Of all the many videos I've watched for this type of project, yours is by far my very favorite! Being an OCD person myself, I love how detailed your instructions are. Thank you very much for posting this and I am so grateful to have found you. I am now making these bags in all sizes for my sisters and myself and you have become my new best friend! Edit: Two yrs later since I 'found' you and I'm still making these little bags. I originally made 2 for each of my sisters (glasses and makeup cases) and now I'm making for my daughter and grandchildren to store their cross stitch supplies in. These are just the most wonderful little gifts and I am so grateful that you took the time to share your talents with us.

Thankyou for a no nonsense, well planned demo. I've watched several others that have driven me up the wall with the drivel they talk, the verbal errors, poor planning, all so totally amateurish. You have given a clear, concise demo, that is so refreshing to watch. THANKYOU. Lynne (Scotland)

You are such a talented teacher i am lot for words. For a while now I thought about making little sewing projects on my own, but always lacked the knowledge and, more importantly, the courage to start, but your tutorials make sewing seem much less scary than I always thought it to be! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of sewing with us.

I made the bag and love it! In order for it to close properly, I turned the tape the other way. Now it snaps shut and makes a fun crinkly noise. Love the videos......

Made a couple of these tonight. I prefer your tutorial to the Riley Blake one. Your casing is better. Once I figured out which tape measure worked best (the narrower weaker one rather than the super strong wider one) I was happy with the result. I can see myself making more of these.

Your directions are so clear. If you can find METAL blinds you will have an almost endless source of "snaps" They work just great .I tried the plastic mini blinds but they didn't have enough snap.

I have watched several of your tutorials and enjoy them all very much - thanks so much!!!! For the mini snap bag, I stitched across the center mark of the bag (through all thicknesses) - from one long side to the other. This stitching line will be on the bottom of the bag. That stitching line helps to keep the fabric and batting together when you fold the bag right sides together and when you box the bottom. I look forward to watching more tutorials. They are very clear and inspirational.

Thanks Susan Claire for a great tutorial. I've just made two of these for Christmas gifts - one a mini snap bag to go with one of your zipper pouches in the same fabric. The second is a glasses case - that wasn't so easy to turn right side out but I got there. My metal tape snappers are fine but next time I might follow a poster's suggestion to double up. Also I overlocked/serged the side seams rather than zigzag.

Way cheaper and much faster. I am so pleased you shared your clever idea. I look forwardbtonatching morenof your videos. Dewey in Texas

Brilliant! Seriously - I'm going to stop on the way home for some sacrificial tape measures and make a bunch of these this weekend. It's just the season for little gifts and for charity craft sales and such. I think I'll make some longer ones as eyeglass holders and some just the size to hold a gift card. You are such fun to watch and clever!!! And what a great way to use some really fun novelties fabrics!
