Hey man, can you make a three hour long video of every reactor saying "Is that Vin Diesel?" when watching Saving Private Ryan? I swear even the most obscure channels say those exact words every time.
When you get all these reactors together you notice things. Some of them just seem to be reacting just for the sake of reacting, and others genuinely react. Half of the people here didn't even realize that Carter told Lee to "do as I do".
That's why I'm pretty selective as to which reactors I'll watch. Some reactors are fairly lowkey and that's fine but there are also many reactors that are performative much more than genuine. They tend to get more performative when they attain a high subscriber count. It's like they've switched to a personal brand performance rather than an average joe first time movie watcher. Only a few stay genuine.
Truth be told, my family never used that word... it doesn't even sound right coming out of my mouth. I said it once as a teen and I felt like a sweet little old lady cursing for the first time.
I don't know why people think it's this sudden thing that some people can't say some words. Maybe learn about history and taboo words. It's been a thing since humans existed.
This is the example of the fish out of water comedy where Jackie's character is in another place where he doesn't understand the language or how things works that's how fish out of water comedy works you put a character in place or time who doesn't know how things work or the language and he or she gets into trouble through not understanding the rules or the world they are in.
Dude, why did you put your own reaction in the corner of the video? I saw you by accident, at first I thought you were part of one of the reactors. But like, the camera is so small, you don't do or say anything. I just don't understand the purpose.
The joke and bit are funny until you learn that Bret Ratner, the director of the, film purposefully mislead Jackie Chan while directing the scene as Jackie was not familiar with the English lines. Jackie later went back to ask Ratner what it was that he was saying that elicited such a strong response from the bar men so as to make them want to fight. Upon the revelation that the word was such an oppressive word Jackie became disgusted and enraged warning that he never be misled into saying such filthy things like that ever again. I worry that the director didn't end up doing the same thing for the scenes in RH2 where Lee is telling Carter about what "Dirty movies" he likes to watch.
I have a suggestion for a compilation i think would be really funny! The chainsaw scene from Tucker and Dale vs Evil. If you see the reaction by the Blind Wave channel, you'll see why 😂 One of the funniest scenes of all time
Context! For those who ONLY take things literally and don't pay attention to the storyline in that movie, Jackie isn't insulting anyone ( in his own mind ). Of course, it's insulting for those in the bar, which makes it all the more funny mixed + great entertainment with the action involved. Context, context, context! ( And a sense of humor, to those who don't get irony and juxtaposition. FFS. LoL. ) Younger generations have been seriously brainwashed to not laugh at this scene, because "it's wrong to use the n-word". DUH! If you get it, and it's just not funny to you, that's one thing, but if you do think it's funny and convince yourself not to laugh, then that's pathetic. Laugh away! You're not being a r@cist, if you do, as long as you truly do not harbor such bigotry in your heart. One can actually enjoy this scene while not being a r@cist. ( Woke politics propaganda has intimidated people into losing their minds and senses of humor. )
