Not a good choice to use the air chisel to remove the bushing - you just damaged the housing for the bushing. Pressing the bushing out is the safer, less destructive method. Also the axle doesn't need to be removed. Watch Mr Subaru. He goes thru the same procedure and shows how to correctly line up the bushing in the control arm without marking / damaging the control arm.
no need to take the driveshaft off and cut the big bush with a hacksaw just enough to cut through the steel ring then just hit it with a hammer and it falls out rather than batter the arm with an air chisel , butcher at work lol

Why didn’t you press the old bush out
Thank you, I don't know what I'd do without UA-cam University
Hi, is it better to change the whole control arm plus the ball joint instead of just the bushings?
Located behind the rear wheel?
Would this similarly apply to a gen 3 Impreza? I have a 09 impreza

Does it stick out further to the top or the bottom?
You have links for everything but the bushings, and their site doesn't show any bushings, only the control arms with the bushings included. LL : )
Well, that's pretty much how NOT to remove a bushing from a control arm.
