I "WAS" the YYZ Tower controller who is first heard in this clip and then clears Air France to land at a later point, I took over the North Tower position at about the 5:30 mark of this video. I retired in Sept 2020. Kind of a nice memory!
Thanks Michael! Glad you enjoyed and happy retirement!
Can you confirm that radio's always have this terrible quality? In most of such videos theres always some people I just cant understand cuz the radio quality is so damn bad.. but with focused hearing you can still make out what they want, then theres others where you dont understand anything but static
@@Drnken229 i was just wondering the same thing…
@@Drnken229 Although I've only flown in a small Cessna, they're somewhat like this. Some people are easily readable and some are very scratchy and loud. Other than that yes the quality is basically this bad.
@@dirte7423 And Im supposed to trust my life to people that, by high chance, cant even understand each other..
This entire clip is perfect. From cloud surfing to a snowy Toronto, then a manually flown approach leading to a smooth landing, we need more A350 clips.
Couldn't agree more :)
7:45
Any pilot can easily manually land like that with that hud. HUD makes everything easy.
@@krain.8245 your point being?
I honestly love the A350 flight deck. Looks like a bloody space ship. So modern and advanced, and also the neatness Airbus design.
Definitely nicer the A320 old fashioned MCDU
I can't imagine what cockpits will look like in 30 years...
It's pretty awesome to see a full avionics board nearly all glass.
@@75yomu There will be probably no more cockpits :D
@@quokka8687 😣
As a Torontonian that speaks both French and English, the fact that the pilots are talking in French and ATC in English is amazing, and of course, it's in Toronto! Please make more Toronto vids :)!!! Fantastique video! Magnifique! 3:25
You're welcome! I hope I will come back!
Interesting. I always thought all ATC comms must be in standard English everywhere to avoid confusion.
As a french , it's so funny , they speak french and english .Their accent is not that bad compared to others 😅
@@brocklesnar2722

Amazing
watched so many landings from the gas station off Airport, lol , years ago a cubana il62 shattered a pane of glass on the gas station on takeoff lol, it was loud as fuck, haha ( the owner said it hadn't been properly mounted, the reverb shook us so much it fell off).. that was early 90's , when noise restrictions weren't as stringent I guess... didn't see another IL62 after that.. 23 is still a good place to watch landings if they winds are right ..

I only recognized the 427 northbound
I ,live right next to 427 the exit is rathburn road
Use me as an agree button for the A350 for having the best modern cockpit
Nope, the A350 is sexy on the outside but the cockpit is bland and looks boring.
The 787 and 747 have the best looking cockpits for me.
Contended Beatle nope, as much as the A350 looks sexy on the outside, its cockpit is exactly fitting to its exterior. It matches the aircrafts design theme. That said, i like the 787 and 747-8 cockpits too but the fact that the 787 Family and the 737 MAX Family have no longer the central EICAS panel in the center makes it kind of a bummer. You have to share it on the multi-function display with either the First Officer side or the Captain side, usually with the Pilot-Monitoring’s side. I like having equality between the cockpit. :)
Sapphire Fazle Rahman I also hate the FMC on the 787 is same as 777 just in a computer screen. At least A380/A350 they made it bigger with many more functions
A380 has a nicer cockpit ._.
Most modern state-of-the-art airliner cockpit is A220. The less buttons and knobs, the better from a safety perspective. The fewer buttons the lower the possibility for pilots to screw things up.
You know it's gonna be butter when you hear "5"
Armand Esteller yeah
True

Just a call out it does not mean the landing will be butter
such a smooth and perfect landing. Such a starch contrast in comparison from my CRJ-900 with no fly-by-wire requiring many fine adjustments in trim and pitch in anything outside of calm conditions meanwhile the fly-by-wire of the 350 allow the pilot to set the aircraft pitch and immediately let go of the side stick with its fancy auto-trim. Definitely jealous!
This was just wonderful! Thank you! " Great, isn't it?" "Indeed.".
Thank you!
Finally! The much anticipated A350 clip from HPAF!!
Haha, thanks!
I haven't been back in Toronto for years, having moved to Europe a long while back. This video was what triggered the most intense sense of homesickness that I've ever felt in my life.
It's interesting how the brain works. No offence but when I saw the city I literally thought it looked like the most boring and generic place ever 😅 though for others like yourself, it is home.
@@Gantics-Antics from the sky from the vid? or did you visit toronto? you can't see much of the city here, the area near the airport is very nondescript. but you do recognize the english/french announcements and the distinctive accents, the snow-covered mostly industrial landscape on approach, etc, and remember that this is what you see and hear every time you approach home.
So glad I found your channel! As a non-pilot, just an aviation enthusiast, I enjoy how you labeled the airport and the controls. Makes the videos so interesting for me. And you pilots! OMG. What an amazing group of men and women. It's definitely not like driving a car but you make it look so easy and it's not. I know you have instruments to help you find an airport, but I never can see them until almost landing. Ha. Thank you for sharing your video.
ILS systems are certainly pretty useful when you cant see the runway lol
I've flown air france many times. But never in the gorgeous and sexy a350. Flown many 777's into CDG. Amazing legendary 777's, will eventually have to be replaced. Great video. Seamless ILS approach.
8:47 Wow the autobrake announciator was quite angry!
Yep, that new announce is a bit agressive...
@@HighPressureAviationFilms It is.
High Pressure Aviation Films you only get it if you forget the second button press.
That's how they teach pilots that do dumb shit, or make intention clear, or fail to confirm
THE AUTO BRAKE IS OFF, LIKE, I HAD TO DO IT, YOU SHOULD BE DOING IT, WHY IN HELL ARE YOU NOT PRESSING THE BUTTON
My hometown. Beautiful approach and landing! Thanks for showing this!
Incredible privilege to fly a wide body even as a first officer. Amazing videos, thanks for uploading !
A350: Gentle moved side-stick
777: *AGGRESSIVE YOKE SHAKING*
This deserves the BACOY (*B*est *A*irbus *C*omment *O*f the *Y*ear) Award
Both shakes same feels same . Its just your brain that side stick shakes less.
SALTS
Yes I noticed how little input was put in to the side yoke . Incredible for such a big aircraft .
8:47 B777 win when AGGRESSIVE AUTO BRAKE OFF
Comment ils parlent entre eux cela a l air tellement facile. Bravo ...the way they speak together make me feel like if this job is so easy. Incredible. Thanks from France!
I can't read French, but whatever it says it must be something good.
I love hearing you speak in French and your French accent when speaking English. My family name use to be French before the Norman Conquest.
Wow such a long taxi on 15L! Beautiful landing, beautiful plane and beautiful country. Cheers!
Yesss I've been waiting for a Toronto video! Keep them coming :)
You're welcome!
This entire clip is perfect.
That was a SMOOTH landing. Amazing. Beautiful video.
WOW, some of the best aviation videos on UA-cam! Thank you for sharing and always happy landings! Today I´ve started with my own aviation channel from a pilot´s point of view. Keep up your great work! Cheers, Pilot Wanderlust
Legend has it ground still not clear him for parking
oof
yupp he is still on the taxi way
Toronto is the worst airport in the world.
Cloud Surfing at 1:20
That was a silky smooth landing 👏
7:56
"parfaite... SPOILEGH!!"
Teamwork at it's finest, keep up the good work.
That's a magnificently smooth landing.
Finally, a video of my city!
looks flippin cold. It's currently 16 degrees celsius in Cape Town and I'm freezing :D
Honestly, I’m happy that u rode my favorite airplane in the whole airplane kingdom
A350 interiors are just perfect. Its a s-class of planes
Nothing cooler than a pilot rocking a Britling Aerospace on the wrist!
indeed!
Landing at 6:40
@@mukkuimamafbhm4193 No, i am still on 777. Just had the opportunity to make this video last year.
@@HighPressureAviationFilms Which one do you prefer to pilot if I may be the one of the many that asks this?
It's so amazing how that small sidestick moves that huge flying machine
Theoretically, the PS4 controller can fly it either
Yeah ..right. He didn't move it almost, and the whole plane moved sideways.?
Yes. but did you notice the lag from input to action?
It is not just the side stick. It is the huge engines that propel the plane forward.
@@music-jn3wn nope. Large aircraft move slowly
One of my most favorite cockpit landings!
thank you!
A piece of art aircraft, great pilots, amazing video.
Beautiful video. From clouds to snowy Mississauga and the landing.
Merci!
So awesome and beautiful. What a smooth landing! I love to fly!
Side cam shots from the cockpit are excellent.
This channel is a gem 💎
Most gentle control inputs I've ever seen
Magnifique!
Merci Baptiste!
L'a350 est vraiment un avion juste magnifique
A350 cockpit looks amazing, so futuristic
I landed in Toronto on July 1, 1981. I flew from Bangalore, India to join my wife with whom I had married in Bangalore on June 8, 1981. Happy memories of Toronto
Man that was smooth.
Always fun to see the home airport on the channel! Great video!
You're welcome!
When the captain says "parfait" = perfect . Upon touchdown you know it's gonna be iconic 🎉
Indeed!
That was fantastic. Thank you for the video 😊👍
Thank you!
What a lovely bird it is! Top notch hand flying there;)
This video was filmed and edited very well.
Thanks Chris!
Love your videos - very high quality and educational too. Thank you and keep them coming!
I enjoy going to Toronto, it is always nice flying into this large city.
Woow my favourite aircraft 😍😍😍 thanks for the video😆😆
omg the accent is like Inspector Clouseau at his best!
its amazing how much the cockpit has changed from primarily all screens and electronic and cameras aswell
Amazing stick handling!
What a wonderful aircraft is the A350🤩
The 350 has a beautiful cockpit layout.
Amazing airplane, amazing airport, amazing airline? This is too amazing 😁🇫🇷🇨🇦✈️
Well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
Very smooth and soft landing.
I love your channel, coz it explains everything. i wish i could be a pilot
Even I want are be a pilot
Those simulators just keep getting better and better.🤭
Nice landing !!
I can watch this for hours
such a smooth landing
Like the way the FO fly, with feather hands on controls. Kudos
Really nice catch. Your videos are so sharp. You record in 4k?
Yes, everything is in 4K
Very good video ! Very interresting !
YAY I live in TOand YYZ Is where I go spotting so I'm so glad you made a video here
I love aviation period. Boeing and Airbus both make great planes. I want to fly on the A350 and 787 ASAP and the 777X when it enters service. Lucky enough to be born just late enough to fly the 747 a few times before they were pretty much gone from American carriers. The acceleration from those 4 engines was amazing. Would love to fly a 747-8 also. The craziest plane for me was one time coming home to California from Ohio, we flew out of Cleveland and I was in early elementary school so my memory was just good enough to remember getting to fly on what had to be one of the last DC8s in the United fleet. Had a female pilot for the hop to Chicago and I'll always remember the landing because my dad made a joke about how hard she put that thing don on the runway lol.
Flying with a joystick looks kinda weird. Great video.
Another great video. Enjoyed the cockpit captions.
That beautiful ambience, wow
what a beautiful butter landing
A350's cockpit is beautiful
Nice landing. Now taxi for 20 minutes!
Excellent Video-Enjoyed
that was incredible
Fantastic piece of work. Thank you.
You're welcome!
I lv it when whatever aircraft im flying on as a passenger, when we r going through the clouds or really close to them, u really get a sense of the speed the aircraft is doing. Also, i lv the cockpit windows from the outside on the 350, they look really cool and make me think of the Comet cockpit windows. Ive not yet flown on the 350 and im looking 4ward 2 doing so, most likely with Virgin or BA also looking 4ward 2 flying on the 787.
Unreal landing
Intersting informations from the pilot to first officer regarding the use of stick and handling the aircraft during taxi in snow conditions...i loved it ❤
That looks complicated to know the terminology and have the knowledge to fly, but it is fascinating to watch.
A perfect example of cockpit communication management, bravo messiers, a school example. Skills, coordination and ....a fanrastic Aircraft, even though i prefere the 1000 version...
I know this is old, but I'm finding the "tool tips" describing the cockpit controls very helpful. Thanks.
Those FS 2020 graphics are pretty good
@@nicolasdanton3567 its a joke idiot
They are, even the pilots look real!!!
Lovely smooth landing, I'm very impressed👍👍👍👌
It was so perfect i hardly noticed him landing
I like your organisation of pilotage that's amazing
great landing... butter!
