Motive: Paul was liability to Alex due to the boat wreck and could have wiped out Alex’s estate. His wife was going to leave Alex and he found out. He killed Paul and then his wife out of latent anger for her. Both would have cost him greatly.

His estate was already wiped out by debt and there is zero evidence his wife was going to leave him

Joel, I lost my two precious for babies this year, so I like to hear about the dogs. I will be 81 on September 11, so I am planning on getting a new fur baby. I’ve been very lonely without my little guys.they were my family, and then everything to me. Losing them has been a real heartache, and I don’t think I will ever get over missing them.

10:18 My Dude, He’s NOT APPEALING the Financial Crimes!!!! He’s appealing THE LENGTH OF THE SENTENCE of the Financial Crimes. I think he got The Max, and they felt they had made a deal for a shorter sentence (or something like that). They’re appealing The Length of Sentence, & not appealing The Conviction Itself

No matter what you think of Alex murdaugh he deserves a fair trial. We must defend the most fundamental of rights for the most reprehensible of people because, we are defending our own rights.

Murdaugh literally thought noone would suspect him. In fact, he did exactly as we all suspected.

Anybody that followed the Murdaugh trial and think he is not guilty….DEFINITELY NEEDS TO RETHINK THEMSELVES….I have never saw someone so guilty. HY IS ONE HUNDRED PRESENT GUILTY.

After the trial was over, the judge said there was evidence of guilt.

I watched the trial and I saw zero evidence he killed his wife and son and actually thought the forensic evidence and the phone data proved him factually innocent. The trial proved him guilty of financial crimes that’s all

I am surprised that none of these exceptional women haven’t noted the possible motive for the appeals is to some how finagle access to whatever financials might be out there for the attorneys. He is a compulsive risk taker.

Dick especially looked ridiculous up there, and should have been disbarred for aiming the gun and saying "if only". Jim was no better. He looked silly.

Call me old-fashioned but we talk about kids tied to phones but it is rude to be on a panel and constantly checking phones. Can't anyone be in the moment anymore and pay attention ?

No, phones are More Important than people. Just watch people getting arrested, and they try to pry the phones out of the hands of suspects. They are MORE concerned about losing their phone than getting arrested.

I thought the Federal plea deal was canceled by the Feds as they said he lied so how can they say he can’t appeal due to the plea deal

    • @Lawyersdaughter
      @Lawyersdaughter 2 місяці тому

Apparently AM failed lie detector test which was part of fed agreement, probably failed by not disclosing location of “missing funds” and not revealing/confirming others involved in financial scheme. AM’s lies (shocker) nullified deal with Feds so they stuck it to him w/ 40yr sentence vs standard 30yr max (which is unusual), and so he’s appealing due to punitive nature of those extra 10yrs🙄
      The saga continues…

How many jurors said that they heard Becky say what this juror stated?
The phrases were said by the lawyers on both sides of the trial. Could the juror be confused?
Could the juror been offered some incentive to say what she said?
While I liked Justice Toal I thought she was hard on Becky
