i tend to skip through videos these days (yeah the mahalo ones too.. ) but this one was just perfect. good fun, not over produced, kept watching the whole thing. Also, scary lol.
He loved making those videos, but he can't justify it anymore. The videos are the most work and time-consuming, which he doesn't mind, but it's hard to do twice the work for half the views. This issue isn't just on his channel; Phil Kmetz also mentioned why he does fewer trail builds. Another reason is he has two kids now, and weekends are family time. Before kids, he worked 7 days a week, often all night, posting Patreon videos at 3AM. That pace was unsustainable and probably unhealthy.
Seth's skills are underrated. He makes his features look downright comfortable even though they are ABSOLUTELY terrifying. Props to anyone that rides Berm Peak
I like that Matt's wearing full upper body armor for Berm Peak. Gettin wise with all those years, and also understands how jank some of the builds are lol
I absolutely love how Seth is hosting all the best MTB You Tubers or Video Producers (Jason & Matt are top level). All our favorites hanging out making vids! I think Alex was one of the 1st that Seth paired up with. Even Kyle & April & Phil Kmetz. The best people make the best (&fun) vids! Thanks everyone!
I could see a whole series of "Can you handle Berm Peak?" videos. It would be cool to see how people approach these features for the first time. Keep it up Seth!
I’ve been watching Mahalomydude/IFHT for years. I always knew they were good riders, but for some reason this video really made me appreciate just how good they are when they were crushing Seth’s features fairly easily. Loved this Collab btw!
I ride the North shore a lot. I ride a lot of the same trails as Matt & Jason but I don’t think I could ride Seth’s yard. You can get a lot done on the North shore while keeping your wheels on the ground. Some of Seth’s features are truly unique.
Great post! I'm from the Shore and was always curious how the a-tier guys from here would do there. Great to see the old format make a return. Woukd love to see these types sprinkled in every now and again amoungst the pay-the-bills vids.
As lots of people are asking for more building content, but you have said that it is tricky to balance family with work, maybe the next build series could be a climbing frame or treehouse?
In a trail center near Cornwall, Ontario back in the twenty oughts, there was a giant teeter in a forest of jack and white pines, made from a downed tree trunk of one of those pines, which twisted as it pivoted down and shifted laterally (the end moved over about 2 feet from where it was when it was up in the air) and if you went tooo fast it'd still be in the air when you got to the last quarter of it, pivoting towards a tree. And after riding it cleanly a couple times, and my friend Jenny riding it also (and I got some nice photos of her on it for a simple 35mm camera), I handed my camera to a friend and said "now get a picture of me on it", and for whatever reason this time i had slightly too much speed and drifted off just past the pivot while it was basically level but I was five feet high and came off to the right side. Whereupon I used a very sharply barked white pine to arrest my fall...with my face. Broke my glasses, gashed open the side of my head. First words of concern out of my friend Jenny after I picked myself up off the forest floor were... "Kristan...I can't drive stick". We were some 110kms (67 miles) from home and my titanium frame glasses were bent and one lens was in my hand. After that incident, I switched to using dedicated riding glasses with prescription insert subframes and replaceable outer lenses.
I'd love to try and give these features a go on a unicycling. No chance of me hitting the teeter cannon or Kevin jump but I'm hoping snake pit or Elmer Fudd would be doable.
This is very interesting. Features don't have to be massive to be challenging for advanced riders. I wonder if that's something we should be learning from when designing major racing events. Imagine a combination of high speed big jumps, plus small and extremely technical, forcing riders to adjust their pace and mentally adapt to radically different features.
Thanks for having us for the most stressful/fun day ever! Time for you to head up to BC and we can return the favour!🤙
We need to hear Seth's weird pronunciation of "Whistler" a bunch!
Just saw your silent perspective video 😁❤️🔥

@@kangsterizer The last Mahalo vid was scary 🥲
And I thought they only rode park. 😁Turns out they got mad skills all around. Oh yeah, and they're fast. Faster than you, and you and you too.
Bring back berm peak building series 🙏
someone try top this comment
I stopped watching Seth because he stopped building
@@saml4332Same icl

Honestly tho
Berm peak in covid was so good
Literally the best days
Yeah we need to bring it back
For me it was the best thing on Yt ❤️🔥
Dont get me started
COVID was bad, but some damn fine things came out of it as well. I was glued to MTB videos and Cleetus building out his racetrack.
This video was so refreshing and felt just like your old trail building/riding videos, I missed this type of video so much
That dog save was incredible
yeah, his leg and his bike going AROUND oscar is really well played from him - Oscar should give him a treat or seomthing
Had a mini heart attack, so glad the little dude is ok 😱
Seth's skills are underrated. He makes his features look downright comfortable even though they are ABSOLUTELY terrifying. Props to anyone that rides Berm Peak
Dodging Oscar was the most impressive riding in the whole video.
I like that Matt's wearing full upper body armor for Berm Peak. Gettin wise with all those years, and also understands how jank some of the builds are lol
17:54 the most Candian "Oh Yeah" that's ever been oh yeah'd
If I walked into a room at this point I'd think someone was watching porn lol

This video is a good reminder that Seth is a sick rider and can definitely hold his own!
I could ride it, possibly even clear a few things. Then I'd get overconfident and crack my frame. And my ribs.
Me too, then i wake up
@@gilad1908 then there is piss in the bed
Bro everything there is tiny you could clear everything
I’ve been watching Mahalomydude/IFHT for years. I always knew they were good riders, but for some reason this video really made me appreciate just how good they are when they were crushing Seth’s features fairly easily. Loved this Collab btw!
It feels really good watching an old-school riding-at-berm-peak video again. ☺️ Thanks for that, dudes! ✌🏻
13:18 De-bag yourselves... "what'd you call me?!" 😂
I'll say it again, this really does show what an amazing rider that Seth truly is.
I used to watch Pinkbike just for Jason. Really like the guy ! A nice surprise to see him with Seth :)
I ride the North shore a lot. I ride a lot of the same trails as Matt & Jason but I don’t think I could ride Seth’s yard. You can get a lot done on the North shore while keeping your wheels on the ground. Some of Seth’s features are truly unique.
This brings back the core of this channel: sketchiness! Lovin’ it.
As a professional Canadian, I felt that "Oh ya" when the teeter cannon came down in my soul. Good stuff.
I haven't seen Berm Peak in a minute. Crazy to see the wood so aged. I remember when it was all fresh cut lumber.
Maholo my dude and Berm peak. The best two in the biz
This video is like Seth's subtle reminder for everyone that "yes. I did build this stuff and it is still here" haha
Loved seeing Berm Peak again! Would love to see new features built!
Seth: “Welcome to Berm Peak. Please sign these injury waivers as you put on your gear and get your bike set-up.”
Petition for Seth to make a fixed gear flip bike episode. And keep up the great work, love every single upload.
1:34 damn that was CLOSE AF and perfect reaction! 💯
Love these guys, an unexpected but very appreciated collab🙌
Man. I am so excited that Matt and Jason are at Berm Peak!
Finally a berm peak backyard trail video!!
NICE VIDEO, CANT WAIT TO SEE THEIR FILM
Seth is that friend with all the cool toys. The tall bike at the end was funny. Entertaining video for sure!
17:14 looked like a dad looking at his kids like wtf are they doing 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What a collab!
I paused at @9:09 and it's a very unusual hand position from Seth and expressions from Matt and Jason 🤣
I like that those guys come off as nerds instead of the most awesome mountain bike riders ever. They made this video fun.
Someone was watching that doggo, that guys skill and reflexes to dodge a moving dog. A tier rider. 👍🏻
Great post! I'm from the Shore and was always curious how the a-tier guys from here would do there. Great to see the old format make a return. Woukd love to see these types sprinkled in every now and again amoungst the pay-the-bills vids.
Man I can't believe I've been watching Seth for a pretty long time even when he made that small little track in his back yard at the first house
Great collaboration! Two great channels working together. Nice to see I'm not the only one who struggles with challenges.
Dog save was outstanding
3 thing things this channel needs: Kevin, Alex, and trail building/maintaining videos
The MOST requested and MOST awaited collab EVER!!!
0:01 I don't need to see it in person to know the answer is "lol no"
I'm honestly surprised, that Oscar hasn't been banned a lot more and like 2 years earlier...
please keep building trails and bikes please
As lots of people are asking for more building content, but you have said that it is tricky to balance family with work, maybe the next build series could be a climbing frame or treehouse?
I just discovered their channel last week. So good to meet them here!
Hey, good to see you recovering nicely. Im a professional trombone player and we used to use those little ball things to train our airflow!
Those guys are fun! They should totally make their own youtube channel and only ride park.
Oscar heard him say "I look where I don't want to go," he was just trying to herd him left instead of right. Good dog. 👍
this is gold. glad the dog is OK @1:45
Mahalo my dude! My two fav mtb channels together 😊

Mahalomydude rides so fast and so high all they are but speed blur now its like slow mo in Berm peak good job guys
I haven't been loving your latest videos but this restores my love for your channel. well done. Mahalo :)
"I'm gonna do some landscaping, sorry Seth."
"Hey that's my mountain Laurel!!"
Rip Seth's mountain Laurel 😂
What a fun video! Thanks Seth! I hope your shoulder heals quickly!
Jason reactions to the bag coming off was the same every single time LOL!
Yo that photo of Seth off the wall ride is so sick
Great video, really looking forward to this series 👍
Trail dogs summed up in the first 2 minutes lol glad to see Oscar come out unscathed
Two of my favorite No B.S mountain biking channels
That was a great fun video!
Oh snap it's the silent biking dudes!? Didn't even realize until the end lol I just started watching them
No Kevin jump? That’s the most insane jump by far
Great video! Praying for you and your family Seth
Seth those bikes looks amazing glad you did this.
I miss the feature building stuff so this is a nice way to see some of them again while Seth recovers.
Oscar in the dog house! He was being dangerous out there … relaxing at the end of the wood skinny jump line!
That was super cool to watch!
1:41 _"What the dog doing?" xD
The Silent Biking series is the single best thing on UA-cam.
Very boring
I'd love to try and give these features a go on a unicycling. No chance of me hitting the teeter cannon or Kevin jump but I'm hoping snake pit or Elmer Fudd would be doable.
Even if building more trails is not going to happen, I would be very happy to see more videos riding berm peak. Love the videos.
Awesome video! Thank you very much! 🙏
that was so fun to watch!
this is so fun, just yesterday i was watching silent biking and was thinking to myself they really need to go to berm park for one of the episodes
Great content guys!
Thanks Seth. That was fun.
Love to see the trails once again
The oak barrel wall ride could have been called the whiskey wall ride!
That was excellent!
All favourite UA-camrs riding together!
Matt dodging Oscar was probably the most impressive maneuver of this video.
Nice work really sticking with the bags on heads thing 😊 When did the Mahalo My Dude boys change from Trek Slash to Propane?
Propain*
You guys rocked it
Great entertaining Sunday morning content.
Congrats on the 1 million.
No drama drop? These features are legendary please bring more pros and amateurs to try them Seth. Perhaps an enduro invitational at Berm Peak😉
Lucky to survive the deep dark woods with the bags on their heads. Cool break downs of the jumps.
Literally immediately dropped what I was doing to watch, great content!👊

Such good riders. Love it
Hey Seth, could you make a video servicing a spring rear shock? All I can find online is how to service air rear shocks.
Finally a berm peak video!
Thank god Oscar is safe ❤ 1:51
Loved the vid
