Hey carter im a kid here at Brasil, i work this style alot everyday thanks to your videos and my coach at the gym helps me with it since i spoke to him that i am used to infighting. I wanted to say thanks a lot for teaching this style here because i really identify with it. i am only 5'5 and everyone at welterweight class is tall and fragile, and this is a success for me for the amateur fights. Thanks a lot and i too want to say that your fighters are very good and very lucky to have you teaching them and being able to learn this style. Amor pelo Brasil 🇧🇷❤️🥊
Carter I love how you put these videos together n get your message across in both a personal and articulate many.. keep up the Great Work bruvva, God bliss you 👊
Yeah, you can learn this . The slip bag is your best friend. But scratch all of that. The first thing you have to do to learn this style is get in to shape. Do what I do and copy the exact same training regimen as Mike. No, i cant do 500 dips in 1 day but i can do 100. No not 1000 push ups. Start lower, i did 50 of everything first and gradually moved up and i work so i cant possibly hit those numbers. Your core. Those sit ups are crazy important. I put my feet under the bed and hang off a chair to imitate Mike. I even get up and run at 4 30 in the morning. Your legs have to be super strong. What i learned is everyone hates leg day, not me. Those squats are everything. Dont lift ANY weights!! Then, only after you look like a mini version of Tyson, you can start to learn how to not get hit. Not knocking people out. But not getting hit. If you were training like you were supposed to, then the strenghth in your shoulders, back, torso, and legs are enough for that. But you need to learn how to set people up. One thing i hate people dont say about tyson is his ability not to get hit. He is right there with Floyd Mayweather. The slip bag teaches you to move your head and throw at the same time. And soak in anything cus said. This guy too. Kevin Rooney and teddy atlas. But like he says the only way is to actually get inbthe ring
One thing a lot of people forget or just don't know is that when you are learning something is it's all about the little details. Also, tons of practice and patience as well determination.
I totally believe that you can learn boxing from UA-cam, I believe it because of how much your vids have helped me, thank you Carter you’re a great teacher! 🔥🥊🥊

Hello! Could you please do a video based on the idea of what to do if your opponent is coming at you aggressive with hooks? And on video based on shadowboxing? In Cus's style?
Can you post the whole online training sessions for example what we can do at home? We can make slip bags we have heavy bags, we can work on pads with our friends and so on..
I heard Cus didn't believe in fighters running outdoors to get in shape and build raw stamina and preferred them to get in shape in thex boxing gym doing boxing stuff. Did he rely on getting fighters to do intense bag and wall bag work stamina and endurance? I've heard that Mike relied on hard sparring. I've noticed distance running does almost nothing for me in sparring as far as stamina goes. Could you do a video on how to build stamina and conditioning?
I found that my stamina seems most built by footwork and HIIT drills. Things that have me moving around in a way that builds up a bunch of lactic acid in the muscles and forces me to focus on my breathing to help reduce the pressure of how tired I feel have a much better translation in the ring for me. Running is more about mental toughness and the willingness to continue an infinite distance despite feeling tired and worn out and doing something you don't like doing, and that in overcoming those negative feelings you begin to feel, mentally and emotionally, better about approaching exhausting work.
I learned boxing myself through UA-cam and by studying Tyson videos. I went to a boxing club once and sparred against two people. That was the first time I ever boxed against someone. Both were amateurs with over 40 fights and I did two rounds of sparring against each. neither of them could really hit me once. I had to hold back a lot so as not to hurt them and I had no problems with them.
@@Quran.vision Unfortunately no, I don't have anything except UA-cam, but you can still ask me anything you want. What I wanted to add to my first boxing experience: It was my second day in the gym and the trainer suddenly said, today is sparring day. he chooses the first person to compete against me. At first I didn't think anything of it, I thought it was just a light tap to estimate the distance and see how it feels with an opponent in front of you instead of just a punching bag. I had zero experience. After one or two jabs, the guy suddenly comes at me with a 4 punch combination. He only hit my guard but I still had marks and sores on my forearms from that combo for days afterwards. After this combination, I just thought, what is going on here. I immediately counterattacked, with a jab to put him in the blocking position and another jab to bridge the distance and then the way was clear for the right, but I stopped it in front of his face. He noticed and from then on the sparring became more chill. he held back ab bit. I didn't make any Tyson moves , I just moved quickly in and out and blocked well and countered immediately. That's why they had no chance. I really held back too. it was a crazy experience.

hey carter man you should start like something where ur veiwer can send you their video practicing cus'style or peekaboo boxing and like from watching from the videos u can tell them what's wrong and what's good isn't this a good idea?
Yo, have you ever thought about reaching out to Mike and seeing if he would have any interest in helping you train people there in Catskill? I think for several reasons it would be a beautiful thing for him to help teach the Cus style.
I have joined a gym and I like the coach. But, he is very reluctant with me learning the Peekaboo style even when I try to focus on form. He says that it's too complicated to slip as a beginner and that he could teach me this after a couple of month. what do you think about that ?
I can tell you from experience. UA-cam athletic vids are good "training tools", but it can't replace a good coach and training partners that will work with you to train those physical skills. UA-cam vids can't teach you how to take a punch. You actually have to get punched to learn how to take a punch!
