As one of the kickstarter backers and someone who uses their Kat Walk C2 everyday, I can say this treadmill has changed the way I play VR. I absolutely love mine and can NEVER go back to just moving with the stick. Walking in VR is something truely special and completes the immersion for me. Plus I have a very limited playspace and the feeling of having infinite roomscale is absolutely amazing!

VR newbie myself, just got the Quest 3S, and this treadmill is way beyond my budget, but thoroughly enjoyed watching the entirety of this review. I hope someday a more portable and adorable model will come in the near future. I also got VR to help with weight loss and fitness myself and my brain also gets too dulled out with actual treadmills. It's awesome how much VR gaming can make you forget you're burning calories! Good luck on your fitness journey, definitely following you along the way.

I've been getting great arm workouts with VR via wearable weights on my wrists and forearms, but legs have been lacking beyond squats 'cause I live in an apartment built like a hallway. This will handily fix that AND solve my motion sickness issues when I move with stick AND just let me have that much more immersion.

Great review, it reflects my experience perfectly . Got a C2 used for a very good price and it totally transformed my gaming experience. Initially I needed a little bit of getting used to the walking style, especially not to lean forward too much, as the walking is a lot easier then. Also its not plug and play, it requires some steps, things need to be considered, started in specific ways etc. But the freedom it gives me, to move freely, fight, run away, not worrying about my surroundings, is amazing . When games get intense, no worrying any more about hitting sth. I simply cant play walking oriented games any more without it. Also it feels secure, and im a large dude, at 1.95 (6.6 i think) and 125 kg - but getting lighter already after 20km in games :) . Its a beautiful, well crafted device, that gives me tons of joy

You could back up with the stick if you had to in a hurry. The same video showed you how to properly run and jump without bringing yourself to a halt in-game. You have to almost run-skip on your jump. "Controller Overrides" feature sold me since there are times you won't be able to f around.

Hey Duddy, thank to your videos guy! So glad for you about this New VR tool on your collection! I expect some interesting gameplay demonstration (like Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077 and others)! i live in France (afro-descendant like you) and I'm on the way to buy a Kat VR Core to! Before that, i've some questions! Could you make some games test with the UEVR Injector catalog, i would know if it is playable on the KAT (thanks a lot)! I know that the movements on the treadmill are physical and i've see on UA-cam a video from a small and ancient creator (22 followers), but he had modified her KatVR shoes for to walk more easily (this is it : ua-cam.com/video/CV6gzzfCzRo/v-deo.htmlsi=O4n97htc4CDTacwX ). In fact, he put spray silicon on the treadmill surface before (almost) every sessions and he remove all the cotton velcros plate under the shoes (like you) but replaced by velcro "plastic" face in a great part of central sole! if you make this test can you give some responses about this! i'm so curious (i know), because we have the same body, if it's work you it also good for me! Well, congratulations for this cool buying and see you on youtube (or maybe on multiplayer Vr treadmill game if i buy one) ! au revoir
