Camp literally means having no taste in fashion because camp, this year's theme means being naive, ironic, ridiculous, artifice, exaggeration, crazy, silly, and over the top. So if you see something that you think looks pretty, elegant, looks good on them, then they failed the theme and should go home because they're basic and boring, that's the opposite of CAMP. But if you felt that they looked ugly, silly, funny, disgusting, too much, in your face, or ridiculous in their outfits, then they're one of the best dressed and followed the theme to the T.

it's not an award event, is a fundraiser gala for the MET's Costume Institute exhibit that changes every year an thats what sets the teme of the event, and this is the most exclusive event in New York, is expected of you to wear the best of the best in fashion, obiously following the dress code of that year and the teme of this year's in short is teatrical, over the top, the most extra you can be.

The theme was Camp, that was the point. Finding the beauty on the exagerated, alterating the natural, making the 'ugly' beautiful. It was based and inspired on Susan Sontag's essay about Camp. And it's true, one should either be a work of art, carry a work of art or wear a work of art. Fashion is about fun, no judgment. Camp is freedom, creativity and craziness. And that's what makes life fun too, who wants something boring and afraid of expressing, afraid of daring the boundaries? Life is there to be lived, enjoy learning, expanding, feeling. An open mind, leads to an open soul. An open soul leads to happiness. And I love all the artistic innocence and honesty of this theme, art is for artists and those who understand art. If you Can't feel it, you can't get it and then you can't enjoy it. And honestly if you're missing out on art, you're missing out on life. Be kind, sensitive and happy. Learn, work on yourself. xx
