I recently dyed my hair hot HOT pink (that extra hot is important) and my natural hair color is copper red, kind off. So far I've had it for a week and haven't had any disasters. Except for turning my mom's blue hairbrush purple, I guess 🧍

I have dyed my hair a lot too, I’ve always wanted to dye my hair (which possibly comes with being gay💀)although my mom wouldn’t let me do it. Which makes sense because I wanted to dye ALL my hair BRIGHT NEON PINK. I’m so glad she didn’t let me till 6th grade. Let me just make a list of the colors I’ve had so far; Purple, Green, and Red. I did purple, green, and red twice. I’m now thinking that I’d like to dye it burgundy soon but I still need to find a good permanent color on Amazon.
Try blue or turquoise!(Or white depending on your natural hair colour, idk i’m a Gold/blondie so I haven’t tried it). I recommend blue, because it makes you stand out, but not too much. Colour’s like green stand out, and fade away much easier than blue, red or white(Also depending on which colour your natural hair is, or which green you use).

I have such a similar story!! My mom used to be a hairdresser as well so she would always do my hair so i never really learned how to do it myself? But recently she had to quit because of illness and i moved out so i went looking for a new one. Luckily, the first one i went on a talk with had very similar hair to me but far prettier, we vibed and now i happily go to her to get my hair done
2 things I recommend for colored hair:
1. Dont use regular shampoo, it makes the hair fade faster. (I never had this problem bc I dont use shampoo)
2. GET THE COLOR YOURSELF!! It's way cheaper and like super easy to use especially if you have dark hair and only need to dye the bleached parts.

I had my hair dyed for about a year now and understand the struggles of keeping the color. I dyed my hair purplish red and then turned copper red. Then, I got blue highlights, and now they're turning green (maybe greenish blonde.)

I’m a dude who’s been growing his hair for over a year and I totally relate to having dummy thick hair. Even my mom says so and her hair is thick. It also just falls out of my head at least once a day and every time I think I’m going bald.
I’ve also dyed my hair in the past a couple times but it’s only ever been raven black as I don’t want to bleach my hair. I did it for like a year and had moved during that year and people didn’t realize that I had naturally light brown hair unless I told them or showed a picture of me so they were all amazed when they found out.

I’ve done a lot with my hair through the years, first had it half brown and half blonde, then half brown and red, then black and red, then black and orange, then black and pink, and now i’ve settled for Black and bangs that are silver/blonde. Not sure if i’ll do anything else for awhile because i’m quite happy with it and it matches my clothing style. but yeah it’s hella hard to take care of, since i’ve bleached my hair so much it’s very frizzy, and the colors mix a lot when showering so it ends up looking like 4 different shades of silver/blonde mixed in with the black and my brown slowly fading back in so i have to get it redone almost every month. But it is pretty cool and fun to have

Hair splinters are things that every experienced hairdresser gets.
Yes. I once pulled a hair out the bottom on my foot as it was working its way into the delicate nerve endings with each step. I think it was attached to my sock and started stabbing my foot from there but it was quite strange to see and uncomfortable to feel. Huge relief after pulling it out, though.

I watched this years ago and it was the start of my hair dying journey, I've been brown ive been black I've been blonde I've been neon green I've been navy blue I've been purple! Currently black with neon blue streaks! Always had the same wolf cut or Bob but now I've gone for a mullet with a rlly large undercut cause I two have long ass hair it still falls out everywhere even though I only have 1/4 of my hair left

Finally someone else who has been pierced by a single strand of hair! Right after dying my hair black a few years ago I was running my hand through my hair after it dried and I felt a sharp pain in the tip of one of my fingers and when I went to look I saw that the end of one of my hairs had literally impaled my finger head on and oh man did it ever sting when I pulled it out.
I remember once in 9th grade, I was brushing my fingers though my hair and somehow a strand of hair went through my thumb. Great times

I have really thick hair as well, and EVERYONE thinks it's great and beautiful, when in reality I have to brush it three times a day in addition to it STILL being constantly frizzy and tangled half of the time. I keep my hair straight because I think hair styles are really cool, but I suck at them, and whenever my mom starts styling my hair, the pain comes fast, and I also love the look of my hair when it's down

Peanutbutter63 felt that 😂 I dyed my tips when I was in 7th grade and one morning I had a doctors appointment so I took a shower and I had to still go to school after so I had to put on my school’s uniform and I forgot that the dye still came out so I’m the 13 year old mind I had I put on a white polo shirt! And right before we left I noticed my polo was stained so I had to change 😂 before we left the house.

I had my hair dyed blue for a little while, and when it faded, it actually looked like a light blue, which was pretty😊
about 2 years ago, my wife dyed her entire head of hair blue, and yeah everything Jaiden says about it is absolutely the living hell that was her having colored hair. It stained everything and was insanely expensive to upkeep and it very quickly wasn't worth it after the novelty wore off. She was glad she finally did it cause it was something she had wanted to do her whole life but it's very much "ok cool, let's never do it again" situation
When she said go to the hairdressers to redo hair you can just buy cheap hair dye stuff at like a store and do it yourself sounds hard but it’s really not

If you do it right with the right products (and dont trust a hairdresser that just wants your money haha) it’s actually insanely low maintenance and easy as hell to maintain having colorful hair, and quality dye won’t stain anything or come out of your hair ever.

I got an user cut this past November and recut it in August so next summer it'll be a fairly similar length and it'll be normalish. I've died my hair twice so far and I want to dye it again soon (the first time I was 4-6 and the 2nd time I was 9)

true, everyone at my house has short hair, and every once in a while i find long dark hair strands and i never know why.
I did have one of these moments when a strain of hair was sewn into my skin. I was walking through the kitchen one day, and then I certainly felt a sharp pain through my foot. I then looked down and saw that my mom‘s hair had sewn itself into my foot. like you said, I just was able to take it out and the pain stopped. but it was a little weird when it happened.

Shower: Hair everywhere
Brushing: Hair everywhere
Anytime I do anything: Hair everywhere
Basically, it's a poofy and curly mess
