    I was figuring out how to do this on my own earlier today--planning how i could do it in my head, but here you are, with videos for the exact thing I would have had to learn on my own!! it's like fate XD THANK YOU

    Excellent tutorial. Well worth the effort especially when the hair is only offered in wefts.Thanks!

      Vanessa Elm Well if the hair is VERY long then it won't be a problem, you can cut the hair and then fold it and still have long enough hair to work, but if the weft is like 18 inches and you cut it, then folding it will make it too short for n average length wig.

      Thanks for commenting, I am doing this cause this futura would be useless otherwise, I don't do wefted wigs and cutting the hair would simply make it too short for what I need it!

    Wow! Thank you SO much for creating these tutorials. I am inspired!
    I have a synthetic lace wig that I absolutely LOVE everything about EXCEPT... the severe lack of parting space. I am now planning to perform major surgery on her as my sewing skills are pretty nice... I make dresses... but wigs are another animal. maybe ventilate an area of 5 inches by 1.5 inches for parting? Wish me luck!

    Thanks for the great information! Would you be able to share some online places where you can buy very fine blonde hair like this? All of the popular places seem to sell very thick/coarse hair that is dyed blonde and it doesn’t match the texture of natural blonde hair (like you explained in another helpful video!). This would be so helpful! Thank you! 🙌❤️

    Great video...have you ever done a video describing directional ventilation? For example if the sides or back of a ventilated wig are to be short, how to make the hair lay flat?

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  10 років тому

      I did some videos on direction:
      This is a video that shows how to change direction a little smoother than just having a point where the direction goes from one point to another.
      Ventilation: Hair Change Direction
      And this is explaining the ventilation direction and how the hair lays flat or how it has a natural bounce (and also explains the fixed parting vs the free parting)
      Answer - TIP: Hair Ventilation direction, Fixed Part, Free Part
      ~~~~~~~
      See these two videos and ask me if you still need anything else, if your question is not answered
    I did not catch whether this is with all wefts or with only synthetic hair wefts. Please let me know because I can not wait to try this.
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +2
      Synthetic only and only those that have the hair folded in half.
      Human hair wefts always have a short beard that it is useless to go through all that labor to regain like half an inch of hair that is sewn and folded
      Super Wig Maker So basically this method is only for Synthetic wefts? Would you recommend just cutting the human hair wefts straight off the weft instead of doing this method ???
    how about removing/reducing shine on synthetic hair? how do you deal with it esp. w/dark hair colors?
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому
      +Abram Patrick Abesamis Usually dark synthetic hair doesn't look too bad with the shine, sure it might be too shiny for blending with the natural hair but it is easier to conceal.
      People said that vinegar would do something good, I am not sure, I know it might make the hair less tangly, other than that using powder (black talk) shoudl do the job but it would also make the hair dusty or something.
      I really doubt there is anything to do to change the shine of synthetic hair without altering/damaging it.
    I have removed the weft from hair I am using--it is not double-stranded. What brand of hair are you using? I have 22" length hair and would need the exact length that you use in your video. Do you sell any of this 'removed' hair to the public?
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  9 років тому
      Hello girl, I m sorry to hear that your weft had a beard so you can't exploit the full unfolded length.
      Why is this with your weft:
      1) Usually human hair wefts are not half folded, I mean 99% of the time it is not otherwise it will tangle. So if it was human hair it is not worth removing the wefting.
      2) Wefts meant for wig making usually are thinner with a beard in order to be able to use more wefts to spread them throughout the unit in order to cover the base easier and the beard (short returhns in the base of the wefting) are serving the purpose of having double density in the base to conceal the base, while the long end will not be too thick and thus the unit won't be overly thick.
      3) Maybe your wefts were just like this, the hair on this video are futura, damn me but if ANYONE can tell me how to order online in retail I would be glad.
      But you can definitely check this link, thi sis what I used for my synthetic brown, I didn't remove them from wefting because they have 27 inch hair so I cut it, it was too long already. But you can bet they are half folded so removing the wefting will result in the double length this video promises!
      In general you want to do this when your wefts are too short to be cut and used, if you can get a weft at like 30~40 inches long, go ahead, get that one and save yourself some time using the hair cutting it from the weft rather than getting a short weft and going through weft removing.
      +Super Wig Maker what kind of synthetic fiber is on that link? it doesnt say what kind of fiber it is.
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому
      Abram Patrick Abesamis
      That is Japanese high heat resistant fibers. Pretty realistic yet more tangly than futura.
    • @abramabesamis23
      @abramabesamis23 8 років тому
      +Super Wig Maker i have a question, if you dont have an idea of what kind of synthetic fiber you have, and the seller doesnt tell you, how would you test it? Because i usually buy cheap synthetic hair for practicing to ventilate. $3 for a 5 clip weft, 23" hair length. The seller said that the fiber is class A heat resistant up to 180C. But he doesnt know what kind of specific fiber it is. He keeps telling me it's class A. It doest melt or warp when I use flat iron even past 200C.
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому
      Abram Patrick Abesamis
      Then it most likely is Japanese high heat resistant fibers, typical 180C heat friendly.
      This is what ALL cheap heat friendly wigs are using at the moment.
      Rarely do they us futura and even more rarely do they use hiperlon (arda wigs has hiperlon, dunno where they get it from or which factory makes it)
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  10 років тому
      Lace Pieces
      Yeah I forgot to mention that if the weft has a sort of adhesive to help the hair not shed then you cna't do that.
      And you only need to do this to synthetic hair, the human hair have a little short beard that doesn't worth the time so as to gain like half an inch more hair!
    • @LacePieces
      @LacePieces 10 років тому
      Super Wig Maker I will try to clean it with alcohol, it's just a bit of weird feeling, and a bit more dificult to undo the stich, but you can totally do it.
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  10 років тому +1
      Lace Pieces
      Yes that is true, usually the sealers are not water/alcohol soluble (for obvious reasons) so you might wanna use acetone and it will be removed like magic!
      Just make sure you don't keep the weft with the hair falling normally cause if the acetone falls towards the hair it will drag some diluted sealer with it to the strands! Turn it upside down when you do that and poor a generous amount of it so it will wear off.
    • @LacePieces
      @LacePieces 10 років тому
      Super Wig Maker I will take a look about acetone, because I don't have any. I think is the nail color remover right?
