- This is a Cambodian dessert recipe named Nom Ko that is yummy. It is a sweet dessert with the texture being soft and mochi like; it has crunchy mung beans on the inside.

1 1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup peeled mung bean
1 tsp of salt
1 can coconut milk
3 cups of water
1 box of pure water chestnut flour or rice flour
1. Prepare the flour mix add water chestnut flour, add the sugar, add salt, add coconut milk, and 3 cups of water and mix well with no lumps
2. Roast the mung bean on medium heat until golden brown
3. Cook and stir the flour mix on high/medium heat then adjust it to low later when you get a mochi consistency
4. Make sure to connstantly stir the mung beans and the flour mixture so it doesnt burn
5. When the flour turns into mochi lower the heat and add in the mung beans and stir well
6. Pour the mixture into a glass pan and let it cool until it hardens
