    Wouldn't it make more sense to pour the butter on the popcorn before adding seasoning? I imagine it would probably help make it stick to the popcorn better that way

      It’s a bit odd that he did it like that, another good way to do it is to add the seasoning to the butter

    I made this recipe today, and it's the best, better than caramel or butter popcorn. Slightly spicy, sweet and aromatic. I highly recommend it.

    Thanks! I melt the brown sugar and butter in pot on stove for about five min, add a little baking soda, then spread that mixture on top of popcorn: add some kosher salt mix well and the place in the oven for a salty sweet buttery treat! Mmmmm

    Do you know a healthy trick to have the seasoning stick to the popcorn? For example, when I use salt and pepper, most of the seasoning fall to the bottom of the bowl than stick to the popcorn.

    • @dulciebee7824

      You need to coat the popcorn in oil first. So spray canola/coconut/olive oil on it. It acts like glue. Or you can melt coconut oil and add the seasonings into the oil for better coverage.

    not that it makes me an expert, but with the many many 8hr movie theatre popping shifts and the compliments i get at home..... you've wasted an opportunity to flavor your popcorn correctly if you do not add the seasonings to the oil to be toasted while the kernels pop. If you're worried about burning, you're doing it wrong and need more movement. Movie theatres use butter flavored EVERYTHING... butter flavored coconut oil, butter flavored salt, and even butter flavored.... flavor.... (its not butter they add at the theatre!). Infuse your oil for maximum pop corn enjoyment!

      Kroenan Thanks for your tip! I'd love to learn the tricks from you. Could you please advise on how to move the corn to prevent biting?

    • @nicholltupak
      @nicholltupak 6 років тому +1

      Sonibabe555 I have a good tip when making it in a pot. Idk if it’s good or not lol just how I’ve always made it and never once burned the popcorn.
      Add oil and kernels in the pot and moved them around so they’re all coated in the oil. Then put the heat on low and wait until the first kernel pops (this is when I would add butter just like mentioned above) and turn the heat on high until the remaining kernels pop. Haven’t tried this with butter but will definitely be trying next time.

    is there a way to apply the olive oil to my popcorn without makung it soggy? cos the oil/ butter helps me stick my seasoning to the popcorn, but it also makes it reaaaaal soggy:(

    • @helpfulnatural
      @helpfulnatural 8 років тому +1

      Maybe use a spray olive oil to spray the inside of the bowl first, then add your popcorn and toss to give it a light coating and to help your spices adhere. That way it shouldn't be as soggy like if you were to pour the oil directly onto the popped corn. The same would apply for using bottled oil. Just use a brush to lightly coat the bowl before adding the popcorn. Hope this helps. :)

    Raw, unheated and unsimmered spices. Surery simmering in the butter or ghee for better boiling point. I make mine with spiced lightly fried in grass fed beef fat and drizzled over or added half way through popping. A bit risky this way. Life is full of risks, just choose yours carefully.
