    Snaps on those flaps would secure the pockets if it was used for a little project bag.
    Very easy to follow instructions. Thanks

    I've just finished making this, and it's absolutely stunning. I took me a lot longer because I made a mistake when doing the "paper bag" effect. I sewed up the corners in the wrong direction. I added beads to the draw string ribbon and it looks adorable. Thank you so much for such clear and precise instructions. It was easy to follow you, once again, thank you so much. Cheers Yasmin

    Had a go at this myself and it came out really well. My only problem was that I managed to pucker the inner fabric when making the boxed corners. This only became clear when you turn the bag inside out. I did it again (twice) to get it nice and even. Many thanks for the tutorial, I will be making some more as gifts.

    I made the bag and it looks great.. Had a problem finding the correct size cording, I ended up with hildie & Jo from Joanna fabrics. What type of cording did you use on your bag?
    Thank you for a great video easy to follow. Also, thank you to the person who suggested 3" instead of 6 so the bag closes better.

    Fascinating design! When you hand stitch the last diagonal seams, do you go through both layers? If so, could you free-arm this?
    I would be interested to know where to embroider the fabric (at the start), so the design is visible from the front of the finished bag; where it would show either on the pocket flaps or on the body of the bag. Thanks.

    I love this little bag and your instructions are clear to me, except for one thing. When I boxed the bottom corners of my bag, was I supposed to catch the loose point in that seam? I mean the point that is on the outside surface of the bottom when it is turned right side out when finished. I couldn't see yours in the video.

    My second time watching this video. If I want to make a larger bag from this video, would I just increase to whatever size I think I would use or are the amounts of increase done in a specific manner (by one - two, or more at a time to get accurate sides)? Thank you for any help you can provide. Love to watch your videos.

    I love this and am wondering how to work out the math to make it larger so the pockets come out correctly.

    • @daxafer
      @daxafer 7 років тому +2

      nrdy grl when she drew the lines "a bit less than 4 inches" on either side of the point, she was dividing the folded edge into three equal pieces.
      So, use whatever size square you like, Fold the square in half (in a triangle) and measure the long side of the triangle. Divide this measurement into three equal pieces. (So, if you have a 30" fold, mark and sew 10" from each corner, your two lines of stitching will be 5" on either side of the centre.)
      If you make a bigger bag, you should also sew the "paper bag corners" a bit bigger ..... Maybe 1-1/2 inches from the point.

    • @n3rdygrl
      @n3rdygrl 7 років тому

      Sarah C McCarthy just under 4 inches from the center of a 17 inch square is not thirds. it's closer to dividing in 4ths.
