  • Tiger Woods shot a 71 in the final round to win the 1999 Motorola Western Open. His three-shot victory made him the number one player in the Official World Golf Rankings once again.
Tiger Woods' chase for Sam Snead's record of 82 PGA TOUR wins began at the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational, his first TOUR win in just his fifth professional start. Over 20 years later Woods' excellence has seen him raise a trophy in six countries and 16 different American states.

I will never forget the day I shot a 59 at Cog Hill.
Unfortunately, a marshall kicked me off the course after I played only six holes.

25:37 “525 yard hole, 175 yard wedge for his second and he makes birdie.”

38:40 if you ever wondered what a Trevino swing w/Horsepower would look like at full speed!

Interesting they mentioned the purse was 2.5M for this tournament back in 1999. I noticed that 2.5M is usually the purse for the average DP World Tour in 2024, and is what the purse is for the Dubai Invitational being played on the DP World Tour this week.

How can this video be downvoted? If you don’t like watching vintage Tiger, you don’t like golf. That swing, the putting stroke, the short game, the imagination, the nerve, the strategy... it’s all the gold standard in the sport. How did basketball evolve? Because every serious player from an early age studied Jordan’s technique and training regimens. Duh. If you can’t see the value in Tiger’s example as a player and competitor to every golfer who came after him, stay off the freaking golf course and on the couch.

Oh my, relax. Lol this is the ONLY reason I’m glad they got rid of the dislikes. Don’t see comments like this anymore 😂
