I am surprised that the driver was fine after all of that. Also, just a few months back, I had something happen nearby my house like that happened. An rv got stuck on the crossing since it stalled out and then it went boom as a CN train came on in.
We had something about the same in Edmonton. Truck leaves the road and dives between 2 bridges of the E/W hwy 16 overpass down onto the CN main to Jasper. No train. Driver was killed. Damn good thing that was lumber in your case, and not tanks.
I was on my way to uni talking to a buddy when I looked over at the tracks and was like “holy fucking smokes bud, you ain’t gonna believe what I’m lookin at” 💀
@@christopherescott6787there are regulations put in place which will actually punish the driver if they keep driving after reaching a max shift length, and the company if they punish the drivers for following the regulation
@@theslicksalmon I drove for 30 years. I know drivers that are very much PUSHED into long hours of driving. It still happens every day. Don't kid yourself.
Back in the days when 4441 worked for the SOO you needed all the noise you could make at some of the blind rural Crossings in the Midwest. It looks odd to see them with the small strobes again trusting that's for remote control service. When delivered many of the units did have strobes but were gradually removed
Looks like the truckers and the railroads are escalating their competitive spirits the retain business LOL, I worked for Canadian national railways and I had a Canadian Pacific Railway truck try to take me head on on the Montreal River Hill on Highway 17 in Northern Ontario LOL I thought that was just mean😅😅😅
Little bro got mad at the train 💀
would have been a different storey if it hit the loco tho
Yah really mad!
For real

Why vehicles love to be stalled on crossings but can go over bad terrain and potholes is beyond my comprehension.
Trucker wasn’t fine. Listen much … airlifted to hospital in critical condition. Later he was upgraded to serious. I haven’t heard anything more.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, thank you very much and have a nice day and night, and I hope everybody's okay.
a few foamers and I, meaning im not a foamer, they are. hahaha. Great capture of notching up one.

Truckers are getting revenge now 💀

Wild ride for the trucker , glad everyone will be ok .
All of that precious lumber….
We all got that one experience where the train just blows your ear drums out. Lol
I've heard one of these stories about a truck hitting a train, it was at Lismore Victoria in Australia, 18 years later.
Train: 104
Truckers: 1
Idk what the actual stats are but this is the first time I’ve heard a train lose catastrophically to a truck
I was on my way to uni talking to a buddy when I looked over at the tracks and was like “holy fucking smokes bud, you ain’t gonna believe what I’m lookin at” 💀
Damn.... this is why you never drive when drowsey.
Its thr same as driving drunk. At least no one died 😮
Sadly, truckers are pushed far too hard to deliver.

Hi BNSF1458
OH MY RIZZ ITS HIM
Bro thought this was GTA 6 💀
Horn gal here, let em call out loud!!
The trucks had enough and rebelled
And here is why you don’t fall asleep at the wheel especially when you’re chasing trains.
He wasn’t chasing a train at all. He was on the overpass crossing the tracks.
Very neat video !!

Yeah, head end of the train was a good distance past the highway when it hit

@@TheWinnipegRailfan that's good
My goodness, glad the driver survived. That crash looked horrific, was there anything in his blood or was it just sleep?
Not that I know of, just driving while drowsy
A complete lack of intelligence,A.K.A Punjabi style.
I saw this on ctv news Winnipeg
How did they go about detouring
That orange CP unit looks out of place.
At at least it's not a CPKFC abomination.
I would love to see the bill on this to the trucking company.
Bet they don’t have enough insurance to cover that.
How do you know he was "falling asleep"? Source? Anyone have a name...? (you know why I'm asking...)
Man I hate loud horns. The local crews don't even give me horn salutes because they know I hate them so much.
Christ almighty…
