I really love the design of the bag. It looks like a great size and would be perfect for traveling. I think that when I make one I might add a double pull zipper for the main compartment so it can zip in either direction. I think they would make great gifts and you can personalize by using fabric the recipient would love. Thanks for another great tutorial!
Love this video. I liked that it was done live for the most part but not all in a rush. I like seeing how each part is tackled not just all completed off camera. You learn so much from watching how to manage all of those layers. I have made enough bags to know that is a struggle but my bags have not nearly as complicated, but they did have piping and binding, so it was nice to see how to tackle those particular steps. I appreciate Jessica’s style of teaching…..I know this video was longer but I so appreciated that she did not rush through things. This bag has a lot of steps and you cannot short-cut any of the steps. To get a professional looking bag, you have to do all of the steps. Great video! Thanks Jenny for providing such a great teaching video!
I have been using Sallie Tomatoes zippers, cork and hardware for a few years now. Love her stuff. Glad to see that you have added her products! Love this bag! Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you so much for commenting and watching! We love collaborating with MSQC and we thank you for supporting them and Sallie Tomato. -from Jess and the Sallie Tomato Team! :)
Gosh I wish I’d seen this video when it was first put on UA-cam 🤷♀️ I definitely would have made one to use when I go to Festival of Quilts next week 🤩 I will be hoping making one soon as it looks really useful 👍 Thank you for doing all the hard work so we can see what to do 👏👏🇬🇧
Love this, and Jenny’s comment about sewing your fingers. I worked in a clothing factory and the “lore” was, you weren’t a machinist until you’d gad the needle through your finger 3 times 😮 I’m definitely a machinist, I now use a stiletto 🤣
I love both of these gals.! Great work Jess. I would love to make it. I watched the entire tutorial first. Now, I need to get my supplies. I hope to see another tutorial in the future with you and Jenny. 🥰
@@SallieTomatoI have a pattern question. I looked to see if there were pattern corrections on the website, but found none. I discovered the cutting size for fabric piece B zipper gusset is 1” longer than the foam piece B when I started basting my pieces. Is it supposed to be a different length?
I have an input. Jenny said that she would dump it out (on the sample) and it ended up doing just that. So I think a person should keep that in mind. Also on the back picked I would have the zipper upside down so gravity won't unzip it and chance losing stuff.
Love the design of the bag and ordered it the same day that the video came out. It still has not been mailed from the warehouse. It makes it a bit hard to order from Missouri Star when other companies offer faster shipping of orders. Ordered June 1, charged to my account June 2, processed from Warehouse on June 9th!. FedEx says I will receive it on June 17th
I dkn't under stand why the video instructions are not the same as package! So frustrating! Where does it say what size to cut zippers in instructions? It doesn't. She states in video sew 1/2 " but instructions say 1/4". Missing info is not helpful to us novices.
This “tutorial” is woefully incomplete. Complete assembly of the front and back is missing! Edited out? Almost worthless! There was another by a different bag maker that was wonderful. But it’s been deleted! This one doesn’t work!
Yea for Sallie Tomato and Missouri Star Co.👏👏👏. Loved having almost the entire bag making live👍
Thank you so much for commenting! We are so glad you enjoyed the video and new the new bag!:)

Thanks Jenny both of you are awesome. I have a bag that was given to me and I would like to duplicate it and this tutor will help me.
Thank you for watching! :)
Where can I find a downlodable pattern?
I’ve only done it twice! 😮
The pattern already sold out. Will there be a pdf available?
Where can I get the pattern for this?
You should include 2 more zipper pulls so you could have 2 way zippers on the 2 front zippers.
I was wondering if that would work?!
Don’t we all have a bff named seam unsewer! 😂
I bought the kit, it looks adorable. Is Jenny in all the tutorials or just this one since it’s named after her?
Thank you so much for purchasing the kit and watching the video! We hope you have sew much fun making the Jenny Bag!

The pattern is unavailable. Will it ever become available again?
It should be available now! Check it out here: www.missouriquiltco.com/products/jenny-crossbody-bag-kit-black-faux-waxed-canvas?variant=40045787643939
Sos can't get the zipper pull on the zip.
I agree. And the kit I bought does NOT have the hardware shown on picture when I ordered
The ladies mic doesn’t work it’s really hard to hear her

I know. Trying to make this has been so stressful.
