I'm 63 and whenever I listen to his music, I'm 19 again and again. Keep singing and I'll be 19.😎
Exactly! ....

@@SuperDomi56 good I.
You are not alone...I´m 63 too..and still listening this wonderful musician...
I love Jackson Browne his music has comforted me through the ups and downs for the last 50years
Fifty years. Isn’t that amazing. He speaks for many of us
Same, would never have it any other way!!
Me too.
I would add, that in addition to his music comforting me through the ups and downs of the last, for me, 40 years, he has comforted me during these long months of the pandemic. He has reminded me of better times and has encouraged me to not loose hope and "Hold On." Music is a blessing. Grateful for JB.
Yep....
I can’t list everything that’s great about this. His voice, expression, tuning, unbelievable tempo, simple plaintiff piano, heartbreaking lyrics, beautiful poetry, melody line whic is easy to follow, perfect song construction. And the most important, we get to spend a personal moment with the legendary Jackson Browne.
so well put!
Tears come nearly every time I hear this beautiful song. JB’s ability to bring such emotion continues to astound me.
The most beautiful song about finished love . Heard for the first time in the 70s at the age of 17, still makes me cry. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all your wonderful music, Jackson. I hope to see you in Italy again, sooner or later. God bless you.
Me too Claudio, through the good times and the bad. Love you Jackson.🙂
I can never hear this without crying, and deeply feeling the pain. I love him.
@@cici7333 Hi cc I met him in Edinburgh in the noughties when I went to see him at the Playhouse. Afterwards a small crowd waited to meet him at the stage door and he signed my Late for the Sky lyric sheet that I had kept safe since the seventies and I also had a chat with him. Such a gorgeous moment.😀
Same here!
Jackson is still one of the greatest Ballard song writer ever. Still puts on the best show live, hopefully we can see him soon again.
I'm 74 now and I still get chills when I hear this song. Thanx for some of the best music ever. Makes me wish my wife hadn't thrown away all my albums.
Threw away your albums?
Makes me glad I never married.
Still got my albums and my guitar
@@mgmassey174 You're lucky and wise. The only thing that is left that I brought to the marriage is my guitars and my accordion. I've seen Jackson several times in Tulsa and at the No Nukes show in a field with another guitar hero, Bonnie Raitt.
@@Randolini well at least you got your guitars etc. Having a wee bit of French I'm me...I love accordions even subscribe to an accordions music chan.
I'm not wise brother .just had an early education to overcome.
Now I care for my son and am grateful for vertical
Bless u bro
There's still time to get a divorce! Throwing out someone's albums is unforgivable and I have a feeling it doesn't stop there.
@@James-qs7rk true that.
Even greater truth..,.."marry in haste"
Etc
I've always known the whole "free love" etc social engineering ruined us Baby boomers as to responsible
Non dysfunctional relationships.
My grandmother was right
Enough said.
I'd rather have my broken Takemine than a broken heart
Many years ago, my mom committed suicide when I was just a teenager. I played this song over and over again to help me deal with my emotions of grief, regret, loss, and bewilderment. Thank you Jackson Browne, and God bless you.
Thank goodness you had this song to connect you to your feelings and hold you. Music is such a powerful vehicle.
Sorry 😞
I'm so sorry Greg...My Dad took his life when I was four...I too played these songs over and over in later years trying to deal with stuff that happened back then....These songs brought tears while I sang along, but were extremely theraputic, as they are today....
So sorry to hear about your Mom mine died from Breast cancer, bone cancer, and 5 brain tumours when I was 19. Heartbreaking. We are strong survivors. Thanks for your beautiful songs Sir Jackson Brown
Both of my parents are gone. I was only 28. Stay strong
This is the best love song ever written. It’s devastating.
I'm at a loss why 19 people gave it a thumbs down...

48 yrs ago I sat on the balcony of my home in California and listened to some crazy kid playing piano just 3 doors(houses) from mine and he had been playing all morning not complete songs but enough to where I could tell whoever it was that he was a good musician. I was going to do that many times but didn't - then that day I got balls and I reached into the cooler sitting next to me, grabbed a beer and was going to walk down to that house and tell them how good their playing was . They were only 3 houses down and the music from that piano was crystal clear. Then I heard that song "Late For the Sky" for the very first time. I stood in the doorway listening to the entire song before walking down to meet whoever was playing that beautiful song. All the houses in my neighbor hood at the time had dog eared cedar wood fences around our back yards except for the house I was walking to . They had an iron type fence very easy to see through. and as I walked up to the gate this long haired guy who was playing the piano stopped and he saw me standing there at the gate and he just waved me in and went right back to playing his next song .. I walked up beside the piano and he stopped and I reached out my hand to introduce myself and the two of us shook hands and ai told him I had been listening to him play all morning, I asked him his name and he said
Jackson. I said, "No what is your first name?" and he replied, "Jackson"
Amazing!
Bellissimo racconto...darei un dollaro d'oro di quelli cuciti all'interno del cappotto, alla maniera di Mark Twain, per essere stato al tuo posto! Beautiful tale...I would give a gold dollar of those sewn inside the coat, in the manner of Mark Twain, for being in your place!
For 40+ years I have be moved to tears by his artistry. Thank you for this rendition.

Jackson Browne, we love you more than you could ever know. You’ve inspired generations of musicians & listeners with your meaningful (always) lyrics, your guitar & piano, your voice. I’ll never forget your acoustic version of “Redemption Song” at the Rock Hall opening back in ‘95. And of course, I’ll always love your own originals forever. Thank you for being who you are.
JB always has helped me through my sorrow and sadness...my heart hurts... then releases.. Thanks for all the help through the years JB
Don't forget that brilliant car door shutting, which ends the dream. He can then just roll away. Yeah, Jackson is absolutely the greatest poet of my lifetime. One of the best men, too.
Bought my first Jackson Browne album in HS in 1971. Been listening and loving his songs ever since. How many singer/songwriters of today (or any era) will have a fifty year career? Bless you brother!

Started listening to Jackson in 1972.....still impresses the hell out of me everytime I hear him......a National Treasure....
This song has touched so many peoples hearts.. including mine. I've been a fan since I was a young girl. My sister had all of Jackson Browne's albums and played them over and over again. When I was 16 she took me to see him live in Santa Fe, NM at a NO Nks concert with Joe Walsh. My best friend had just been hit and killed by a drunk driver the year before and I was already suicidal, having suffered child abuse in all it's horrible forms by my parents and an older brother. I was suicidal from 10 and after my friend was killed, I couldn't find any reason to keep going. Jackson, your voice has helped so many of us... so many.. thank you for your beautiful words, melodies, song crafting genius and pure joy of music that matters. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤
Thank You so much Jacksonfor the tears, smilesand Love 💗

Title track to the greatest album of all time.
This song brings tears to my eyes 50 years later! It is such a masterpiece and one I will play forever whether alive or dead!!
I was 17 (now 63). I was in high school and I was in full adolescence crisis. After dinner at 8 in the evening I went to my room, turned off the light, lit a cigarette and the radio and waited for 9: first there was SUPERSONIC that sent beautiful music but a little "commercial" if you can say so of pieces still incredible. Then Massarini arrived with POPOFF and the night began: with him I discovered Jackson Browne, DESPERADO's Eagles and countless others. It was a real journey into the night: I was out of my room traveling around the world. I still have the chills in the memory of those years. I try to relive them by learning to play and sing those pieces: it is a palliative but it is good for me even if I am late for the sky. Thanks Jackson!
Love this guy...

One of the greats.
When I was 15 years old (in 1976), I found a record album under my 17 year old brother's bed. I had plain blue album cover. It was a collection of "B Sides" that record companies sent off as promos to record stores. One of the songs had an odd title, "Fountain of Sorrow", by a musician I'd never heard of, Jackson Browne. I played that song about a million times, and my further investigation of Mr. Browne's music forever changed my life. His music inspired me to learn guitar and explore music, and his music got me through many, many sad times, with plenty of tears spent along the way. But the tears I shed, due to lost love, was always comforted by JB's lyrics and emotional music.
One of the best singer songwriters of our generation
