    I always use a hackle to blend. Sometimes I am too lazy to pull it out the storage. going to try your method at least for small quantity blending.

    love your videos. . can you do a video on how to ventilate for specific densities? most times when I order a wig I have to choose a density and I'm not sure how to determine if the density is correct, so I want to try to do my own.

    Hello dear! I am considering purchasing some wefted hair from you in the future. Which type of hair would you personally recommend: 10A or 5A? Can you explain why you prefer one over the other?
    Also, I have a question about your machine wefts. I noticed that yours are single-drawn, while a lot of other hair vendors sell their wefts double-drawn. Is there a particular reason why you've chosen not to sell double-drawn wefts? Do you think one has higher quality over the other? Thank you!

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +7

      Some info you said is wrong, let me explain.
      I can offer 5A, 8A and 10A. I currently onyl have 5A because it is the double drawn hair standart. Anything less than 5A is considered either single drawn or just marked as 4A, 3A etc.
      What is the difference (I'll talk about Number-A naming in examples):
      Lets say an example of 5A 20", 8A 20" and 10A 20" hair
      One weft is 100 grams, +/-5% according to factory standards.
      20 inches 5A hair would be 50 grams of the hair would be 20" and the rest 50 grams would be shorter filler to make the hair look natural, but the weft would still look thick in the ends because half the hair is indeed the finished length
      20 inches of 8A hair means 80% of the hair (aka 80 grams) is the final length and only 20 grams is shorter fillers, this makes the hair look much much thicker in the ends while still keeps a little bit of body layering to make it look like natural thick hair.
      20 inches 10A hair means all hair strands are 20"... not a single strand should be less than that. Of course effectively you might get 99% accurate and have a couple of strands that might have gone in there, or maybe a strand or two have snapped during processing, thus turned shorter.
      BUT a 10A hair weft looks pretty unnatural in my pinion, nobody has that thick hair until the ends.
      Side note, that means that 3A hair would have only 30% long hair and the rest 70% would be fillers, this is the typical single drawn hair that nobody likes
      So in my opinion 5A is good for a nice natural look and mostly for shorter lengths because the shorter wefts do not have too much room for really shorter hair. The longer the weft gets (like 24" plus) you might want an 8A weft just to make the ends look even thicker.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      As for single wefts and double wefts, I prefer single wefts because a double weft is nothing but two single wefts sewn together. This way you might need single wefts to make a wig and spread the wefts apart isntead of having two wefts in one spot and create a bump. My fine hair is single wefts, the medium thickness hair unfortunately are double wefts. I will make sure in the future the wefts will be single.
    • @danicamay9562
      @danicamay9562 8 років тому +1
      Ahh, I had no idea! Thank you for taking the time to explain. I really appreciate it! 5A or 8A wefts definitely sound like the better option. Since I tend to go for longer lengths (22" and up), I might try to purchase 8A wefts in the future. Thanks again!
    Sorry dear, I have one last question. 😭 What is your opinion on human hair that has been dipped in a silicone coating to mimic the feeling of soft, silky hair? I recently purchased a wig that smelled horrible because it had been chemically processed, and I think it was dipped in some sort of artificial coating, too. After I washed and conditioned the hair, I noticed it felt considerably less soft compared to the way it felt straight from the package. Could this be because I washed the silicone coating off?
    I really wish more vendors would just sell human hair as it is. Just wash it, make sure there's no lice in it, and I'll be happy. 😔 My biggest question here is: do you know if the hair from your own suppliers comes with this silicone coating? Do you think it's been altered to create a softer feel and appearance, or is it purely raw, virgin hair?
    I have a question , so when you make the full lace wigs do you ventilate the entire head or do you just ventilate around the perimeter and sew the tracks in the middle. For people who want to pull it up in a ponytail
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +4
      A full lace wig is a full lace thus it is ventilated everywhere, what you say here is a lace frontal wig. Lace in the front and top and wefts in the back and lower areas.
    Question. I heard another wig maker say that she wets the hair and adds a little argan oil or Olive oil to make the hair slip through the ventilating needle easier and to prevent the hair from breaking. What do you think? I have serious issues with hair breaking when I ventilate.
    How does one make a High definition and a high density wig? Is it possible if HD is single strand single knot?
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +1
      Yes it is you just put more knots this way. You just skip less holes of the lace or do not skip any holes, if it is still not thick enough you can get a denser lace to ventialte.
      I am a graduate of a university of Informatics and Communication. Which includes knowing stuff about computers in software but also I had to pass a lot of math, physics and circuits (electric, electronic and digital). I always had a thing for magnetic fields, electricity etc. I used to do my own things when I was about 12 or something. P.S. i was always first in high school in physics class.
      I am rather educated, but I live in Greece. You either leave from Greece to have a working career or you will never work with your degree in sciences.
    Which lace color is best for AA
    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  7 років тому +1
      Usually beige is not good unless the person is very mixed with white. Light Tan for light skinned (or the light brown on my site). Medium brown for the typical AA skin tone, the average. And I also have dark brown for those that are higher in African heritage than others. The darkest I think are those pure African, they can be light skinned but there are pure Africans that are very dark, in this case black lace could be used.
      This hair needed more prepping than normal, I cut out most parts because some areas had brown highlights etc. But the video was like 10 minutes longer.
      If the hair is correct no need for preparing, you just use what you need.
