have coarse hair so henna totally killed my hair for the type of hairstyling I wanted to do, but it may have a different impact for you.

    I have followed the Black Girl Cirls method for about 2 years. Game changer, but I get flakes after a day or two. Is this something you have experienced? I don’t subscribe to the university anymore, but trying to figure out if I need more water or if that is just the name of the game. 😩
