Thanks for this timely update. Even though I am not privileged enough to be among these esteemed creators, let me give you my review after owning it since Aug 2022. I bought the M3 standard to upgrade from the reliable M2Pro. I wanted to up my game and do high rez photos plus cinematic videos in 4k60 that the M2Pro couldn’t do. The quality of the pics especially at night blew me away as it had a much higher dynamic range and far less noise at iso 200/ 2secs. The battery lasts longer and it’s heavier which makes the drone more stable while flying. The extended flight time of 30+ mins and above has been a game changer for me as I am able to get the shots, take videos, plus still have time to search for shots that I didn’t pre plan for. The waypoints has been very useful and so I plan to use it more for the rest of the year as well as hyperlapse. My only disappointment is that the regular controller may lack the range I sometimes want in city areas so I will eventually need the RCPro. For the time being I’ve invested in the intermediate RC. Greetings from Jamaica 🎉❤
agreed and thanks for your thoughts on it! I need to do a video comparing the two remotes because range is definitely more of an issue with the DJ RC over the RC pro
Thanks to everyone in your review for the validation...it took me a year and the debut of the Classic to finally replace my trusty Mavic Air. No regrets for sure!
Thank you to all the cinematic creators that took time out of their busy schedules to give you what they think of the Mavic 3 after about a year. Master of fact, if I were to be super honest, is thanks to Aldryn, Billy, Russ, and yourself, Jake, that ultimately made me decide to to jump from the Mini 1 all the way up to the M3 and I don't regret that at all.
I made the jump from watching my friend/film maker Anthony's mavic 2 fly his drone to me wanting one and getting the Mavic 3! Cool drone, packed with features.
Excellent presentation Jake! We indelibly agree with your takes! Thank you! ;-) T (PS. Love the collaboration with Jeven, Aldryn, Russ, Billy, and Mike! Much respect for all!)
Many thanks Jake - your video confirms that the Mavic 3 is an absolute BEAST! Love the way that you invited your colleagues to add value too - brilliant and thank you.
I watch all these guys channel’s over the years and have gotten some great advice for my drone hobby and I can tell you that the Mavic 3 is the very best and once you have experienced how well engineered it is and how well it performs or experience the final results it can deliver you really can’t understand how far advanced it is compared to both DJI’s other line up or even what Autel has to offer ,it’s really that good I know it’s expensive compared to the others but it really delivers for me ,I wouldn’t have left a comment otherwise…great video thanks
I bet DJI will buy this video! On a different note, I can’t see myself buying another drone until the main camera has the same sensor size as a FF camera and the 2nd lens is 4/3 or when the lens become exchangeable
Absolutely agree ! Hello from Finland! I work a lot for clients but have not yet launched my channel about drones and aerial photography. Thank you for the video !
Jake, as good of a drone shooter as you are, and as adventurous as you are, It's no surprise to me that you have "The Man" ,, Jeven Dovy and all the other cool guys that I like and watch all the time, sitting in on this production. Great job and it made it even more interesting that you did that. What really blew me away, is what you said at the end of the video. Selling all or most of your other drones, and mainly using this drone. Wow, coming from a guy like you, that really says something. I'm only a serious amateur, but I have the DJI zoom, Air 2, Air 2 s, original old Mavic and the Autel Lite. I like all of them, but I'm almost thinking of selling a few of them and buying the Mavic 3. Thanks for another great video and keep up the good work. Marc T.
Great review! The M3 really is the best drone out there right now and I wouldn't use anything less. I am absolutely amazed at the shots that can be produced with the tele lens after the firmware updates. Really appreciated the multiple creators in one video! Also just wanted to mention that your previous review on the M3 is what influenced me to get it...really enjoy your reviews!
Great review... So happy with my Mavic 3 and it's becoming my main go to drone... And with the RC Pro... Wow! Completes my fleet (Air 2s and Mini 3 Pro). Thanks for sharing!
ROFL, oh I don't know maybe is was me waiting to see if I could film the aurora to include the footage in this video, either that or it was trying to get other creators to send me their videos 😂
The Mavic 3 is a great drone, IF you get a good one. I'm surprised to see no UA-camrs talking about the huge color issues this drone has. Either most people don't see it, or don't want to see it. I recently had to return a M3 classic for this issue. I then started to do research and there are several topics on the DJI forums with people with similar issues: weird big magenta and green spots on the image. Not so much visible in video, but super annoying in photo. My M2 or M3mini do not have these issues, at all. And I am not the only one, almost ALL of my friends with the M3 have these issues. And they're super difficult to get rid of. You have to use a lot of gradients and play with the color calibration to get a 'decent' image. Now it appears the Cine version doesn't have it most of the time, while the M3 classic most versions have it. This is a known problem, and it's known to DJI for years already. Yet, they don't seem to care about it. Therefore, I would greatly discourage new people from buying a M3 drone. Unless you have the time to try out 5+ drones at the store and hope you get one without these weird color issues. I might make a UA-cam video about it simply to show this issue and create awareness.
I have had a total of 6 mavic 3's now and none of them have had those issues and how could it have been "known by DJI for years" when the drone has only been on the market about a year and a half?
I have actually seen a video in German about the same issue showing that the photos taken from the Mavic2 Pro are actually better when comes to color issues on the edges and sharpness whereas the Mavic3 seems to have better dynamic range. So the issue seems to be real. Since I primarily do videos, it’s no such a big deal for me though.
Great review! I must say that after owning the Mavic3 for a year then losing it, then after replacing it, I still went with the standard version because, I to find myself using the tele lens more often to capture more creative depth shots for my projects. It’s the only drone I care about using at this time.
Would you go for the Mavic 3 or the Air 3? I have a 2s and am filming kitesurfing so I need zoom to get close without getting caught in the kite lines. I also film in 25-35mph winds
This was a wonderful review. If you presented this to 200 people in a conference room, drone owners who were not sure if they wanted to buy any one of the Mavic 3’s, at the conclusion, everyone of them would be lined up at the DJI window in the back of the room making their purchases. I just called to my wife, “Honey, come here; you have to watch this.” Cheers from Wisconsin to you and your colleagues.
Nicely done. Loved the B-Roll and the special guests. Mavic 3 is by far my favorite drone and will probably be my last drone I purchase because its that good.
That was a great video Jake! I'm glutting on Mavic 3 videos right now and this one was top notch. Currently have the Air 2S and it's been a great starter drone, but the images out of the camera aren't up to my standards and I'm looking at the Mavic 3 Classic as my next drone. Now if they would just go on sale :).
I’ve been considering the Mavic three after flying with the Mini Pro for a while. But I’m wondering if there is going to be a mavic 4 later this year. Any thoughts on this?
Thank you so much and pretty much the same here, I have been through several mavics due to eagles, and buildings and I don't think I would get the classic just because I do use that tele camera so much
Great review! Is no-one talking about the wild hyperlapse at 3:30 where the foreground spins one way the mid ground spins the other way and the back ground is virtually at standstill. How'd you do that Jake
Hello Jake. You have great content please keep up the great work. I do have a question about the mavic 3 cine and would like to know what shutter speed are you using on slow motion video
Depends on what you want to do with the footage after durning editing. If you plan to slow the 120FPS down to match 30FPS then you want to shoot with a shutter speed of 1/240
Great video Jake ! Which model were you using at around 0:47 - 1:20 ? The standard or the Cine ? Quality is outstanding, very "film-like" or did you put some filmgrain or sg else in post ? Thanks !
thats a combination of cine and normal depending on the shot and which one I am referring to in the moment. they were color graded using my LUTs which I will be releasing soon!
@@JakeSloan OK, some of your shots seem to be much higher quality, comparing to other shots, and the other vloggers' footage in this video and MY Mavic 3 footage....I guess these good ones were the ProRes shots...Which is obvious in a way, but strange in an other, because in many reviews Cine owners stated that the difference is negligible between the quality of the M3 and the M3C - ProRes shots... well it looks like they were wrong. Just hate the fact it won't let you turn off landing protection! The most irritating thing about the drone for me. Besides that it's very good. However courses lock would be good as well, two things we had in the Mavic 2 Pro.
@@JakeSloan Thanks for this. Really appreciate it. This had me worried actually because I'll be buying this drone. And of course we don't want these birds to just snatch away our money 😅
@@JakeSloan Yes~ I agree with you, the Mavic 3 sure is the best drone on the market, but in this video you give me a very hard sell feeling~ just like a DJI sponsored advertisement~ ha ha~ I'm your subscriber since the Air 2S launched~

@@JakeSloanAppreciate the response. Mavic 3 Pro it is. ❤
Great review!
Thanks!
NIce collaboration!
Thanks!!
it's the best drone for youtubers like us bro
It’s pretty good!
Can you use digital zoom in still pictures
no only optical zoom then in post you will need to crop in
@@JakeSloan thank you
So you mean only the 1x and 7 x from the two cameras nothing in between or above basically
Wonder why it’s only in video mode the digital zoom
Amazing
Thanks
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Well wort the money Jake!
agreed!
WOW !! great review Sir!!; new to your channel however well done as there are no doubt a number of us looking for guidance on the best financial investment regarding Drones!; thank you......................
Glad it was helpful!
Mavic 3 pro videos popping up like mushrooms soon
true lol
Just hate the fact it won't let you turn off landing protection! The most irritating thing about the drone for me.
Besides that it's very good. However courses lock would be good as well, two things we had in the Mavic 2 Pro.
Agreed!
It's as if all the avengers gathered to comment on the infinity gauntlet!
hahahahahaha but kinda true
is this prone to bird snatching?
I have had one snatched by an eagle one time but other than that it hasn't been too much of an issue
@@JakeSloan Thanks for this. Really appreciate it. This had me worried actually because I'll be buying this drone. And of course we don't want these birds to just snatch away our money 😅
Just a very hard-sell advertisement for Mavic 3 only~ no drone is 100% perfect, and this drone also has its own cons as well~
this is the best drone on the market at the moment also I talk about the conditions Ive tested it in if you bothered to watch the video...
@@JakeSloan Yes~ I agree with you, the Mavic 3 sure is the best drone on the market, but in this video you give me a very hard sell feeling~ just like a DJI sponsored advertisement~ ha ha~ I'm your subscriber since the Air 2S launched~
Can I have your drone?
I use them both
@@JakeSloan What is your preferred drone and what other drones do you have?
I can't disagree with you more on the RC . Putting images straight to my phone leaves far more options for editing and transfering to pc. The only people who like this control is tuber's and newly owned Mini 3pro owners 😊
Well there is that lol
You are Rght 😂😂😂 555🎉🎉🎉🤙🤙🤙
Cheers
No a review …more like an infomercial
very much a review, including information like durability testing over time
ALL HAVE 1 YER ONLY NEW MAKE REVIVE , LOL
if you bothered to watch the video I and others talk about durability and what kind of conditions I've tested it in
@@JakeSloan good drone mavic 3 better air3
As a mavic 3 owner, this feels like a DJI Chinese CCP funded commercial. Hail communism I guess...
Oh. my. god. really… 🙄 if there was a better product on the market I’d be talking about it instead. BUT there isn’t
I am looking for professional drones not made in china for peacekeeping. DJI is full of security flaws.,.
Check out parrot or skydio
BS that has been disproven time and time again
