    Great tutorial thanks for that. However, I’m confused regarding window faces. If I consider the external element to face outside then how come the window handles facing outside as well? It makes no sense to me. In my country all window handles facing inside. Any advise?

    • @Dude_Blender

      Hey dude! I hadn't even noticed that ROFL 🤣🤣 great observation! Since never use the handles, I hadn't noticed I was using them inside out. Just rotate them the other way and thanks for pointing that out!

    while laying out the outline, with absolute snap to grid on, i made accurate outline of the walls, and it showed so on the top left of corner where the distance (x, y, z) (total) is given but when i measure it with the edge measurement, it gives inaccurate measurement equal to one third of what i actually layyed down while inputting the measurements. it also gives the same inaccurate measurement in the transform tab.

    • @Dude_Blender

      @@cme9879 I’ll definitely include that on the next version of this video. You can do it by applying the solidify modifier and then you’ll be able to apply materials to individual walls. Note that you won’t be able to go back or change walls so easily once you’ve committed to the modifier.

    how do you make a floor plan with 2nd floor?

    • @harzentdenielle7863
      @harzentdenielle7863 14 днів тому

      including the ceiling design?

    • @Dude_Blender
      @Dude_Blender  14 днів тому

      Hey mate, I don’t do that since I don’t have use for it. I just do the same process and place both plans next to each other so that everything is visible. If you want to create the whole house for a virtual walkthrough or a video game asset, the process would be quite different as you’d have to bake the lighting. You could probably start by just doing both floors and adding a ceiling in he same way as we did the floor, then stacking both plans, but I’ve never done it so I couldn’t say if this works. Cheers!

      Are you using version 4.0? If yes then keep in mind that whatever you have selected on the snap menu affects how the Base Point works. Change it to increment. That should work.

      Hey mate. You could slow down the video to 0.75 speed if it’s too fast, some viewers have told me it helps for them. What version are you using? Most of these issues should not arise if you follow the tutorial correctly. It’s hard to say what’s wrong without looking at your file so if you have screenshots and can make them available in instagram of Facebook I could take a look. Cheers!

      Are you en edit mode with something selected? It should extrude. X constrains to the x axis and B works in 4.0+ to set base point.

      @Dude_Blender  Місяць тому

      @@GrowthMindsetDulce in that case you can use the snap (the magnet icon on the top menu) and set it to vertex. it's just the extra step of turning it on an off, but you can do almost the same thing than with B (base point). hope that helps!

Once you know all the shortcut keys and your interface orientation you will get faster at doing it on your own. Also, on the UA-cam video settings you can change the video playback speed to bit your needs. I found .75 speed to be a nice pace.
