Pete, Need your advice. We have a 2004 Yamaha Viper that refuses to idle properly. Tends to rev high on start up and when riding revs high when coming to a stop. Often have to hold the brake to keep her from getting away on us, she settles down to a normal idle after 30 seconds or so. If we turn the idle down it just stalls eventually. Carbs are squeaky clean. Any ideas? Thanks, Murray from Hanover.
kind of hard to say without actually seeing the sled but if it's idling high I'd be checking the free play in the throttle cable, the choke cable and plungers for proper operation and for air leaks causing a lean condition possibly 🤔 carb boots and crank seals...hope that helps 🍻
Interesting they routed the exhaust that close to the brake rotor. If that is a catalytic converter, that will be super hot and will heat soak the rotor. Can someone comment on this?
Let's see now, so in the last 3-4 years Polaris had a fuel pump problem, a tank problem easily fixed with a piece of metal shielding and some iffy boogie wheels while Skidoo had seized engines, steering that seized by snow, bad breaks and constantly blown belts, Arctic craps burning to a crisp everywhere and the few that didn't had bent skids, pieces falling off everywhere and engines that never ran right, Yamaha has good engines, crappy electrical and sinks out of sight as soon as you turn off the trail. I think I'll stick to the easily fixed problems and choose Polaris. 😉😁

How can I add more horsepower to my 900 ace. Non turbo. Great fn channel
Every mfg has a issue with ethanol based fuel, Only Polaris did a self announced recall. The other brands will be forced to do the same soon enough.
Crazy for the price they want for these wow
I'm like 2 hours from you... not a flake of snow.... Mother nature is tri polar! Cheers from Ontario.
cheers🍻
Awesome video ✌🏻
thanks! 🍻
You should get your self a head mounted camera. It would make your life much easier.
not a bad idea right there! cheers 🍻
I’m a Polaris Guy , and that’s junk !
oil draining don't need that. Lol like the cell phone headset jack , you don't need that. You want it but you don't need it
Interesting they routed the exhaust that close to the brake rotor. If that is a catalytic converter, that will be super hot and will heat soak the rotor. Can someone comment on this?
That was the muffler. An aftermarket one. There's no cats on a 2 stroke snowmobile
Where do I get a "she dangles sticker" my sled needs one! Cause she dangles! Lol
workin on getting them out soon! 🍻
Where can I buy a sick sweatshirt like that
workin on the website and shipping...hopefully have some merch available soon! 🍻
Your a piece of work alright
Remember the old Hyundai Pony's they were loose as a goose and just kept on going and going . Just sayin . Polaris ! wtf ?
Can you work on my sled ? It’s my first snowmobile and the motor just seized yesterday 1999 skidoo formula triple 700
They have been like that for years .
