    Thanks for sharing! I’m making comments from questions I have seen. I am a wig maker as well. There are various types and quality of hair. Authentic natural hair has cuticles just like fish scales if you use this hair you must never fold in half as it will Matt as the cuticles are reversed, the turnover to make the knot should be as short as possible. The hair to b knotted should be placed in a drawing Matt with a visible 1-2 inches exposed from the drawing Matt, if you don’t have a drawing Matt use 2 bushes and sandwich the hair in between secure a rubber to hold the 2 flat brushes in place. Always wet the loop with diluted hair conditioner as you pick up the small amount between your fingers and dip into the solution from a plate. Your knots will be tighter. Practice, practice practice to build up your speed.👍❤️🇨🇦

    @Vito Giovanni Foggia yes it does weaken it but I think a mild bleach is not too much for the knots to handle. So it is a small price to pay for better looks.

    hello super wig maker :) i have a rare disorder where i lose my hair due to self inflicted behavior. i'm watching and learning a great deal from your videos, so thank you for that first.
    now: why did you bleach the lace after you did all the knots and not before? why not just start with a bleached lace?
    is it important to bleach the knots too?

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +1

      +Ryan Torks I just got a magnifying glass too, I never realyl needed it but I was going to get it because it would make it easier with the light it also has. then I found one in a shop near my house for almost half the price that I found it online!!!
      45 euros and it has a huge long arm to be placed the way you want, it has nice lighting and the magnifying lens is about 5" wide or about 12cm, big enough. And it also have 5x magnification which is more than enough

    • @maryfromthedairy2132
      @maryfromthedairy2132 8 років тому +1

      Super Wig Maker Sounds just like mine. It has a metal arm that can move around and the glass is on the end of it. Cost me £30 from Ebay. My eyes are good looking at things up close but I got it in case of eye strain. I want to avoid that.

    super wig maker how do you get your how do you measure your wig cap or how do you make your wig measurements for your lace wigs trying to make a frontal for myself because my edges are bad loss alot of hair I wanted full look thank you

  • @Artisbeauty716
    @Artisbeauty716 8 років тому +2

    hi sorry this may have been asked before but when you bleach knots does lace color really matter in example if you have medium brown lace your ventilating a piece on and want to bleach knots afterward for best appearance for African American person can't you just use transparent lace bleach knots and then dye it brown since bleaching turns the lace color too? sorry for the loooooong question

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  8 років тому +5

      +Artisbeauty716 bleaching does not affect lace colour. This is not cotton lace or something, it is mono-filament nylon netting and it literally has nothing to absorb fluids or hair dyes. It can be slightly dyed by dyes meant for synthetic fabrics.
      People confuse dye with bleach, dye can stain the lace the same way it stains your hands. The dark dyes can literally turn the lace pitch black but the colour should be shed after a couple of washes.

  • @LouisHenriD

    Hi, is it possible to work with synthetic hair please?
    I saw all these accessoiries and exactly this hair Free Shipping Peruvian Straight Hair Bundle Trendy Beauty 100% Human Hair Non Remy Hair Can Be Dyed 1B Color, 33 dollar piece on aliexpress (China) silk and straight hair. It's really difficult to find a toupee exactly like I want. So, I think do it for myself because toupees on line have too much hair (130%) and often with curl or wave. I am very pleased to watch your work, you are great. thank you

    If youre just bleaching the mesh part of the wig, why dont you just bleach it before you add the hair, so you don't risk bleaching any of the hair? Is there a reason you do it in that order? Attach, then bleach? Verses bleach, then attached hair? You do such a fantastic job on your wigs. I watched yr 1st video & thot you were some crazy guy workin in yr basement lol, but, the tone of yr voice kept me intrigued. As I watched more & more of yr videos, I came to discover yr talent and that, you work out of yr room. So, I thot that was funny of me to assume. I use to set woman for wigs back when I worked out of my Salon. It wasn't as fascinating as the job you do by creating the wig. However, it was still very humbling, that they trusted me to set them with a wig suitable for them. So, you must have a sense of elation once your wigs are finished. I subcribed to yr channel & not only that I find yr work intriguing, but, also because yr so real in tr thots & feelings. Like when you got that wig someone destroyed & you repaired. LOL 😂, that was funny! Yr personality is alluring & welcoming. So nice to see the raw talent that is still alive out there! Great Work!

      The mesh doesn't change colour through bleach at all, it is the tiny hair-knots that are bleached so they do not look like little bulbs.

      Ahh!!! Now I understand. It wasn't quite clear to me before. Perhaps if I were hands on, it would've been a bit more clear. I have a friend who has hair loss on top of her head. She is latin, with thin curly waves. We are going to attemp your method for a topper. Is this the method you'd recommend? We have a Sallys Beauty Supply here in my Town & just a few Professional Supply Shops. Is this where I go to get the lace & the tools to begin, or must I order online? Whether my attempt is an achievement or a Fail, I'm going to try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. =D. I feel, I'm learning from a Master at his art! 1 more Q/A: How long have you been making Wigs? I doubt beauty supplie stores have wig making tools. If you have a store for wig supplies go for it, if not I think I sell the professional materials in the most affordable prices onlien at the moment:
      Needles, holders, lace, elastic ribbons and clips or wire teeth combs.
      I do not sell canvas heads because it wouldn't worth the shipping cost, you can get a styrofoam to being, it costs like 1~2$ and that is most likely indeed sold in beauty supply stores.

      This is fantastic! I will order as soon as my client is ready! =D. I'm very excited! I will visit your website right now & look it over. Now that you mention it. A tip I have gor you, at the supply stores where ever you are. You might find a dolly head clamp. They are designed to hold the doll head in front of you while you work on it, they clamp to your work table. They also turn 90°, as well as swivel front back, right & left. It makes projects with doll heads much easier, rather than holding them in your lap. Over all these years, I've managed to collect about 10 dolly heads from the hair shows I've given. I'm a braiding professional among other gifts I have when it comes to cutting & doing crestive designs on hair. Thank you very much. It was my pleasure txting with you. I will continue to watch & learn. =D. Best Wishes! I'll text you if I run into any snags & need help on my topper. Thanks a million!!

    Are the pleats sown only at the perimeter or further toward the middle (point of the pleat)?

      The fold is a little behind the very front part so it won't be that visible in the front.

      +Only1msWeah I cannot offer classes because I live in Greece and it is far away from people who are interested to learn.

    where do you purchase the ribbon from?.. @superwigmaker

    • @SuperWigMaker
      @SuperWigMaker  7 років тому +1

      Just normal fabric store, or the store that sells sewing materials like buttons, needles etc. Just take any semi-transparent ribbon, it is synthetic so it won't get ruined by washing or dyeing.
