As one of the kickstarter backers and someone who uses their Kat Walk C2 everyday, I can say this treadmill has changed the way I play VR. I absolutely love mine and can NEVER go back to just moving with the stick. Walking in VR is something truely special and completes the immersion for me. Plus I have a very limited playspace and the feeling of having infinite roomscale is absolutely amazing!

VR newbie myself, just got the Quest 3S, and this treadmill is way beyond my budget, but thoroughly enjoyed watching the entirety of this review. I hope someday a more portable and adorable model will come in the near future. I also got VR to help with weight loss and fitness myself and my brain also gets too dulled out with actual treadmills. It's awesome how much VR gaming can make you forget you're burning calories! Good luck on your fitness journey, definitely following you along the way.
Thank you! That was a great review! 58-year-old gamer here with a meta-quest two VR set. All to play VR Skyrim. I have 650 mods on my Skyrim PC game and I have a heavily modded sky VR with a hard cable wired into the back, my VR set. Now I just gotta find room for a Katwalk! Skyrim forever! Fus Ro Dah!!
Just bought mine using the fire sale. Used your code since it was the biggest discount I could find anywhere. Thanks, man. I've been getting great arm workouts with VR via wearable weights on my wrists and forearms, but legs have been lacking beyond squats 'cause I live in an apartment built like a hallway. This will handily fix that AND solve my motion sickness issues when I move with stick AND just let me have that much more immersion.
Great review, it reflects my experience perfectly . Got a C2 used for a very good price and it totally transformed my gaming experience. Initially I needed a little bit of getting used to the walking style, especially not to lean forward too much, as the walking is a lot easier then. Also its not plug and play, it requires some steps, things need to be considered, started in specific ways etc. But the freedom it gives me, to move freely, fight, run away, not worrying about my surroundings, is amazing . When games get intense, no worrying any more about hitting sth. I simply cant play walking oriented games any more without it. Also it feels secure, and im a large dude, at 1.95 (6.6 i think) and 125 kg - but getting lighter already after 20km in games :) . Its a beautiful, well crafted device, that gives me tons of joy
Love the review ❤❤❤ I wear my belt higher on my waist. For women, i recommend wearing it on the smallest part of your waist or it'll ride up. Isn't it so awesome how you can get so into a game that you forget you're exercising 🎉

This was one of the first reviews I had seen on the KatVR I’ve been looking at this for a long time. Then started looking at the UA-cam videos. I’m so excited to get mine. I ordered the C2+ because of the seat, which I figure I’m gonna need to take a few breaks while playing. I’m not as young as I used to be LOL.
There are also plenty of games where you go from walking to either riding a horse, flying a spaceship, or even just sitting on a bench or train. Hell, with UEVR you can play Red Dead Redemption in VR now!!
I have been on the fence for a while now and this video really makes me want to get one 😅I just can't justify the price right now. But hoping to get one eventually, thanks for this video!
As a man who weighs only 185lbs. at 5'11" I consider it a point of pride being able to lift things that I shouldn't be able to and am 100% on your side when it comes to lifting it out of the box the hard way.
What’s the difference in the c2 core and the c2plus. I see they have the seat attachment you can buy for core now. I know the c2plus has led lights and haptics but is the range of motion similar in both?
Can you strafe or side stepping in game with such treadmill?I heard these kind of treadmill cannot detect strafing correctly. Players have to go straight and then do awkward turns to achieve side stepping .
I 1000% support anything that gets you to do exercise, but damn, the price tag is no joke lol. 7:37 this is exactly what I'm hoping to achieve with my project (please take a look if you have time I would love for you to try it), I have the same with climbing, I end up so unbelievable tired, without even realising, at some point I can't just hold anything anymore, that is the best kind of exercise.
@ That's exactly what got me to open my wallet and get one. Right there. For a toy it's expensive. For a piece of gym equipment you'll actually use, it's pretty reasonable. I have it in the same room I am putting my rowing machine and exercise bike, both of which can also utilize the headset.
Im worried about how it forces you to lean forward while moving. I think its a bad gait to develop. Have you felt anything off after long use? It looks fun.
I was worried about that, too. A different creator video shows that you can set the software to "Controller Overrides" and use the controller in conjunction. You could back up with the stick if you had to in a hurry. The same video showed you how to properly run and jump without bringing yourself to a halt in-game. You have to almost run-skip on your jump. "Controller Overrides" feature sold me since there are times you won't be able to f around.
