  • My buddy Remington bought this sled in the summertime for a song but found out afterwards the reason why lol. she was rode hard and put away wet 🤣 let's just say instead of doing regular maintenance to this sled the previous owner decided to just carry on with his life and ride the crap outta this thing instead lmao 🤣. we manage to get her all tuned up and ready to rock this season for him! thanks to ‪@UltimaxBelts‬ for the new belt for this rig! she's gunna Dangle for sure now! thanks for all the support and checking out our website www.rednecks-dirtyhands.com I hope yas enjoy the video! cheers 🍻

    Thanks for the "No Time Lapse" video!!! The previous owner should be banned from owning another sled...that was just either pure laziness or too broke to do maintenance

    I don't know, 5000+ miles without a lick of maintenance will cause any sled to have issues, and to be honest that one isn't all that bad considering. People dig on polaris a lot but in the last 5-6 years (since the axys) I think things have improved considerably.

    • @rednecksdirtyhands
      @rednecksdirtyhands  9 місяців тому +2

      yeah over all the sled isn't in that bad of shape and it was all do to lack of maintenance from the previous owner! she's good to go for another season now 🍻

    I also have an 850 Polaris without electric start and when it is cold it’s like when I was a little kid trying to start a single banger without a decompression value, I have put a foot on the running board, grab the handle with both hands, take a deep breath and give it all I have.

    Hyfax was a trade name like Crescent Wrench. I believe it went through several ownership changes during the snowmobile industry bust in the late 70s or early 80s and eventually use was discontinued due to a trademark dispute.

    People often overlook dirve axle and jackshaft bearings, I had a drive axle bearing let go on the lake one time and had to walk home. Luckily I was only about 1/4 mile from the road. I used the crazy carpet under the track trick to tow it off.

    Quality Control isn't actually too bad with Polaris. They have a bad habit of sourcing cheap parts that fail quickly. Coupled with using parts that are underrated for the loads required. Unless you drive like your grandma, you're going to be broke down all the time.
