    This video is to give you some extra info on configuring how to setup the CM3 throttle.

    I’m a bit confused. I set up all my virpil boxes and throttles by updating the firmware making sure all the buttons and axis were recognised and calibrated. Saved the profile then closed the application. Then in MSFS2020 I just assigned the function to a button or switch. I take it this is the old version of the software as apart from the guarded switches I have had very little trouble. As for the guarded switches I dont really understand how they configure. I wanted to use them for the h145 engines and make them switch into flight mode and then put the guard back over but that makes the switch function in the opposite way so I dont use them. I can’t see anything online where they show these being set up individually. But the virpil gear is fantastic. Well built and great functionality. And great customer service. Very fast. 👍👍

      I'll have to investigate into the two-way switches again, but im pretty sure i solved that problem by switching the button to on/on instead of an on/off setup. But I'll check.

    Great video -- clear and easy to follow. Will be super handy when my CM3 arrives later today and I attempt to set everything up.
    Regarding the 5-way flaps switch: the P-51 has a five-position flap lever, so that may be a good use case.
    Cheers and thanks again for the excellent instructions.

    I'm still using my dusty old Warthog throttle but loading a firmware package and calibrating my WarBRD with the Virpil software is a pain in the ass so these guides are invaluable for more complex scenarios.

    is their a way to make the right throttle slider (middle finger) a zoom that is all the way up is normal view and down full zoom view???

    • @Hav0k
      @Hav0k  7 місяців тому

      Yes, this is a pretty easy thing to configure. The in-game keybinds have an option for zoom that you can set up.
      It just needs the game to recognize it's axis.

    Any chance to set up rotary button on Virpil CM-3 throttle as rudder (axis)

    • @Hav0k
      @Hav0k  2 роки тому

      Honestly I never considered that. But I believe that it would have to be set up with the slider on the throttle grip. The other rotary dials are encoders that only identify as button presses either direction. The slider on the throttle grip is an actual axis that would work.

    Hey loved this video I just bought a cm3 throttle and this helped me a bunch. Did you ever make the video showing how to set the idle detents?
    Also is it possible to change the mode selector to set it to the despenser rotary selector?

    • @Hav0k

      Unfortunately, I never got around to making that. But I definitely need to. And yes, there is a way to switch the mode selector to each be a keybinding. It's actually pretty simple as well. I'll look into doing that

    I know a lot of you guys are trying to help by posting these videos, but a few bits of advice for us Virpil noobs..
    1. Speak LOUDER, or move mic closer!
    2. Go a little slower
    3. Make screen a lil bigger so we can really see what your doing..
    4. Quit "topic jumping" around WHILE your going through the step your actually trying to show, wait till you've shown the step first lol...

      @Hav0k  Рік тому +1

      Sounds good. I'll take the advice and apply it to my future videos! Thanks for the feedback!
