It kind of looks like a longear sunfish, which is a common forage! And it also looks like a spawning bluegill ! That color is awesome I love it!
Bass more often then not will hit something they've never seen. Its instinct to eat everything they can, especially if it appears running away.

I am 19 years old and been fishing for the last 2ish years.
I’ve learnt so much about freshwater fishing, especially for bass, however have really watched almost every single video you have posted.

If you're talking about the bluegill he said it is the toxic bluegill but I haven't watched the video all the way through so I might be a different lure

Ty you are taking advantage of the fish this time year there are no fry for them to eat or insects!!! You throw a stick with a hook on the rod & reel and they would bite!!! If it locks like fish of different kind & out place.....BINGO THEY BITE IT!!!! This why if you had some dried grubs that ya feed chickens, 5 to 10 lbs. bag you could be their hero!!!
