    They sound really tight here. This live show sounds so close to the recorded tracks, something that isn't all that common when bands play live.

    JHC how the hell did I miss this concert! I lived right down the road from Arnhem, coulda been in my back yard practically! Must have been the marital break up that preoccupied my noodle! Damn shame I didn't get to see them than! Tot Ziens Eddy, RIP!!!

      Je hebt het gemist het omdat niet het wist. Behalve een paar fanclubleden die allemaal 1 introducee mee mochten nemen. En ik geloof dat zij het pas een week van te voren te horen kregen via de NL fanclub in de tijd dat er nog nieuwsbrieven waren.
      Pas een paar uur voor de uitzending van Countdown cafe kwam het naar buiten, toen get binnen uiteraard al vol was.

    I'm from the Netherlands and I loooove Arnhem! My both grands come from there so I have gelders blood lol...I'm so honored that i'm dutch when know Edward and Alex are dutch like me wooooooh! Love from me guys! Stay positive that's how he wanted it I'm sure!❤🖤❤🖤

      @@ColtraneTaylor parfon me, I know that! That was early 60s the Netherlands changed a lot since 70s 80s, what do you know dude? Never saw interviews of them being also proud to be dutch??? They love their country even wirh that black chapter in their lives! How much racism is still alive in the USA??? Plus I'm partly Indonesian/Javanse too! Although small percent, Edward came a lot in the Netherlands and met my ex partner which plays as good as him, he took dutch presents for Alex and Edward they still loved things from their birth country! Do you homework before attacking!!!

    Luxor is a beautiful venue however they probably had bigger rehearsal spaces in the past. They started playing in rich kids backyards with flyers to gather audience. You can tell playing a smaller gig didn't affect their motivation.

    This is rare in that Alex is actually seen playing , no sun glasses... Or darkness ... Every show I've seen on UA-cam etc..he is in the way background .... Or maybe I just never noticed

      It’s the homeland. His and Eddies birthplace. He probably wanted more “upfront” exposure there. Plus friends and family were there.

      HC PunkRockhxx Yes and their Father was born in the Netherlands also. But I’m certain was Dutch/Indo also. My Wife was born in the Netherlands and is Dutch/Indo. Her parents were born in Bandung East Java. And were friends of The Van Halen family. Yesterday my Mother in Law told me she knew Valarie well even. Eddies first wife. They all went to Avio a local Dutch club in Southern California. The Van Halen’s played there often as teens.

    I will never understand why the fuck Van Halen were opening for Bon Jovi during this time...never. VH were still massive and shouldn't have been opening for anyone. I lost track of Bon Jovi after "Slippery" came out. Were they that huge in '95?

    Van Halen was and always will be with Roth. If you got kicked out of your family and another guy was brought in, would it be the same family, no it wouldn't. You can't replace a family member and expect it to be original, authentic and true to the birth right. Van Hagar rode on the coat tails of Roth as in 1984 was the breakthrough Roth era launch into true stardom. You cant change that no matter who you like or what you say.

    the Balance album was the only good album with Sammy. They finally found their chemistry. Minus the gay commercial tracks

      I grew to appreciate 5150. It's a good album.
      OU812 was very good despite what the bozo critics say.
      F.U.C.K had some decent songs in addition to great guitar work. Balance was so-so but the Human's Being song might be the best Eddie/Sammy collaboration

      The Albums with Sammy are not bad. 5150 aged very well. F.U.CK. too. I personally liked OU812. As for Balance. The 7th Seal is a very good song. So is the solo song. Everything else seems like Warner Brothers and Sammy had a lot of say.
