I have the CM2 Throttle and Panel 1. How do you set up the advanced LEDs, where they change colour when pressed? I noticed it on joysticks in a previous video too... Keep the videos coming.
I'm upgrading from my Constellation Deltas to Alphas. I'm also changing out my MT-50 to Virpils newest offering. Breakdowns like this provide great reference points for those that have never messed with the software, and those who need a refresher. As always, thanks for the informative content NOOBIFIER.
Hi. I have the CM 2 throttle and would be very interested in knowing if/when you’ll be coming out with a more detailed tutorial on the LED buttons. Thanks in advance.
Nice, thank you for doing this video! A while back you suggested you might do a more advanced dive into what could be done with the Virpil software and the throttle, thanks for getting to that!! Also, I'm 99.9% sure after CIG mentioned the possibility of supporting the tobii eye tracker that you planning a video review for that. I look forward to it as well. There are videos out showing the tobii in action, but very very few (1 that I found) comparing and contrasting it to trackIR. That gentleman was a Eurotruck content maker, so I'd very much love to hear what you have to say on the two devices given you play the same games I do!! Great video! And grats again on hitting 60k subs!
Hey Noobifirer do you have a detailed video on how to set up the alpha constellation for Start Citizen. i can't get my joy sticks settings to work. Also they keep reversing inputs. I also use joy to key Thank you for all the videos.. too.
Bought CM2/ panel 2, a joystick and rudder pedals and had 0 issues configuring all of those with all of them plugged in. The biggest potential problem that could happen is if you click the wrong thing in the list of devices. Just do things slowly and you'll be fine
this is a nice video. do we have one on precise detent tuning? Im trying to find the center deadzone and I cant quite get it the way i want to work with power and even axis. Not sure if im doing something wrong.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 yeah unfortunately star citizen isnt the best for that. But i did just download the newest firmware and tinkered a bit with it seems to have helped. thanks. Also for anyone whos interested I have / was able to get a 3d print that i modified a bit to add a physical Detent Mod to the virpil Throttle it works really well.
"Play with the LEDs." Of course. This is clearly the most vital part of the configuration process. Correct RGB config increases response time by 15-20%. Without this you're just muckin abart. True Scientific Fact (newly minted).
good simple overview, but for a basic setup video, probably should've covered how to slave devices together, considering thats how most people are going to use multiples of Virpil devices
Noobifier :) Did you ever get into advance LED controls? I'm trying to find information about controlling the LED on a button by pressing it. I have a button configured as soft.toggle and i'd like the RGB to reflect its ON OFF state by two different colours. I think you said it was scripting or something?
Heads up You said 42 colour (color) options in this video. If you click the customize option on the pop-up window, you'll find 64 options (4 x 4 x 4) by using the checkboxes.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 That is open to a philosophical debate (check my handle ;) ) Back on topic. At, or about 3:13 in your video, there is a pop-up window in the top right-hand corner with a button marked 'Custom'. Click the 'Custom' button for a broader range of colour options.
Legendary effort dude. I have now got my new alpha and warbird base today after yoir recommendation. It's a great buy. My only issue is in star cotizen all my ships want to nose dive now even though its calibrated correctly.Did you have any issues?
+BrianMP5T *Thanks for the sneak peek at calibration for the VIRPIL® components I've shortlisted for the Universal Simpit concept.* The MongoosT-50CM3® Throttle Module, Constellation ALPHA™ collective/thruster and center-stick grips, and Control Panel #1 Module have many items both command and status; the Constellations will probably be mounted on MongoosT-50CM2® gimbals with 200mm extensions and different spring/cam sets, with the ACE™ Interceptor Pedals completing the essential control group.
Is there a config I can do to change the flap stick on a CM2 to control the mining laser in Star Citizen? Or even the scroll wheel on the right hand side throttle?
Do you know of any discount codes for virpil? Especially when I'm looking at biting the built and placing an order for the CM3 throttle, CM2 mount, Alpha stick, V3 Mini mount, V3 Long mount, adaptor for cm3 throttle mount going on the mini mount, and the ruddle peddles... even a 10% discount on the rig would be amazing
O M G I am going to have to get really good with my Thrustmaster Hotas before I ever attempt to go to anything better, especially Virpil! "Lots of switches and stuff!" 8o Thank you Noobifier, I hope that one day I can watch and utilize these videos without my mouth hitting the floor! LOL WEEOO!
Why can't I work out how to switch the LED's off? Setting them to Black does nothing, it doesn't even change the colour. Setting them to a colour works fine. How do I switch them off?
Unfortunately Virpil have removed the 'split to virtual device by 32 buttons' feature. How do you deal with that in games waht use directx to map controls, like Elite Dangerous?
@@NOOBIFIER1337 ughh I was hoping that was not the answer... the split was easy and strait forward and not time consuming both learning and setup gremlin... is there a way to just setup key strokes / combos in the virpil software so when you press a base button it sends a keyboard key? to me this would be easier than running another piece of software...
I'm still confuesd. I have Constellation A with warbrd and throttle and I cant even get the LED lights right. I have given up on it. Thanks for the video :)
My level of stupidity is impressing/scaring me sometimes (and increasing day by day). I keep reminding meself watching again if not understand. If anyone else have same issue here what I did: Unplugged devices and uninstalled old software, installed new software and saved them one by one and is now working. Still no idea about the LEDs, but I not touching it now it is working. Again, sorry to bring it up here, I went loco and smashed my fist in the concrete wall. A good nite sleep to calm nerves was good. I have a question to you noobifier; you have any fotos of your rig? I thinking welding meself one (got a welder-gun-thing a few years ago and never used it) I have also a pipe-bender. Thanks :) keep up helpful videos like this. (sorry the english, I know it sucks) BTW, PTU 3.12 is out :)
It’s quite straightforward to set up and get started with a device. It does allow you dive in to a lot of detail if you choose to. I find Virpil’s software easier to use than the VKB config tool...but that really does allow you to control everything about the device, if you wanted to.
Vkb got their stuff right. It's so simple and clean and intuitive. Virpil might have smarter hardware but they are lacking in software even with the update. Also the single Blackbox device to control two sticks and the pedals still should be addressed by virpil. I am personally on the fence, with better coders and a single control device virpil would crush vkb on everything but price.
WEEOO!
Correct
@@NOOBIFIER1337 what is this? it confuses me

awsome vid bro love watching your stuff. you are the reason i got virpil in the first place. keep up the great work

This was helpful. It seems obvious now, but I didn't really understand the individual LED configs, even though I had tried to read and watch about it.

this is a nice video. do we have one on precise detent tuning? Im trying to find the center deadzone and I cant quite get it the way i want to work with power and even axis. Not sure if im doing something wrong.
