if anyone is having an issue with the door thumbnails not showing up when trying to add a door, here's what another commenter here answered:
go to preferences > add ons> archipack> render thumbs. you'll wanna wait 5-10 minutes then restart blender and next time you attempt to add a door, the options should come up this time!

I tried using Archipack, I just found to be really twitchy, and it would break things in inexplicable, unrecoverable ways. I ultimately found it easier to just extrude solidified planes where I wanted them.

Hi. In minute 6:16 in the video I could not understand how you added a segment. Also, the measurements arrows in the video stay there, whereas when I do that, once I click on the wall, the measurements are gone. Is this because I'm using the newest version of Blender? or a newer version of the free Archipack addon that comes with Blender 2.9?

When I click the double arrows(one going left, other right), I click the right one and BAM it creates a wall, extending the one I first created, but I do not see the angle as you showed...

As always, great video. Been following you for some time, and now I'm excited to maybe give Blender a try.
Can you Photo Match, like we do in SU?

Hi Drew! I believe there's an add-on for this, but I haven't tested it yet

@@TheCGEssentials It would be great. I am really loving Blender, go figure after I've spent a long time learning SU. I like Blender for it's 3D look and animation.

You have to download the archipak addon separately.

First time Blender user on v2.92, after years in Maya.
I am trying to follow along with your video, but I'm stumped on a couple of things. Being a Maya user, I had set the keymap to be "industry compatible". As a result, I do not see your menu set when I click Shift+A. the workaround I found, after a a while, was the Create menu on the side.
Next, when I create a wall using Archipack, I am unable to get back the gizmo you are using to make modifications to the wall properties after I get out of Archipack wall creating mode. :(

Update: I have now successfully changed back the Keymap to "Blender".

Great Tutorial BUT. Having a problem with extruding the vertices. I create a vertices as instructed, select it, go in edit mode, hit E, but nothing happens. It won't allow me to extrude anything. I'm noticing that despite selecting the vert in the Layout view, it's not ACTUALLy changing the object being selected. For example, when I hit extrude, it's actually extruding the wall I previously selected. Not sure if this is a new feature of version 2.9? Officially I'm in 2.91.2

Solved my own problem! Make sure have you "Vertex Select" activated, not "Face Select" activated in edit mode :P
