I actually want Qiqi but 2 accounts played a year and a half and I still don't have Qiqi. I get c1 keqing C2 diluc, jean, dehya, c1 tighnari and I've won 50/50 the rest. I also don't have Mona on both accounts but I don't want her.

he knows the basics, the very important basics. It took me 2 months to clear abyss, and 3 months to have it 36 (I started playing while watching his guides). His "whom to pull" videos saved me from wasting my wishes. But after you get all the basics, his advice is no longer necessary.

Try to pick who to get has made me realize that I actually don’t care about the meta all that much. As a new player, everyone says to get xingqiu but I find him so annoying that I’d hate playing him. Since I plan to pull for Nahida, I honestly might just get Ningguang so she and Beidou can hangout together in my teapot 😂
EDIT: y’all I got Ningguang and C1 Gaming while wishing for Nahida and Nahida came home in less than 20 pulls I’m DEAD! may you all have the same luck!

characters like xiangling and xingqiu are annoying to play as new players, including me a while ago. But they get better when you know more about the game. Also, you don't need meta when you don't plan to 36* abyss.

Yo, I feel called out. Ningguang is literally hanging out with Beidou in my teapot too does this make me basic lol Ningguang is good if you're a teapot main tho, she marks the map with the location of ores so it makes it easy to almost never be out of materials

Biedou is going to be available in the starglitter shop during Lantern Rite (feb)!
If you have c0 Biedou, you can get her c2 this Lantern Rite if you have 34 starglitter!
Alternatively, if you want to save your free 4-star for someone else, just pick her up for starglitter instead.
34 star glitter is 7 wishes, so just make sure that's worth it to you and you already have enough wishes for your 5-stars.
As someone who has c1 beidou, but also wants to get Xingqui, I see this as an absolute win that’s for the heads up 😊

Yes! I can finally c6 my Beidou
Im a beidou main and her constellations really turn her into a beast! I have a number of five stars and I still prefer her most of the time. She is good for hyperbloom with the sumeru crafted claymore

Yaoyao will be definetly my pick. Nahida is the only dendro-char I have (beside traveler and collei) so another one will be great for future teams.

Xingqiu is obtainable from the Starglitter Shop, and frankly, if you have Furina and/or Yelan, you don't need him.

As a C2 yaoyao haver, you're making a great choice. She's really good, her heals are amazing and dendro application is a great plus.

Chongyun is fun, I was a Kaeya Main from acquisition to AR 56 and man Chongyun gave this man so much extra damage. Love him, he's good on Noblesse :)
Chongyun could be an interesting pickup if you're going for Cloud Retainer and don't want to C6 Bennett, as he can enable cryo plunges for her team instead.

im ar 29 and at 72 pity, i like cloud retainer but people say nahida is better idk, but overall i need a new healer with decent damage

I personally think yanfei can do a lot of dmg, she's not as clunky as I thought, vaporize works best for her ( in my experience) overall a fun character to play. 😊

going for yanfei cons for the longest time, this is an easy pick for me
I have a c6 yanfei level 90 triple crowned 60/235 crit crimson witch set and tome of the eternal flow at lvl90. Her charge attack vapes are like mini nukes I run her with furina yelan and bennett. She has a hard time hitting flying stuff and her attacks can be a bit janky though. She isn't quite at hu tao levels for vape damage and spammability but she outperforms my hu tao when it comes to aoe.
Ningguang shows mining locations on the map.
Yanfei is the 4 star local specialty detector in Liyue.
For those who may want to consider utility outside of combat if they don't feel they need a character for that purpose.
I think I'm getting Yaoyao for this reason. I'm tired of crabs running away lol. I'm just gonna throw her on a team with Kiara and Nahida so that I have a team made for gathering materials

Have to say Shark, this video is much appreciated. Character recommendations are quite necessary during these Lantern Rites patches. But you went an extra step and even calculated all scenarios of this and that consellations and advised according to that. Really thankful for this video 💌
this is so helpful! i was getting all starry-eyed over gaming just because he’s shiny and new but after watching this i think i’ll go with xingqiu! i don’t have him and i’m seriously lacking in hydro characters in general so he seems like a good pick for me to better round out my roster 😊
This was exactly the situation I was in and to be honest, I'm choosing xingqiu aswel
I typically run Yaoyao(healer) yoimiya or raiden (main dps), Layla (shield/cryo battery) and nahida (dendro battery). Yaoyao is incredibly underrated. Had her since she first launched but didn’t build her until recently to have an additional healer to barb, she’s now replaced barb as my go to healer.
Yup! I tried to get her on Xiao's banner last year (it didnt go well) and ended up with C1 Xiao (who i have neglected untill recently) and no Yaoyao. I chose her as my free 4 star! Do not regret it! I may not use her too much as I have a small range of healers for certain teams, but she is amazing!
as a Yaoyao main I'm glad people are recognizing her capability in teams.

one thing I'll forever yell into the void about is Healguang, or: Ninguang with Prototype Amber and healing bonus circlet.
I use her in my very scuffed Noelle team. And with oceanhued, the extra damage is pretty neat and has helped me in abyss. You don't need to stack hp on her either, since it heals a percentage of max hp of the teammates. it's pretty neat. and a lot of fun.
(the only pain is getting the prototype Amber refinements)

4:45 other teams you can try with chongyun are
- oven (burgeon with fridge mechanic - Chongyun, Thoma, Nahida (prototype amber), & Xingqiu is my recommendation unfortunately you really need nahida for this team to feel really good)
- hyperfridge (hyperbloom with fridge mechanic - Chongyun, Kuki, DMC/Nahida, Xingqiu)
admittedly Chongyun is very replaceable in this team by other most other cryo chars, though if you're using Chongyun that means you really like him as a character and he's actually doing something in these teams
My Ningguang does 80k dmg per jade on her burst, c6 🎉
My favourite teams with her are
-Ningguang, Yelan, Noelle, Kokomi
-Ningguang, Xiangling, Noelle, Bennett
-Ningguang, Yunjin, Yelan, Noelle

Switch kokomi with furina in first team and u dps will skyrocket

What’s great about yaoyao is that she is basically a 5 star in disguise and she is dendro. I say this as a Baizhu player
I also have Baizhu but will pick yaoyao. Since i cant have 2 baizhus for my 2 hyperbloom teams 😅
The only reason she has to be a 4* is because if she's 5*, then Nahida would have to be 6*.
i was conflicted between xingqiu and gaming but ended up choosing gaming because hes literally the cutest patootie and i love him (plus his gameplay is fun)

I can't thank you enough for making this video! I had everyone except Yaoyao and don't have Nahida, the only Dendro characters I have are the traveller and Collei.

I agree with the second part, but I would (and I'm planning to) get him from Paimon Bargains in March. All because I have c0 Beidou at the moment and I need her at c2: one copy from Lantern Rite and second from the shop in February. She was last on a banner in 4.2, so we're not gonna see her any time soon.
So, if you need another character from the selector and it's not going to be on a banner in the near future and you can't get it from the shop, I'd skip Xingqiu and go for that character instead. And got Xingqiu in March.
I like the cold and savage analysis. I love Ninguang and the new geo artifact work well with her, but as you say, not worth it. I will go for the Nahida C1, so I will either go for Gaming or Beidou.
Ningguang *can* do a lot of damage, but she demands a lot of investment. Not only she requires hefty artifact grind, but is also confined to double geo and double pyro, or triple geo with Gorou/Yun Jin and a flex, most likely Bennett or an off-field dps. On top of that, her base attack is so low that it's almost mandatory to use a 5* book on her. So yup, would not recommend her to anyone either, unless they are very willing to commit.
This is so helpful omg! I already have Xingqiu, and I got Ga ming while wishing. I really like pairing those two together and enjoy fighting with them back to back - but desperately needed a healing character to add to my list! I didn't even consider Yaoyao as an option and was debating between Yun jin / Yenfei. I was so close to getting Yun jin - I'm so happy I'm not now

My current thoughts are either YaoYao (since I do not have her) or a Beidou con. Am pulling for Nahida, so it also depends on how my pulling goes and what 4* I get while pulling. (Thankfully, I managed to C6 XQ - my ONLY C6 character right now - when I was pulling for Neuvillette.)
Can i get her i have 50 pulls now or do i need more i have never pulled on any banner specifically for a character i basically just wished as soon as i got to 10 wishes

It depends on your pity and what your last character was (if it was a banner character or standard - meaning are you on a 50/50 or guaranteed). I saved a bunch because I'm on a 50/50 and there's no guarantee, but I'm still hoping I'll get lucky so the rest can back into my savings for the next character I want.
And no worries - that was how I was when I first started, I'd pull on banners not with a plan in mind but just because I needed more characters at first - I only started planning out my wishing later on when I began having a good idea of what sort of teams I'd be building.@@imperialbeast8981

HOLY SHIT WHAT? BEIDOU'S BURST DOESN'T PROC DENDRO CORES?! This changes a lot of things for me then, wow... I can use her in HB without issues then with Kuki
afaik it can hit the cores, but it's unreliable.
Yep, she is good in hyperbloom provided you have a trigger, just don't use her skill next to any cores, of course. XD
...yes I've messed with with her skill and procced cores when Kuki was uh dead in the abyss rip.

Thanks for the advice! Personally, though, I think I'm getting Ningguang. I'm only a month into Genshin, but coming from HSR, I find farming mats to be quite frustrating. So, I think I'll be focusing more on waifu collecting than actually building characters.
Out of them all, I like Ningguang the most. Beidou's in second. Gameplay-wise, Yaoyao would've been the biggest priority since I have at least one copy of Xianqui and Xiangling. However, getting characters I like is a bigger priority for me. Besides, I'm a Navia main so I'll get some value out of Ningguang if I choose to build her.
Check out her skin, then. They are giving away a free 4* skin, I have heard. Her purple dress is prettier than her original one, IMHO.

I agree totally about get the characters you like. I’m at AR 56 and can still get away with this except for occasionally I’ve felt the need to build someone I don’t like as much for their team role or extra damage.
That being said, Ningguang is pretty good especially if you maximize the tricks to play her best, and her constellations are good. Hope this helps!
It's strange how personal experience can affect perception on characters. I've only played a year but I don't like the XL/Bennett combo at all, but that's because I didn't get Bennett until after I had a C2 Nilou/Nahida bloom team (with Yaoyao as the healer, she's great), and XL/Bennett always felt clunky and unintuitive to me. But I got Yanfei really early in game and was my main carry up til I finished Inazuma, so I don't find her clunky to play at all. I have c6 Yaoyao and Xingqui (both great) already, so I'll pick up Gaming since I don't have him.
Have you tried physical xiangling with the cresent pike? Xiangling has the most number of hits with her normal attack, with the pike it doubles. So one na combo hits 14 times. As far as I've seen she is the only character I've ever hit the 30 normal attack limit of yunjins burst with.
@@lordcavalier9688never have, actually, interesting suggestion! I do remember her hitting really fast, early days I pretty much used her that way, I might dust her off and try that, as I do have Yunjin and crescent pike both.
Idk how you find using an elemental burst be clunky but ok?

Xingque FTW..back when I was first starting out, I didn't have a hydro char, and just couldn't pull any copies of any, including Yelan when her banner came around, as my F2P account lost 50/50 to DIpuke, I mean Diluc. I was level 59 (AR 45) before I finally got my 1st copy of Xingque and thought how I ever killed anything without him. He really made killing super fast and with the free copy of Collei from Spiral Abyss, wiping up Inazuma was a breeze, and made Sumeru much more fun. Great information here. I’m probably gonna go Yao Yao or yanfei, bc I know yanfei isn’t the best but she’s one of my fav characters, and I’ve gotten so many qiqis trying to wish for her, but I know Yao Yao is probably best for my team. Why must I have such tough decisions to make 😭
Yanfei clunky? I think she is one of the smoothest catalyst they made before chaaracters like Heizou, Wrio or Neuvillette. Arguiable tithout her c1 she is pretty hard to play and her c4 give a lot of comfort, but after c4 she have a pretty rythmic gamplay with good defensive utility and lowered Stamina needs.
Yup. In fact Klee and Yanfei's got the rarities reversed. Yanfei is the 5* while Klee is a 4*.
@@Sergmanny46 In fact it is true for most 4*. Gamplay wise though I never played with Klee (except the trial), but what I heard she pretty clunky. Yanfei on the otherhand is basicly a lucky coincidence, early catalyst chaaracter can be really terrible to play, khm Ninguang khm, so it is a small miracle how good Yanfei feel to play compered to them.
@@reactiondavant-garde3391 Weirdly enough, Ningguang and Yanfei's gameplay are technically identical. 3 normal attacks followed by a charged attack, and they can both shield themselves should they need it (crystallize, though it's a nice to have since its dmg absorption is laughable). That being said, Ningguang needs a lot more investment than Yanfei to be playable.
@@Sergmanny46 Yeah I know it is really funny, but I think Ninguang have so much problem, her normal attack is buggy, her construct needed but construct have bad mecahnics so a lot of times it is destroyed, hard to aim with her still, she bad numbers and lastly she doesn't have multipicale reaction. Yanfei is basicly better in every way possible beause how well she work and because she is a pyro unit.
And I am sad about Ninguang, because she is so pretty, but it is really annoying to play her.

Honestly i have c1 cook girl and c2 watter boy, will probably go with girl to get closer to c4 (2 contelations is easier to get then 3 when wishing, unless you are beido and shoot for c8 from c2 during it -.-)

HSR really be doing the L + Ratio to Genshin since April 2023.
I have every one of these characters C6ed except Chongyun (C4), Xiangling (C4) Xinyan (C1) and Ga-ming (obviously), so I think I’m gonna get Ga-ming, just for collection reasons, as I won’t be pulling on his banner (got Nahida on her last rerun). Or do you people think I should get Chongyun as I use him as a decent sub DPS on my Ayaka team? Also, I found Yanfei to be extremely useful, especially against world and weekly bosses like Raiden and Mekamouhce. I’ve been using her for ages, and she was C0 for most of that time. Easily my favourite 4 star DPS, and honestly she feels like a better DPS than Yoimiya (Don’t have or want Hu Tao by the way).

It's really wild hearing 'Yanfei's not that great and kinda clunky' when she's been my absolute main damage dealer ever since I got her and probably will remain as such until like...idk...the pyro archon maybe, between her insane damage output, homing attacks that are super helpful, and after playing with my C6 Charlotte, definitely something that makes Yanfei really dang good. Granted I've been told frequently by the folks who got me into Genshin that I'm always 'playing the game wrong' between Yanfei and my C6 Collei being mainstays alongside Furina and Beidou, but meh, if it works it works!
(i'll probably go for xinqiu, i already was planning on it but this definitely got me set in stone there since I'm going for Nahida this next banner)

I do have a question, although not about the 4 stars.
Im torn between pulling for Raiden or Nahida. I do have a Yaoyao and Fishl. and that basically is my entire Dendro and Electro roster. (i do have Kujo Sara on c4 already, but i really dislike playing her...)
I have like 17 Hydro characters including Neuvilette, Ayato, Mona, Candace, Yelan, Xinque (c6), barbara etc etc etc. like Hoyoverse finds it funny to only give me Hydro characters.
So on the current Raiden banner im not really looking for the 4 stars... but i do want Raiden. And for the next Banner, with Nahida, i dont know the 4 stars. So that is more tempting atm... Although i dont think i have many characters that work well with Nahida...
Im also going into surgery and might even miss out on the entire lantern event, as my surgery date is set to 31e and ill basically lose my right arm for a while...
So, any jawsome advice?

To your query: Raiden or Nahida... I'd say Nahida.
Why? Nahida is the only dendro support character you'll ever "need". She unlocks all dendro teams for you unlike anyone else. Nahida has no placeholder. There's no one like her in the game.
Raiden is great, don't get me wrong. I still use Raiden National for the Abyss. But Kuki Shinobu and Fischl are decent off-field electro supports along with Beidou. They're not as good as Raiden, but they're satisfactory placeholders until you can get a Raiden.
If you can afford the wishes - get both Raiden and Nahida. If you can only afford one, Nahida.

Nahida is better than Ei...Raiden needs C2 as well as she doesn't have much f2p weapon options...The catch R5 is an option but getting it requires lot of work...whereas Nahida is the best Dendro in the game...she works with most of teams...She makes abyss feel very easy...Go for Nahida u will definitely enjoy it much more than Ei...☺️ At the end it's all upto you...But in terms of game Nahida Rn is doing much better than Raiden.

About who to choose, its easy tbh, go for nahida. She is the best dendro character in entire game. Once u use her, u dont need any other dendro tbh.
If u have primos for only 1 character out of raiden and nahida then go for nahida. But since both character r good in the end , your account will be good in either of choice .
I would say go for nahida, raiden is good dont get me wrong but tbh raiden is not THAT good at c0 speically hoyo released so many good 5 star character in fontain.
IN THE END , GO FOR NAHIDA, SAVE PRIMOS, THEN IF U DONT HAVE KAZUHA THEN GO FOR HIM, HE WILL SOON GET HIS RESUN.
Nahida n kazuha r both one of those character that r must pick for any account.
I'm so torn. I've been desperate for a pyro DPS and was ecstatic to hear that Gaming would not only be a pryo DPS, but he would be available as a free character to pick up (big bonus that he's also a claymore character if I saw that right???). But I also am nowhere NEAR a good place to use him, best I have is C2 Benny and I doubt I'm getting any more from the current banner LOL. I also likely won't be getting more of Gaming's cons because I'm gonna be saving pulls for Xiao probably (I love my anemo boys and I will not give up playing genshin until they've all come home, meta be dammed) and I don't think he'll be on the same banner. And then comes the issue that I'm also desperate for a dendro healer since I didn't manage to pull Baizhu (didn't manage any 5* off that banner at all) and Yaoyao is right there....... urghhhhhhhHHHHH

She offers physical defence shred. Use millelith set and the inazuma craftable sword she can be a Pyro shield support with almost constant up time that gives you bonus damage to you main dps.

You get tenacity from an artifact domain and the 4 star weapon from a quest in Inazuma(I forgot the name so just Google "how to get 4 star Inazuma claymore" or something along the lines.
Also as a side note if anyone has Yanfei at C3 do yourself a solid and get her to C4 her shield is a major game changer for her.

I've joined the game at August last year and I've seemed to only be getting normal attacking 5*s 😭 (Wanderer, Ayato (although I'm using his as a burst support), Wriothesley and Ayaka) and I've been dying to get a YunJin in my account but I'm gonna have to get Xingqiu here because he's pretty perfect for my account overall since I've got C6Xl and C0Yao and I do plan on pulling Alhaitham which he'd do great with too... I'm praying YunJin is on Nahida's banner to compensate 🙏🏽

I'm gonna choose Ga-ming because my only pyro DPS are Lyney and Klee. Plus i heard his damage is really good too. I've prefarmwd every just about every for level 90 now i just need to wait.
Also, I dont plan to wish until 4.5 when Albedo gets his rerun or 4.6 and beyond for TOTEF/Chlorinde.
4.4 is an easy skip for me.
I'm pulling on Xianyun's banner. If I get Gaming, I'm choosing Yaoyao (currently c3). If I don't get Gaming, I'm choosing Gaming.
I only have three other options: Ningguang (currently c5), Xinyan (currently c5), or 5 starglitter. I don't use Ningguang or Xinyan, so Gaming and Yaoyao are effectively my only choices!
I want to second the Chongyun + Kaeya recommendation. I have used Chongyun/Kazuha/Xingqiu/Kaeya to 36* Spiral Abyss back when freeze was viable, and it's also a really comfortable overworld team. Xingqiu is the party healer. Chongyun's burst has a low cost, so he's an excellent 4pc Noblesse user in a quick swap team.

I already have c6 Xingqiu, c5 Yao Yao (by accident XD) and c2 Beidou, which is pretty nice. My XL is just built for abyss, cuz I don't really like playing her, and she's only c1. So I'm considering picking c1 Yun Jin (she's been locked for too long). I have loved her ever since I've played Shenhe story quest ❤
Prior to that, I already had C6 Fischl, which is my best sub-DPS.
I already finished off all constellations for Beidou and Xingqiu, so I’ll choose Gaming.
However, my Xiangling is currently at C2 on my side account as of now.
Already have my YaoYao at C1, so I’m definitely getting Xingqiu. Gonna try pulling for Nahida too, but I got Raiden on my last pull so chances aren’t high 😅

Mycurrent spyral abyss teams are:
Xiao, Yelan, ---/Xianglin, BennetC5
Nahida, FischlC2, Neuvilette, Kokomi
Yelan and xiao work wonders together because of Yelans Ult and Xiaos quick base attack (both do about 5k per hit so 10k total quick)
With Xinq--? hydro res reduction on enemies and more quick offfield hydro and healing it just sounds wonderful
this was a very confusing choice for me honestly , a lot of people were recommending xingqiu and gaming but i already had them both lol , also i think it would have been a wise choice to go with ninguuang but i didn't feel like it ,others were characters having elements i didn't specifically need i needed a geo character but not ninguuang so i went with yun jin!
tip : choose a character with an element you lack ,for example i only had noelle with geo and had many characters with every other element , or you could go with a character that will be a good support for your dps , for example gaming and xingiu , or if you don't have a dendro character choose yaoyao but i already had nahida so i didn't really feel like choosing yaoyao
also at the end of the day you can always get these all by wishing easily so don't regret your choice too much!
For my account Yaoyao would definitely be the smart move, followed by XQ cons and maybe Beidou cons. However .... I'm picking Yunjin because I like her and want her C6 😆.
Of all of these I have..... a C0 Beidou... that's it. I would love to have Xingqiu buuuuuut as an aspiring Yoimiya main I would absolutely love to get Yun Jin. Ugh I can't decide! Will see what I pull during the event and go from there I suppose.

...and will be pulling for Cloud Retainer, so hoping to get Gaming(s).
