We don’t have cold water here in SoCal anymore…..air temps are in the 70’s here in Jan….bass are still biting lipless cranks very well!! Having said this, my fav blade is the Binsky! It always catches fish for me. The Damiki “helicopters” in the air more times than not on the cast.
Long time subscriber here and can attest these techniques work for me in the winter! I never use to fish any metal baits in the winter there outside of a blade. Adding the other two really has paid off. Also does Matt still offer guiding services or a way to come meet and fish with you guys?
Best days on the water have always been in January and February. Might go a few hours without a bite while I look for them, but once you find them they’re typically feeding heavy and you can just sit in one spot catching them one after another! Many times I’ve found them from a single fish that busted on top. Go over it with traditional sonar and see the mother load.
What’s wrong with just using real language? You think not typing the “t” after “a” is saving you precious moments in your life? And what is even the purpose of “trynna”?.. Making yourself look ignorant or uneducated is not in your best interests…

Spoons used to be an awesome bait for me. But after years of information shared by people voluntarily, it has become something I never think about anymore
@ no, I along with several friends caught them like crazy easy on metal baits in early 2000’s up Until about 5 years ago and now I don’t even keep one tied on. Same for my buddies that used to also whack them good on them.

Should look into some of the lighter slow pitch jigging jigs in 30 to 60 grams Probably be perfect for when bass are really deep.
Thanks for the information as always. Where is your favorite place to throw a blade bait?
Do you ever use the big 1 oz. Silver Buddy?
Great video man! 👌

Meaning you can’t catch em on spoons where you live anymore or you’ve just heard about so many other baits that you don’t use spoons anymore?

I am just putting in a couple of orders for more metal!
