HAHA!! Great video Eric! That step up was pulled from a defunct skate park in Joplin, MO...and it is clearly not made for bicycles. You both did exactly what most people do...buck their way on, and barely make it! I wondered when you would make it to my backyard trails!!! I hope you also made the short drive over the Eureka Springs to ride there during your visit, because that has more gravity trails that don't require quite the pedaling intensity. But...in general, you nailed it, you have to be fit just to keep the speed needed to clear our jump lines, and your next video at Coler will iillustrate that well if you ride "Cease and Desist" from top to bottom. Hitting "Drop the Hammer" with max heart rate is a LOT different than sitting up on top of it at resting heart rate, composed, and then clearing the biggest tables at the bottom completely winded....is even harder. Nice job on all of the trails you rode. @@jonathantierney7301 .... I'm just going by what people traditionally think of as a "downhill trail," which for most people is something closer to the gnar that you see on the World Cup, or larger national DH races, like Windrock for example. Those include difficult rock gardens, steep sections, some berms, jumps, and usually a few substantial ladder drops and rock drops. Flow trails are what most associate with something like A Line at Whistler, where it's intended to be pretty wide, usually not a lot of rock features that force technical riding, and mostly big berms and jumps that require a certain speed to clear them, based on the size of the features. Years ago, a trail in Slaughter Pen called Medusa had a flow trail that had table top jumps, a wall ride, and several berms. You could ride it just as fast on a hard tail as a DH bike. BUT...people referred to it as the "Medusa Downhill Trail." This was prior to the takeoff of UA-cam, so people would load up and travel to the area with their triple tree bikes ready for some intense challenges, ride down it once, and then have to push their bikes back up the return trail to ride it again. Many would keep searching the system looking for the "downhill" trail thinking they were in the wrong spot! They would show up at the LBS's UNHAPPY to say the least. So, because of that, I seldomly refer to anything around here as a "downhill" trail. We now have a HUGE mix of trail types in Bentonville/Bella Vista proper, but it gets even more diverse if you include the 2 hour radius around it.

$500k per mile of trail? 😳 That falls right in line with some charities using the cardboard signs placed on countertops of businesses-the ones that have the half-circle cutouts in them to hold quarters. I’m not going to call out a particular organization, but after researching the charity that my business was raising funds for, it was brought to my attention that for every quarter collected, only ONE CENT was put back into the charity for research and assistance for the afflicted. It sounds like the Walmart trails follow a similar model.

@@thetrailtrawler2602 .... Oh I know, and nothing personal was meant by my comment. I think the most famous one was Skills with Phil just ABUSING a dept. store bike! Others have done it as well, but we all know how it's going to end. HOWEVER.... While people make fun of Walmart bikes, I believe there is value there. How many kids get Walmart bikes for X-mas from parents or relatives, and then get hooked? It doesn't take long to see the limitation of a $100.00 bicycle, but think of how many people get their first taste of cycling on a Walmart bike? We have a LBS here, Mojo Cycling, and they will work on Walmart bikes. What happens commonly is, the owners quickly realize that the parts and labor add up to more than the value of the bicycle, and with some brief discussion about it, many parents will opt to purchase a nicer bike if it's something their kids are really into. For adults, it affords them the opportunity to get out on the trails and see if they like cycling at all, before they spend more money on it. Think about it...for what you can do on a MTB initially, a Walmart bike is going to be adequate for a few rides anyway, and you would spend close to $100.00 just for a day's rental.
The trails here actually aren’t built by Walmart, they’re mostly funded by the Walton family which has a separate company that does all the work on the trails. The trails are amazing and it really is a great place to live. Awesome to see more people checking it out!
If they make it, who the fuck cares whether it's the 'right' way. This channel is built on pushing comfort limits and overcoming fear. Which is a great thing that doesn't need nerds like you to pipe up with your gatekeeping bullshit
A few years from now come back to Arkansas we are building a 63 mile long trail called the southwest trail running from our capital, Little Rock to Hot Springs a historic tourist town with forests and other trails surrounding it.

Not all of that Walton Foundation money went to MTB trails. It also paid for a big chunk of the Razorback Greenway - a 37-plus mile paved trail that runs through several cities in the region.
I think it sounds like a vacation destination for all trail rippers who knew Walmart had the love for mountain bikers like this to bad it in Arkansas yet would be fun pit stop and pause for some trail fun.
Walmart as a corporation doesn’t really care about MTB, but dudes grandkids put lots of money into the community around their hobbies. Grandson bought mtb trails, granddaughter built an art museum in the same area.

"Okay, let's go." is the new just do it
Alejandro Matos I am making new bike videos of you want to check them out
I race BMX. You said soiltac and my face lit up. It's the gold of dirt. It's so amazing
I like bikes alot but i never been to trails and skate parks with my bike just outside and mountain biking looks REALLY fun
Its been 6 months. Have you been mountain biking yet? I'm about to go mountain biking for the first time this weekend
They have some in La Ventana, BCS, Mex, where the heiress visits sometimes. The trails were technical and fun but not very fast and minimal features. Wouldn't ride again but glad I did. She owns a MTB shop there too.
The sunglasses on the original Walmart guy gave me jordan boostmaster vibes
Haha, totally 😄
I cant believe I missed you guys! I was there there the day after you! So cool to see you riding in my back yard!!! Come back soon please ^_^
I want to live in Bentonville. Ride life everyday.
Fred Vaughn you want to live in Fayetteville bentonville sucks besides the bike trails.
Please move there!
I actually live in Bentonville it's really cool and fun here. Good location too.
The place where you biked first I had to spend a couple days there for a soccer tournament
Thanks people of walmart!
I got a bike shop there. We worked on some the trails too
Love the vid...can you going ridding at oak mountain state park in Hoover, Alabama
The slope style was all built by us locals back in the day ...Walmart has never touched it
Lol! I went over the bars on that log(6:27) front tire went off on the last 2 feet. 😂 I got distracted by a deer!! 🦌 😂
Amazing video! I have made 3 videos on BENTONVILLE, and one more in the making ( I think we almost ran into you guys) yet I don know how I haven’t thought of that title! So amazing! Keep an eye out on my channel for my bentonville video “ teaching my dad how to ride mtb jumps - bentonville NWA “
I watched your coler video! Keep sending it buddy!
Black Bird - We have a similar surface trail system here in Minto New Brunswick. It is all pulled from the coalmine in the area. Probably the most popular trail system in the province.
I love being homeschooled!
Love your videos, especially the Ribbon Trail/Lunch Loops video in Colorado! Love the Lunch Loops! I found out about Walmart building trails when last year I read about the bikes they were developing.
Who’s waiting for the
RIDING MY WALMART $150 BIKE AT WALMART TRAILS
Walmart employees get their bonuses, and buy HIGH end MTB's. So, a Walmart bike has a little different connotation here! :-)
Willbros yeah I was talking about the fad of people buying cheap Walmart bikes to take to bike parks for UA-cam videos...
Willbros oh I totally agree they have their place in the market and if it brings people to riding bikes it’s money well spent!
Looks like the trails were built for Walmart bikes.
The trails here actually aren’t built by Walmart, they’re mostly funded by the Walton family which has a separate company that does all the work on the trails. The trails are amazing and it really is a great place to live. Awesome to see more people checking it out!
new walmart trail center rule: you can only ride it with Walmart bikes and Hurt yourself in consequence
I was blown away by the cost of the trails, but those massive slabs, highly engineered tracks, and prevalence of riding sites is very impressive.
woman hits step up in worst possible way: 'she really is a superstar on a bike'
man hits step up in worst possible way: ...
If they make it, who the fuck cares whether it's the 'right' way. This channel is built on pushing comfort limits and overcoming fear. Which is a great thing that doesn't need nerds like you to pipe up with your gatekeeping bullshit
That’s so cool they just have nice trails throughout town
Excellent preview of Bentonville! I'd love to get out there! Thanks a lot guys!
A few years from now come back to Arkansas we are building a 63 mile long trail called the southwest trail running from our capital, Little Rock to Hot Springs a historic tourist town with forests and other trails surrounding it.
it's really neat to see you guys doing trails that I have done in the past.
The trails here actually aren’t built by Walmart, they’re mostly funded by the Walton family which has a separate company that does all the work on the trails. The trails are awesome and are always changing too. Awesome to see more people checking it out!
Great video! I felt the fun all the way from Northern Indiana. Looked so good I want to plan a Bentonville trip this spring.
Dude thank you for sharing this! I had no idea, and this will def be one of my stops as I go close to there a couple times a year! Good Luck, killin it!
That looked like a blast. I love these videos keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
10:45 best example of the gopro effect I have ever seen, 10:27 full gopro effect without other third person POV
Those trails are a dream come true. Those $400,000 per mile looks to me like a tax gimmick for Walmart
Took me two years to finally do the Coler road gap. Can't wait to see how quickly you do it.
I like your narration. And how you added a little history lesson! Right on
Awesome! Always look forward to your and Yuka’s videos! Had been waiting on your Bentonville videos! I live an hour and a half away from that playground. Unfortunately, I’m sidelined with a fractured humerus from a crash there earlier this month.
You get my like because Cooper was so cool and Yuka doing the hop on hop off step up!
I live in bentonville, and it's awesome here. Isaac's trail is a fun one for beginners and experienced alike.
I'm sure Cooper's parents know their soon if a very gifted athlete with mountain biking. That's probably more than likely why they home school him and have him focus on that more.
I have no knowledge of mountain biking, but I just got a biking video in my recommended, and now I can't stop
Not all of that Walton Foundation money went to MTB trails. It also paid for a big chunk of the Razorback Greenway - a 37-plus mile paved trail that runs through several cities in the region.
GREAT STUFF!! You’ve earned a new subscriber!!
Its so trippy seeing the trails i ride every week in a youtube video.
This is my new favorite UA-cam channel, and I don’t even mountain bike.
This is the trail i like. No BS rocks, roots, boulders that require 32” tires with triple shocks marketing crud. Done with bumpy trails to literally shake the shit out of you.
I did that rock slab drop in November '19, good to see they put rock on the landing!
Great video! I had no idea Wal Mart built riding trails. Cool Stuff!
You should ride the monument trails at Hobbs and Mt nebo while youre here. Maybe hit Northwoods as well.
From here and it’s its basically mtb paradise. I love living here.
dude, that "tarmac"topped run looks awesome. some of our UK trails re hard packed with small stone hard core, makes it super smooth. awesome !
My great uncle Homer used to work for Walmart before he passed, he bought a large sum of their stocks and his fortune is huge.
I really love the way you edit your video and the voice over ! Cheers from la France !
Honestly, the only thing that isn’t perfect about bentonville is the kicky jumps. Some of them are smooth, but others are just so kicky. It’s cool watching a video of trails you’ve ridden before. Nice job
