The "is XYZ a sport" thing is hilarious to me. Marching band, competitive dance and colorguard have been long debated as sports. It used to get on my nerves but it's honestly funny looking back.
(Technically by definition they're all sports, but people tend to argue if there's no ball or puck, there's no sport. Which is a tangent in itself because by that logic track and swimming aren't sports)

I was so surprised that lawn tennis was among those sports you really love. I can relate to that because lawn tennis is my very first sport that I love and yeah I experienced getting barfed during one tournament when I was a kid. 😂🎾
I started basketball when I was 3, my only memory of that is learning how to shoot and making constant excuses to not play. Then I did cheer when I turned 6, and I also did tumbling during that time. Only memory of cheer is the burning hot sun, only memory of tumbling is the beams we were never allowed to use. Then I started gymnastics at 8 years old, I have a lot more memory of that, most of the kids in that class were younger. There was also a boy in that class, and I thought he was really cool. I moved and didn’t start gymnastics again until I was 11. I ended up quitting because I lost motivation. I’m 15 now!

The mention of the foam cheese wheel reminded me of when I was a little kid in gymnastics and wondering about it! I looked it up and it's a Back Handspring Aid to help teach the move.
Is it just me or can anyone else see the improvement in animation?
Edit: I know there are multiple animators and they all do great jobs. I was just saying it was way better than something she did a year ago.

Almost same thing happened to me with the tennis thing. So once the soccer boys were like "kick harder" or "don't worry about your dumb pedicure " so I kicked the ball so hard that it went over the fence and onto the one of the boys heads and I said " DON'T F*CKING CHALLENGE ME TO DO THAT OR I WILL BREAK YOU NOSE WITH A SOCCER BALL B*TCH" he ended up crying and some of the boys fear me to this day.

I also took karate as a child and that video of her and her brother brought back so many memories. What they were doing was long form 2. I remember memorizing and performing long form 2 in front of an audience. But I didn't have to do it to music. Also, I was the highest belt level when the karate studio closed in 2020

it's nice that you tried different things but were never forced to continue.
I did netball in primary school but then stopped because all my friends stopped and that's the only reason I did it, other sports in high school I tried but others lie volleyball, soccer or tennis never stuck with me. I did swimming in primary school as well but that was something for my well being and I will do it to my kids as well even if its a basic once a week lesson didn't need to be competitive if they don't want it. I also did gymnastics but was never good at it.
Dance is the one hobby I still do as an adult for pure enjoyment for myself.

The part in the cheerleading one where you said you got your thumb stuck in the door just gave me instant flashbacks to when I was 11 and I was going to my Amma's for dinner and I slammed my thumb into the door I stayed quiet for about 20 seconds and then I managed to get it free as soon as I turn the corner to my mom I said "Mom I got my phone stuck in the door and it's bleeding" she just rushed me inside and we got some cold cloth and a Band-Aid for me
That part of the story just reminded me of that time when I was little

Loool I was the scaredycat in gymnastics class too, the only sport I ever participated in. I loved trampoline and floor and beam, but never could do a back handspring, and couldn't do a single thing on the uneven bars. They tried to teach me what is apparently a very basic move, where you grab on to the lower bar, swing forward so that you're doing a flip over the bar and then end up with your hips at the level of the bar. I think they vastly overestimated my arm strength cause I never even got close to doing it 🤣
