80% of Range Rovers are still on the road today, the other 20% made it home. I don't care how unreliable they are, if I had that kind of money I would lease one with the best warranty money can buy.
That's why I loved Sewell BMW. Whenever my 750 was in the shop, they always asked if I wanted a loaner car. They even loaned me a brand new 750 and I loved it. The msrp was above $100,000 on it.
Not sure how I feel about the new sport. The sides still look like the old, with the Velar rear end, Evoque head lights, and the full size front bumper.
You may think the styling changes aren't dramatic, but always keep in mind that maintaining subtle changes also add to increased value for previously purchase vehicles.
In previous generations i normally preferred the look of the sport but this generation i prefer the full size model…. The full size looks more futuristic
I have the 2020 P525 with the old super charged engine, my wife has the 2021 BMW X5 M50i with this engine. The old engine sounds better but this engine is better for sure. The RRS looks the beans, its best looking SUV sold IMO. Great job as always guys. I will get this new one in a year or so when they make this engine not in the first edition.
They need to do an update on these new Range Rovers to see if reliability improved. I would love for these to be more reliable. They’d be awesome to buy in 10 years when they become more affordable.

Imagine how comfortable it would be if you swapped the 20/21/22 inch rims for 17s or 18s whatever the smallest possible diameter rims would be and equipped some much larger sidewall non run flat tires. Also even quieter if you specced the sunroof delete option.
it actually would not! My 20" wheels are more comfortable than the 18 winters. All comes down to the specific tire and the stiffer it gets the more side wall it has.
@@colbycarithers well bro 20s are 245/35 you can't compare that to the Range Rover with 285/40 tires haha. Ofc run flats are a bit harder and the difference in comfort to 245/40 is huge
I'm a wholesale Car broker. I literally buy cars on auction for a living and give them to dealers. (I'm a broker for a group of new dealerships) we have range rover, BMW, lexus, Ford, Hyundai, Honda, jeep etc, 22 stores. I know my stuff about cars okay. Here's an example from today at our Land Rover Store: someone wanted to trade in a 2019 Range Rover Sport V8 Dynamic with 36,000km and we put retail at $82,500 CAD and offered $56,490 because it needed a new sun roof(big scratch) for $10,000, new tail light for $4000, paint work for $2,500 safety, and brakes came to $4,000 tires were OK. But on the other hand, someone bought a 2023 Range Rover Sport and traded it in for a 2023 Range Rover full size and we paid what the customer paid. Easy rule of thumb in my opinion is $5-10000 depreciation a year makes sense. The low ball offers is because people don't take care of their shit - especially luxury car owners. People trade in brand new Porsches for new BMW's and the car has 10,000km and its curbed, dog chewed, bent, dinged, scratched up, brakes worn down. VS someone who trades in their Toyota they take care of it and it's mint. RANGE ROVERS ARE AMAZING your mad if you can't afford a nice new one
And also margins. If I a dealer can sell a Honda CRV in 5 days yeah they don't mind making $500. But if it takes a dealer 200 days to sell a Range Rover, they better be making $7,000. That's also why luxury cars "depciate" faster

I had a 2022 Range Rover P400 but sold it for the flip then got the sport but for 15k more the full size is the way to go in my opinion.
Current range rover sport owner here. 2018 facelift V8 supercharged. We drove the new body style a couple weeks ago. Thoroughly unimpressed. Admittedly, it was a six cylinder. However, it’s seriously lacking in specialness. Doesn’t have the range rover driving position, and pretty much felt like a limited Ford explorer. Sad. I was there to buy.
I'm truly surprised that no one cares or talks about its fuel economy (V8) in a day and age when fuel efficiency is paramount. I get that few people buy it or can afford to buy it, but still. (Love my 2.0 turbo.)
Its an N63 BMW engine tho, it can put over 600+ on a stage 1. Funny thing is it competes against an XM5 which uses the S63 better version of the same engine.
I use the fridge. Keep water in there. Very handy. But the larger point is that the Range Rover Sport is just an amazing vehicle, maybe the perfect vehicle. And I have owned most of the premium vehicles.
Ah, then spotting that Defender in the background at the Jag/Land Rover dealership wasn't getting me excited for no reason. Look forward to that review.
Great video, but I'm very disappointed they went to a turbocharged engine. I love the roar of their supercharged V8s. I'll be keeping my tuned V8 for quite a bit longer. Very nice upgrades to the interior though.
I love it but the price has gone up so much I’m not sure I can justify it over a BMW X5 M50i. Presumably if you want/need the HP you probably prefer a vehicle built to use it vs a plush ride. Beautiful none the less!
Its not great, but what are you comparing it to? Land Rovers are luxury, but they're also true off-road capable. The BMW can't do that. Always compare apple to apples.
How are you two older then me and lived through the 90s/00s/10s with flat grey and flat black plastic and you hate the gloss black? Gloss black looks 10x better than if they did the whole dash in the same material like in the 90s
Every one I know that owned a Range Rover always has the same result. They sold it because they were tired of paying for all the expensive repairs. They all swore they would never buy one again. I love their designs, relish them really, but I would never buy one based on what I know about their repair and maintenance costs. I just wonder why the brand can't make a more reliable rig. The technology is out there and other makes have really luxurious products that won't break the bank. RR/Jaguar needs to focus on this issue!
Having owned top of the line Benzes and BImmers (12 cyl, Ms) and Land Rovers, I can tell you from personal experience, not hearsay, that the German cars are AT LEAST as expensive to repair.
I didn't hear a range rover will be a sports car but the car is so beautiful and awesome I've heard the meridian sound before huge sound systems sound is so soft I like that one however wheels are awesome
Range/Land Rovers are great, until they break. Seriously, I like these cars a lot, I'd own one in a heartbeat if they weren't such a pile of crap in terms of weird and funky problems. So yeah, they're great until warranty runs out.
Paint??? SVO paints are the definition of british exquisity, the bmw x5m individual paint choices are pretty narrowed. Handling might be the only point to give to the bmw haha
The only assumption likely to be true is about handling, but there will be a price to pay for it: the smooth, sweet, stable ride of the Range Rover. How do most of us drive most of the time? Are we thrashing around huge SUVs? Doesn't even make sense. Buy a Ferrari if you want that. I want (as do most people, I think) smooth, controlled power and stability that isn't beating you up on the crap roads in every city on the planet.

Range/Land Rovers are great, until they break. Seriously, I like these cars a lot, I'd own one in a heartbeat if they weren't such a pile of crap in terms of weird and funky problems. So yeah, they're great until warranty runs out.
I like the V8, the design is errr not sure still would take this over MB or BMW
if i have the money ofc
Looks pretty good but I’d take an X5M for that price. Paint, handling, resale, interior quality are likely to be superior on the bimmer.
That RRS sport interior looked very nice. See the video "Why You Should Never buy a BMW X5M" on YT. Be careful of assumptions, do your research.
Paint??? SVO paints are the definition of british exquisity, the bmw x5m individual paint choices are pretty narrowed.
Handling might be the only point to give to the bmw haha
You are very wrong, the interior is beautiful on these, and the paint is also nicer.
The intro song was dirty 🔥
And if you're in the Pacific NW, you could go see my cousin Sal at Jaguar Land Rover of Portland. :D
This car is so beautiful if only JLR could focus on the reliability of their vehicles
slick outro. gotta avoid them lawsuits
Good thing it's fast I wouldn't want to be caught dead in it.
that fridge is essential to us in the middle east
Maybe the Range Rover Sport SVR will come with the M5/M8/X6M/X5M/M5 CS V8 or the 5.0L Jaguar V8 Supercharged...
Trying to decide if I should get one, but have reservations because I have heard very unreliable 🤷🏾♂️
