Does it get better than the magnificent Stevie Wonder? I don’t think anyone is better. Some come close. But, he’s got melodies, hooks, musicality, soul, funk, skill, lyrics, jazz, Latin, passion, textures, everything.
Well stated! Saw him do Fingertips on American Bandstand. Little Stevie Wonder was only 2 years older than me. He went to the Michigan School for the blind with my neighbor. Hail Stevie!! That little girl, so long ago is still in awe.
Thank you for this. I love Stevie and believe he is a very spiritual person. That comes through in his music. He started with Motown when he was 11. By 14, he was writing sons for people such as Aretha Franklin. We are blessed to have Stevie with us and should appreciate every day all the great music he has given us. Great reaction. 👏👏❤️🇨🇦
Great Reaction, Skeeez. Stevie is the man and elevators have raised braille lettering under the buttons for the floors and other things so blind folks can ride in elevators alone. Next Stevie for you should be the more gritty, Living for the City and Superstition. They are bangers!
Ofc this would sound familiar to Sceez lol. I would find it difficult for anyone black to have not had anyone play this song around you. I’m Nigerian, and even back home I had heard this song A LOT, growing up so I would assume even more so in America 😅
"As" is the fifth single from Stevie's 1976 album Songs in the Key of Life. It peaked at #36 on the Hot 100 and the Billboard Black Singles chart. Growing up in the 90s I heard George Michael & Mary J. Blige's version quite a bit.
Stevie probably used the brail writings on the elevator. I saw him in an interview when he was young and his eyes weren't covered by glasses. He's definitely blind I believe.. Great artist. Loved your reaction ❤
I met him years ago and he definitely is blind. I asked for his autograph and he joked and asked me if I wanted him to sign with braille dots (He did get someone to help him sign the regular way). 😂
Hey Sceez man thanks for this!!! What a talent. Man. No words. But you keep going my brother. Love the knowledge and the humor and positive attitude man, Cheers...❤
Yes, Stevie Wonder can not see. However, he CAN sing, play keyboards, the harmonica, and more. For another side of him, watch music video of Ebony and Ivory, a duet with Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney. Title refers to black and white keys on a piano.
♥ my favorite song of all time. Legally blind doesn't mean you cannot see anything, most can see shadows and such

The 🐐
Stevie is the greatest songwriter of all time. He is his own universe. Touched by God. ❤
Your life needs Stevie. Listen to more.
This song is so beautiful, and his voice and expression are nothing short of magnificent.
One of the greatest love songs ever written....

Saw Stevie when he was 12 at the Motown Review in Detroit. That's how talented he was.
No. He is blind.
Yet, he sees more truth and wisdom than millions of eyes.

"Now ain't that lovin'you?"
Enough said!
Good one Sceez.
When He Repeats All The Ways, That Is My FAVORITE Lyric....Thought I Was The Only One 😂 Oh And " I've Got To Say Always" Right After.

It always enriches my soul to see younger people checking out music my mom put me on to....

That is what love should feel like.
My favorite song by him. The Whole album is awesome. Definitely in my top 3 faves if all time.
Mary J & George Micheals did a remake of this
If you ever saw the movie "Best Man," it's in the opening college scene with Taye Diggs character.
George Michael and Mary J. Blige did a version of this several years ago. That may be where you know it from 😊
❤
He can see and hear things we can’t
Then you all need to listen to In Love in need of Love Today by Stevie Wonder on that same album

Stevie Wonder had a strange career. In the 1970's he released three all time great albums in a row, then in the 80's things went to shit.
