Hey Matt and Tim, I've been watching you two for many years and I would admit that the majority of my fishing knowledge today is thanks to you two. From swimbaits to finesse fishing, you guys have been my source of knowledge. I seriously believe that if it weren't for you guys my passion for fishing would've died off a long time ago. I have started posting fishing videos here on UA-cam hoping to get something going, but college and life has been in the way. I'm hoping to start something as you guys did many years ago. A personal message to Tim, it is amazing how far you've improved talking to a camera. I remember watching you in your older videos and it always seemed like it was difficult for you to express your knowledge. It's no longer a thing now, but this was just something I noticed. A personal message to Matt, your knowledge and passion about fishing fuels up my passion. I know you've done it all if you can laugh it off after losing a 10 pounder. You two still continue to preach the same knowledge while teaching me something new everytime. I really appreciate Tactical's work and what you guys have done for the fishing community. I'm hoping you guys continue to teach us for the many years to come.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes there is definitely a learning curve when talking to just a camera. It was really weird for me at first lol - Tim
Tim, this was an awesome video! What some people may not realize is how much time it takes to catch fish. You just don't step out on the water and catch the big one. It takes time trying to figure out where the fish are and what they want to bite. The emotions you showed just sucks us into your video because we feel the same way when we get a bite or land a PB. However, you also showed us how to handle defeat when a fish gets away. You may not realize this but it is important seeing the way you act, what you are fishing with and how you reel in the bait. I almost forgot, the respect you showed for the other anglers out on the water is amazing. I fish in a kayak and having someone give you the space to fish without pushing you out of the way means a lot. Thanks for a great video.
Tim, really appreciate giving the kayak guys space. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been fished over here in Clear Lake. Mostly tournament guys too, thing is I am often fishing tournaments too. IDK Clear Lake is getting bad or just ethics going down the drain. I’d like to blame it on the young guys but it’s not the case, lol. Glad to see the respect, miss the CL vids and seeing you checking licenses. Tight lines
Crazy Greg Blanchard the only other fishing channel I like on UA-cam really dropped a raw video today also. Lots of UA-cam today for me. Love it. Awesome guys.
I loved everything about this video. I just renewed my fishing license and will be hitting the water on Friday. Thank you both for giving your time and energy into teaching and motivating so many of us to be better anglers. I'll have to get the Jackhammer. I've been on the fence for two years because of price, but this video convinced me to bite the bullet and get a few.
Love the uncut fishing videos - learn a lot from them. I would be great if you could do a few more casts to the side of the boat so we can see the action you are using with the rod and reel - especially with different baits. I usually grab some popcorn and queue up the video on the 85" 4K tv - looks awesome.
Thanks Tim, day off caught this doing laundry and rigging up for the afternoon. Ice just came off of water! Hope yours and Matt’s family and you guys are doing fine. Should do a live with your wife! She could answer our questions as you fish then switch!
Must have just missed you Tim. I was at this "unmapped" lake last Saturday hoping to run into you since I knew you were down here and you've been here before. I would love to have the chance to actually run into you and Matt someday!
awesome content. i know you have plenty of great fisheries near you, but if you are ever in Kentucky, stop at a small lake called Lake Beshear. It is one of the coolest lakes I've fished and very diverse. Also has some really great size when it comes to largemouth.
First of all, I had no idea to be a real fisherman you had to keep a mini Sombrero tucked away "just in case" Second of all 7.95-8.15 lb'r, is an 8 lb bass all day. Don't cheat yourself Third of all, I appreciate the love for the kayakers. I'm a kayak fisherman myself (no trolling motor or pedal drive, just me and a paddle) and I hate when I'm working an area or towards an area and a boat comes flying around me and stops right on the spot I'm trying to get to, like I'm not even there. Lastly, I love all the videos, and I've learned so much. Thanks and keep up the great work
When you took a break after that big fish , you should have cast back to the same spot as they school in same size pods. Once I made five casts and caught five 5lbsers on one small cut in the cattails. You could have got the 8,9 and 10 that were there with her.
Can you guys do more spotted bass videos? The lake where I am (lake Lanier in GA) doesn’t have a healthy large mouth population and I really only go for spotted bass.
With my chatterbaits i run a punch stop and then cut my tag short. The stop protects the knot somewhat but mostly just keeps it from catching grass Same concept!
We live here and don’t actually fish it much really because of traveling and fishing a lot of other lakes. We will put more time in on Chick very soon.
I know that these are extremely annoying to edit and take a long time to make, but they’re so good y’all! It’s basically like we’re there fishing with you, in a sense. In a lot of instances, this is much more entertaining to me than the pro tournaments.
Great job, Tim. Wish I could fish that well; I often get skunked even after 6-8 hours 🙄. With that said, have you or Matt ever got skunked (entire day with no catch or bite)?
I know when ever I fish I play good rock music. I never used chatterbaits before seem like they work ok. I just got crankbaits an lipless crankbaits. I need to start working on using my jerkbaits to get better using those. Since I don't have a boat or portable inflatable raft I got shallow diving jerkbaits but I need to work on using those. I'm a bank fisherman so that's why I'm using shallow crankbaits. Also only place that's close to me I can get to is the river 15 to 20 minutes walk from my house.
I watch your you tube channel from central Ontario around the Trent Severn water system. Will the info you talk about for fishing bass work in the cooler water of Ontario?
I think a great updated video topic should be leaders. Talking points could be: -floro vs. mono -when to use and not use. -preferred brands. -leader length -Connection knots.
Watched the whole thing during classes today. Had all my work done and was bored. Could you possibly do a update on what you have changed on your champ?
thanks for the great long "uncut" video, can you tell me your setup you have for your Mega Live , what bracket ,etc do you use. I am trying to get one (backordered everywhere ) ,But with different setups out there , just wanted your opinion . thanks in advance !
Is there a certain time of day or weather condition for a certain particular area to fish or for a certain area to be more active? If so how do you normally fish those area?
good video bro, just wondering what shorts you are wearing? sorry ive been a subscriber for a while but fell off on my fishing hobby and getting back into it.. not sure if your sponsered by a certain company and if AFTCO is the brand same as your shirt?... they just look comfortable for a day of fishing.. if you could let me know id appreciate it.
Tim or Matt, What’s your preference for depth(s) when fishing the MB Vitalian? I know to burn it and pause ;-) wondering about depths for the 1 3/8 oz -thanks-got the Gantrell (go slower) and V and trying better utilize them. Thanks
That straight tail style trailer like the Spunk Shad or Super fluke has a better erratic, hunting action. The paddle tail trailer seems to make more vibration in darker water colors the fish can find easier. For me, a straight tail style trailer like the Spunk Shad, Super Fluke, or Gambler Komodo works better in clearer water while a paddle tail like the Swimming Zako, or a swimbait like a E-Z Swimmer or Keitech is better in the dark, tannic water of Florida
I like the uncut video, but I thought you leaned a lil hard on the hammer ? IDK, I'd had to cut it up a bit ! Waking or slow rolling a big ol spinner bait over and out of the grass on the windy sides. If you look, you can see the channels the water is smoother. I'd had to blasted a Rattle Trap along the edges. Wind never hurt the frogs on Long Point, Lake Erie, Canada side. I fish the windy side !
Why does the full moon make the fish different and what is different 😅 its not any different the tides the sun penetration water temp feeding times are different

That color jackhammer is quickly becoming my favorite, I pair it with an electric shad rage swimmer with the boot cut off. That setup here is money

I like it!
Finally some good movies in 2022
Was sooo excited when Tactical moved to East Tennessee and they still haven’t broke down Lake Chickamauga haha!
We live here and don’t actually fish it much really because of traveling and fishing a lot of other lakes. We will put more time in on Chick very soon.
i wonder if i was a co angler if i could use a 3/4 ounce chatterbait and slow roll if they are 20 feet deepon on bottom
Nice fish!
Great job TIM !!!!!
Chatter donk slammed it🐟
Matt and Tim you missed my comment on your GEORGIA video it is epic 😎
Thank you David!
Awesome catches and a real video! Would be nice if you all would tell what lakes you are fishing though.
Dang stop distracting me from school Tim!

Why are most spinning reels left handed retrieve (i know most can be switched) while baitcasters are mostly right hand retrieve??
How do You and Matt choose between a California and a No-Jack Swim Jig?

What action is best for chatterbait? Medium, medium heavy, or heavy ? Or do you use crankbait rod and what action Tim or Matt ?
You want something in the MH range with a more moderate action 👍
