I was a passenger on the A380! Hats off to the pilot, calmly gave updates to the passengers throughout. Thanks for the video upload, was interesting to see!
I cannot imagine what it must have felt like inside the plane! It looks like minor movements from us watching outside, but that plane is as big as a city block! It looks like the last time around they got their flaps and everthing where they wanted it to be, although a bit hard landing.
Thank you for letting us know you was onboard , it was fascinating to watch and stream , the pilots done a terrific job during the hour of trying to get the A380 down . 👍
I would prefer if the flight crew concentrated on flying duties rather than giving updates to the passengers at the back. In flying it's Aviate, Navigate, Communicate so passenger updates are at the bottom of the priority list. Not the type of distraction needed after several hours of flight to then subsequently landing in challenging conditions . . .
The skill required to land a big beast such as that A380 is immense and obviously passenger and crew safety comes first 👍🏻 Hats off to that pilot for the landing in such adverse conditions!
We were on the M6 motorway in a traffic jam and this came directly over us on its first attempt, an incredible sight to see something that large just above you, only for us to see it shoot up again for another go. My kids videoed it through the sunroof and then tracked it on FlightRadar until we arrived at our destination, Stratford Upon Avon, only to find out it took 3 attempts. Great footage, thank you!
Incredible MrAnderson , seeing it that close above your head , an engineering marvel 👍 Thank you for watching this footage as well , really appreciate the support 👍
Mindblowing. From that front on shot, in those tiny windows is some human in total control of this behemoth, this airborne monster which has less right to be airborne than a bumble bee.
Great video of the A380. Certainly on the second attempt on short final it appeared the cross wind component had picked up a lot more. Great to hear the pilot kept passengers updated through their attempts to land. Very skilled pilots indeed. Impressive flying guys!!!!!🎉🙂
Thanks Christine , i always find landings like this reassuring , the pilots , only touchdown when everything is 100% , no safer way to travel , than by air 👍
Thank you Rob , also great comment regarding the pilots , they done a fantastic job , in such conditions ( makes you realise just how safe flying is , even if the winds are strong ). 👍
amazing lane, terrific pilots; I am 82 and took my first trip on an EMIRATES A380 , from LHR TO DBX; change to an Boeing 777 to Seychelles, there is no comparision between them. the B777 was not comfortable for the trip to SEZ, for a holiday ( 1 week, last June ) and even when the A380 pilots announce there is some turbulance you never noticied that there was turbulanceany it was still so smooth on the A380. I doubt if I can afford any more holidays, but I love to see any videos with the A380 flying.
I’ve flown on the A380 with Emirates and it was a fantastic experience. What an amazing aircraft. Ten people sat across each row !! 3+4+3……What amazed me was the sheer physical size of the wing, it’s huge.
I was so shocked when I saw the number of passengers waiting at the gate to board our first A380 flight I refused to get on and my poor partner had to talk me down. Once I boarded, different storey and looking forward to my A380 Emerates flight later this year.
Great video. I was watching it live too. I had friends at the airport waiting to board that plane to come and spend Christmas in Oz. So happy it finally got down and didn’t have to divert to Gatwick. From memory it was about an hour in total between the first attempt and the final landing. Thanks for your hard work.
Awesome filming. Just being out on foot in yesterday's weather was bad enough, can't even imagine how it felt for the passengers on planes being buffetted about the skies in the storm yesterday. Massive shout out to all the pilots , awesome. 👏 👏
Amazing! In mid-February 2020 I had the scary experience of two go-arounds in a storm after a trip to Tenerife, landing on our third attempt…the first was at our destination airport Gatwick, then we diverted to Birmingham, couldn’t land there (this attempt was the scariest) so diverted to Manchester, and finally landed. The airport was closed and there were no staff to take care of us, so we sat on the plane for hours before being allowed to disembark. Then we managed to catch a coach to London, arriving home about 15 hours after we were due to, but for the sake of our safety it was worth it…thank you BA! As it was a late night flight I don’t think there was any footage filmed…couldn’t find any anyway.
Gee wiz I would of been screaming we are going to die,but yes at the end of the day SAFETY IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANT....HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU FROM BATHURST AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺

Yesterday here in Düsseldorf, Germany a A380 had 2 go-arounds and after that, it had to fly a holding pattern for more than half an hour, because the airport was closed due to a thunderstorm associated with Pia.
Scary ... but also with the way the pilots handled all arrivals throughout the day , it does give a massive reassurance of just how safe it is to fly 👍

How often do commercial aircrafts almost land but then have to soar upwards again and make a circle back around to try landing again?
What a bumpy runway that is so many peaks n troughs 😱😱
Yeah, that is one wavy runway! In America we like our runways flat. It's makes it a little easier to land without all of those hills and dales.
