And to be fair - the raids were WAY EASIER with the world buffs and pots... so it's not even that it's the player's fault for wanting to be buffed.

You are 100 % correct they neglected the world and focused on difficult raiding and awful incursions. Most people are here for nostalgia, they are not interested in that crap. Part of my problem with SoD may just be a me thing. But it was pitched as seasonal. Most games that push "seasonal" means usually you see 2-3 seasons a year. So I kind of just didn't join in because me, personally, wasn't to interested in MMO seasonal content (like it just ends in a few months, etc). But what we really got was just a side tracked classic with changes. If they told me from the start I probably would have been in. What kept me away after I realized that it wasnt a traditional season type game was just wild up and down changes. This class is so OP now its scum, this class is so OP... and smash it down... these 4 classes need big help.. oh.. dont pay attention to them. It just had me kinda going meh.
To be fair, the only reason Phase 1 was so well received was because it was the usual "honeymoon" phase of a new game. That along with the leveling being 1-25 which was relatively quick and easy to achieve and it was around the commonly trodden beginner world is why people enjoyed it.
Alt friendly. Fresh. Classic. Reworked Classes. Phase 1 was literally everything people wanted in the first part of a classic reboot. That and the prospect of the future changes/phase was a reason why peopled loved phase 1. The problem blizzard ALWAYS seems to have is content lasting too long, getting stale. The solution to a successful SoD would have been so simple: People just wanted a classic + version, meaning maintain the classic feeling, fine tune the issues of classic with things such as mana issues / missing taunts / fix not viable specs and have new PvP and PvE content. SoD was a huge sucess during p1 because it felt very close to classic experience with very minor additions and improvements. However devs went further the wrong directions of adding too much new spells and new class playstyles that brought lot of unbalance and requires a lot of heavy maintenance that the current dev team cannot provide.
You forgot to mention how one Dev was online on social media mocking people for not liking SoD, bitching about people bitching, blaming people for SoD being shit and just refused to take criticism seriously while trying to hide the fact that they were straight up talking shit to random people just because they were upset that those people simply didn't enjoy their work and would prefer actual Dev work being put into Cataclysm (because pre-patch Cata was fucked and then Cata launch was fucked too, there are still several bugs in Cata that have been claimed to have been fixed).
@dyyylllaannn what does that have to do with anything. A heroic retail raid makes every SoD raid an absolute joke. You have to be a much better player to clear a heroic raid. Yet you have these raids in SoD that are purposefully made easy for classic players and yet you can't get into 90% of them without have 95% parses. This is an issue blizzard can't fix, classic players are just like this.
@@him7487 they are like this because there's 1 chance per toon per week to play the game (blizz tried to fix this with 3 day lockouts) and if you don't optimize the group you're going to either 1. waste your time or 2. spend 3x effort teaching shitters to play the game. I wouldn't touch sod, got to lvl 17 and quit because it was lame. dont wanna have my effort invalidated every couple months because they are developing the content with live servers. But I don't think it's as piss easy as you say and I definitely do not think you need 95s to get invited to a pug.
We wanted Classic+. A large number of players gave it a shot hoping maybe the regurgitated "season of [x]" title was just a holdover from their other Classic ventures, but it slowly proved to be the same min-max fest without enough changes or additions for a fresh experience.
True. I could tell at Blizzcon that Blizz only made SoD because they couldn't be bothered to make C+. No wonder players have given up on it. Some will be back for endgame but they'll need more than a converted instance and some runes to stick around.
Blizzard has completely missed the mark with SOD. The new class specs were fun and flavourful but the excessive ruins and over saturation of abilities has made it season of retail. You're absolutely right about the open world needing the love it deserves. Classic is remembered for the amazing events IE qiraj war.
I Quit SoD and started new on the fresh era server Zandalar Tribe EU, wich was blocked by Blizzard for Repopulation. Check it out, if you didnt know yet. Alle these retail implements in sod makes me cry. Its more worse then forbidden private server, they destroy the design and the community, so just start new on Zandalar EU Era 😍👍🏻
Maybe they should make it so you have to do group quests and guild quests in the world in order to have advantages in raids, among other things that force people into the world.
It is obvious to everybody- the main cancerous and destructive force within WoW has been and always will be the players themselves. The lowest common denominator is still somehow always able to ruin everything for this game. But you really shouldn’t be trying to do a non-max level dungeon without a Top 10 parse. Come on
For me, I joined a bit late... Had a long break of WoW, and only started playing during phase 2. But with the launch of Albion Online (EU) I haven't even seen phase 3 yet... Then MoP Remix came out and gave it a go, and I'm now very focused on getting all the transmogs and mounts. But as soon phase 4 rolls out I'll be back for SoD for sure!
The devs just don't understand what the players want. Phase 1 was a banger because people felt it showed there was promise in the future, but they tried to template invention, you just can't do that. So every subsequent phase boils down to the same exact formule: XYZ rune added, one dungeon changed to be a raid - that you can grind on repeat for weeks, maybe one half working PVP event added. One word comes to mind: minimal effort. What the playerbase wants: New open world quests New open world events New areas on the map New open world bosses New dungeons/raids and interesting PVE content New PVP content Players want new systems and new content, not one system that will be repeated and slightly redesigned content that already existed. While personally I feel like out of any version of WoW my favorite class design and balance is cataclysm, and a lot of runes added to SoD are appropriate, just balancing a class and redesigning a dungeon and some formulaic open world event is something like a group of 3 devs on a private server would easily do. They should just hire guys from turtle wow and profit.
And the wow community is filled with crying little bitches. We always knew we weren't going to be getting that stuff to start with but no the people on the forums cry cry cry about we aren't getting that. All of the really new stuff was always going to be end game stuff. If you don't like it go back to retail and cry even more because how fast you're going to blow through it.
I'm still having fun with SoD, but that has more to do with it being vanilla WoW and I'm a turbo casual who literally only plays WoW SoD maybe one day a week.
Phase 4 hasnt come out yet because blizz wants playerbase buying tokens and store mounts in retail and cata , basically they make less money if everyone is playing sod
You're correct about getting players out into the world but the level gating along with raids that have overtuned loot are what kept players out of the open world in the following phases. There was little to no reason to farm preraid bis for the next level band raid when the previous raid gear was your bis. If phase 4 doesnt encourage farming dungeons and open world for preraid bis then its going to be a raid logging adventure with a low playerbase.
I think we all wanted to like it. We were in a honeymoon phase 1. As it wore down we realized all the things we didn't like. Most people wanted Classic, with more content. They turned SoD into, basically, a wrath or cata with subpar graphics. I like the idea of runes to get people out in the world, but they changed way too much and it didn't feel like vanilla classic anymore. At this point, just release a fresh classic. Keep SoD seasonal like SoM, let everyone xfer their toons, and be done with it.
Yep. Honestly I was bored in P1 until I made premade BG groups.. was the only thing to do besides mindlessly farm materials/gold. And then they removed premades essentially!!
To me, SoD was ruined by Incursions. Within two days of Phase 3, the Blizz devs lost my trust and I deleted all nine of my level 40 characters and gave all my gold to my former raid leader, which was almost 1000g.
Hello! Nightmare’s Incursions were NOT a bad idea. They just provided too much incentive. If they provided good XP or good gold or only provided good benefits the first time one ran them, it would have been good and interesting new content. But because they provided the most XP and the most gold, folks chose to spam them. That caused the folks doing the spamming to no longer enjoy them, and the folks who didn’t do them immediately to feel bad for missing out on the gold.
I still don't understand how people managed to do 0% PvP in Ashenvale. I can't even count how many times I teamed up with my guild to counter the horde pushing our generals, including many close calls defending our Moonwell HQ. I did TONNES of PvP in Ashenvale, and I genuinely feel bad for those who didn't, those were some epic times.
It’s so sad what they did to maraudon…that will always stick out for me in sod. They just made dungeons feel worthless - same with the leveling experience in general. Since the team seems to be so end game focused - I do actually have high hopes for phase 4!🫶
The problem for me at this point is all of my guild has moved on to Cata. As for myself I only have time to play 1 Cata character and 1 Retail character.
I quit honestly because leveling takes forever. I work full-time and don't have the time to level slowly to catch up and then run dungeons to gear up to do raids.
I love classic and SoD just felt like retail minus by phase 3. I didn't like the changes made to the class I chose. I don't want to reroll and go through all the rune bs again. Plus the economy was destroyed in phase 3 and I have no interest in farming gold for 20 hours to enjoy the game for 3 per week. I think they went to far when most classic players would of been happy with some simple buffs to the meme specs and gear adjustments.
Nightmare Incursion would've been fine if they were daily quests and not repeatable, putting almost BIS preraid gear in the friendly/honored rep was a mistake too.
I think SoD had a damn good run considering it's just a re-release of Vanilla with a few runes and changes made to existing instances. I'd like to see Blizzard make Classic+
I honestly don't want blizzard to make classic + unless they build a specific dedicated development team that is literally been built and is assigned ONLY to classic plus. If blizzard gives the go ahead for classic + and they do what they did with development of SoD it'll be a big steaming pile of dogshit.
Aggrend's take on incursions during a recent interview: "It's just a faceroll, you don't think about it, no thoughts about it, not really engaging"... Yeah in other words, we should just turn our fking brains off and spam same quests endlessly in one same area for exp/gold. Where have we seen this before? Retail (cough). Heck even the devs more or less admitted SoD is just a test for Panda remix. Insted of giving us a more proper Classic+ they use SoD to try trick us into liking Retail again! SoD is NOT Classic+. It's a Beta for it at best. Devs don't even know what C+ is or should be, so they throw everything on the wall and see what sticks with feedback.
It’s a funnel for cata. SOD has cata abilities, rotations, and mechanics. They thought they were slick but I see through it! Still love SOD and am hyped for p4.
Runes became way too hard to get and impossible to solo. As a person who just likes to farm and avoids playing with the toxic community I just dropped the game.
The true problem right now is to much wow. You have retail, panada remix, hardcore, classic vanilla (yes some are playing it and have gone back) and Cata. They need to stop these limited duration things, scrap vanilla, and only have the three versions.
Biggest problem with wow (all versions) is the player base. never happy and always finds a way to talk shit about every little thing. P1 and 2 was nice, Nightmare incursions was awesome for speed of leveling and gold making, and im sure its gonna be good in this last leveling phase. Ppl still after all this time still compare this version of the game to the 2004 version of the game. its not, and was not intended to be.
Can’t fix a toxic community mate lol. People don’t like the gatekeeping that goes on in a 20 year old version of the game. The player perception on how people play SoD is going to keep a lot of people from returning. Plus Phase 4 releases between Dawnrrail and The War Within lmao. That’s DOA
Are we not acknowledging that wow players are metaphorical flies that will swarm the freshest pile of crap that Blizzard puts out? The doomer stuff is comical at this point. Remember when Cata was terrible and ruined wow. Now all i hear is "Cata hype sod is dead".
Even if phase 4 is amazing, its just too late. Phase 3 killed my guild with 20man raiding and 1 week lockout. Became raidlogging right away and phase 3 was abit dull as well. So unless i find a new amazing guild. I will just quit as well.
Them forcing melee hunter to the top of the meta, while both ranged specs were absolutely F tier, I saw the writing on the wall. And quit p2 After 20 years SOD was my last shot for blizz. Im never coming back.
Here's what's wrong with season of discovery: it's still WoW. WoW used to be a great game, but over the years, the Dev team have been replaced, and the game has so much pointless content now that it becomes impossible to ignore the fact that every bit of current content will become pointless content in the next few months. None of it matters, and while the game has changed, nothing can distract you from the fact that it's all the same stuff you've been doing for 20 years, and none of it is actually novel, and Blizz keeps charging more for less. I played wow for 15 years, and the last 4 years of it killed my love of gaming. I didn't think I'd ever play another MMO until I found Mortal Online 2.
How come all the streamers that invest alot of time into classic (and have the only ones who have time honestly to play vanilla), dont like SoD? Im a 39 year old dad with my own company and kids, SoD is the perfect way for me to enjoy the best game I used to play all the time :)
Ya man. I’m still enjoying it even now. Leveling new toons and just kicking it with friends enjoying the old classic word with enhanced abilities. People are such whining little children
Are they going to release SoD 60 with Pre-Patch War Within Content? The timing of SoD 60 is going to be weird. Prepatch for War Within drops ~Aug 1st War Within Drops Aug 26th So we have 1 month until prepatch then War within. We know SoD wants a decent Beta phase to test things. So are they going to release it along with the Prepatch to War within OR wait until after War Within drops. There is no easy place to put it
My biggest turn off....that these servers and what we do on them dont matter at all....at least in remix you not only get the character but you unlocked all these new pets mounts and mogs all for your retail characters
Each phase should have been 1 month, world buff should have been for all levels and not restricted and the fact that they wanted to make raids out of the "less visited" dungeons in vanilla just proves that they dont listen to the player base. People didnt go to Sunken Temple because they plain didnt like it.
I mostly played lvl 19 twink in phase 1 and 2 and the que time was below 3 minutes. Then phase 3 show up and it ended up being unavaible. Even the lvl 50 que times for bgs now are lik 15-30 minutes. So waste of time to sit afk and wait for a bg to show up. How you even gonna be able to rech rank 14 with these long que times. Compared to Cata that have 1-6 minutes que times for bgs. Is not hard to choose which version to play if you are a PvP player.
For me phase 1 was rough, not many abilities, very slow and boring. Phase 2 got better but phase 3 has been amazing and after trying the PTR I cannot wait for phase 4 🔥 Although I don’t play any PVE, strictly WSG.
that is EXACTLY it. making an alt and being rejected from every pug despite having the gear score because "not enough logs". get fuuuucked with your shit game lol, this isnt a job application wtf. my main was raiding with the guild and had a score of 80 in logs, still couldnt find a raid the whole weekend on my alt. shit dead game.
1. No new areas or zones 2. No new instances, only tweaked instances for raids. 3. IMHO too many new abilities we didn't want retail 4. They are now putting too much effort into class balancing and set bonus features and changes I doubt we'll see any new content throughout SoD 5. What happens after Naxx? Probably nothing at this point, see previous.... Honestly, they coulda left the classes exactly as they were (updating meme classes woulda been fine, ret, feral, etc) and focused on fun new zones and raids and that woulda been amazing. We didnt need every class to tank, every class to heal, I don't know WHAT they were thinking....
The problem I've noticed, they went in but didn't have much planning They should have planned it all, had it all on the rails ready to go and slowly release it, at this point, it's, we will release it and fix it later. I've recently given sod a second shot, it's sad to see the servers in the state they are, but it's the same across the board, even cata is quickly dropping dead
Lava Lash NA was a P3 casualty similar to Chaos Bolt in P2. Both locked to new players. We may be the last 2 dozen players, still doing daily SoD, here on the Lash. And enjoying the drought. Dystopian wow. Having to accomplish much. With a shitload less. Has upped our game here on Deadworld. Been a helluva season. But do not expect anything spectacular in P4. P1 was fun, P2 was okay and P3, managed to suck ass. Bar is pretty low for P4. There has only ever been one wow killer..... blizzard.
wait they are changing from 40 man to 20 man bs and retail andys are still crying its not 10man? lmao the state of sod population no surprise its going down the drain lol REAL RAIDING is 40 man only
A willingness and intention to harness people's affection for a particular clas structure and gameplay experience....and then subvert it. They have intentionally disrupted core aspects of classic wow and injected their run of the mill behavioral addiction farming tactics we've all come to know and hate with retail. If anything is to be said of sod once the dust settles and its all said and done its this: sod was an attempt by blizzard to force feed mechanics to classic wow players. Its wrapping the "medicine" in the treat. They figured they can get the classic wow players to once and for all be finally resigned to playing the game the way blizzard wants. Get them hooked on systems and game deisgn they have implemented in retail by offering players the aesthetic of classic. Doing molten core 20 man in sod feels like its going to remind me of watching zoolander 2. Just because you're sharing a brand doesnt make you the same
How does blizzard not get what people like about Classic. Its the WORLD of warcraft. We as players keep saying WoW is learning but they keep making basic mistakes.
I don't think the majority of WoW players aren't difficult to win back, even if the image of SOD was/is awful they're happy to jump on whatever the next trend is. If Phase 4 is good, they'll play it.
No idea how any1 can still expect anything good from the fail devs time after time after time. Just give us a fresh server every 2 years we already pay way more than enough for the server upkeep.
Its just poor man's ascension really. Concept aside, the numbers of output are unfitting for the health values of everything and feel generally not classic
Blizzard and the majority is so out of touch with Warcraft. Majority just want the pve aspect and to feel the mmo part when it suits their favor. The game is called *Warcraft*, yet blizzard and the playerbase don't want to see wpvp pushed with huge scale battles. Levels don't need to be added or touched, no more BGs, no more raids and dungeons. We need wpvp events and things to get players in the world to make it actually feel like a war and mmo.
SoD or Classic+ was about to extend the content and make more and NEW content. Not just reuse things. Making dungeons into raids ain't "new" content per say. I thought SoD would mean more new content. More new fresh dungeons like a new scarlet one, or that gate with the Timbermaw in Azshara zone and much more. The potential is there IF they would give it any love and resources behind it but they are making more money with Retail and it's monetization galore. SoD has about 6 months more to "live" but from this day to that, all we get is that Kara Crypt and just *maybe* scarlet raid they hinted. But all the work doing same raids we did in Classic 2019 and 6 months of work for just ONE more NEW content...yeah Aggrend really need to drink stronger coffee and look on the numbers in a different way. My guild is dead and even tho p4 is coming, people have lost their hype or willingness to play because of phase 3 BS. Some will return but guild is more or less dead anyway. EDIT: For P4 even with them giving us exp boost and do BRD/Scholomance etc, people will do the Feralas incursions to 60 so same bs as with P3. Taking the world out once again.
If you don't say that it takes more time to level to 50 than 25 everytime you said the raid logs have decreased in numbers as a statistic to evaluate the population, your opinion is invalid. I had 6 level 25s I have 1 level 50. But I am still one person who plays. But I cannot keep up with 6 characters at this point.
Leveling is literally the easiest part. Even without the discovery buff leveling a 2nd or 3rd Toon is going to be faster by knowing the routes better and knowing the quests more ect. But what u can't do is go back with your friends to get exalted for wsg doing the ashenvale event and have bis gear as soon as the phase drops. U can't feel that power spike of a new discovered rune because everyone is dungeon leveling until they can do incursions. So why would a paladin even bother to try the crusader strike rune quest to help him level when it's literally faster to run with groups get max level and then go solo farm the runes u don't have yet. Plus he'd have a mount so less traveling to level while at the end u get a mount to do all the world traveling for runes. With catch up gear waiting for u as soon as u max level. They didnt add a PVP event for P3 so after the world first race for the raid and then worlds fastest got done people have had nothing to do with their mains but help others catch up or reroll. They changed gearing so if u run 2 raids and don't have ur full armor set it's probably because ur trolling. Where as in phase 1 u could've done 25 raids seen the pants u needed 5 times always lost the roll so it kept u motivated to come back every reset. So now everyone's mains are bis, sitting on enough gold to probably gear themselves at 60 and buy the epic mounts. So we have all this help from blizzard to help level our new toons but we're all pissed because they added all these things but forgot to add something else to do at 50. So everyone power rushed to the same point and now no one knows what to do
We essentially got 2 versions of classic +; SoD and hardcore. SoD sucked, hardcore was awesome and sustainable. I hope this was a lesson to blizzard that only small systems changes are necessary to greatly expand classic. The balance of classic WAS the appeal, with all its meme specs. Nobody wanted new abilities in classic
The simply let the hype die. ST was too hard then, fixed and then nerfed into the ground. With in a week. So what was a nice progression raid for a few week turned into a speed run with very little reward. As the weeks went by and the radio silence from the Devs stayed constant my guild slowly started dyeing.. till we could not fill a raid and friends just quit wow again.. No hope and what was fun, just felt like a waste of time, with the constant "well it is just a seasonal server". maybe if they kept the hype about Kara crypts coming and being worked on.. but all we have is that it will be like classic 60, raids moved to 20 mans with maybe a hard mode? not much know about it really.. but MC again.
ST being too hard I'm in three different Guild two of them clear it and my other guild cannot The mechanics punish the whole raid instead of punishing the player

Its literally easier to get into a heroic pug in retail than it is to get into a pug on SoD. The players killed SoD and nothing else.
that's because there's a bigger player pool, it's easier to replace people, there's more tiers of difficulty, etc. apples to oranges literally
if you wanted to be adog shit player you will get kicked from the heroic pug on retail too
@dyyylllaannn what does that have to do with anything.
@@him7487 also heroic retail is pretty easy fr bro, aotc is only hard because of final bosses like fyrakk or sark on heroic
All I wanted was for pallys to get a taunt and crusader strike. Hopefully we get fresh vanilla with minor changes like above. World buffs must stay.
I love that people are still trying to convince themselves that SoD is Classic XD
Blizzards lack of talent and imagination is what ruined SOD.
no it's their lack of resources given to the sod team
Bingo.
What the playerbase wants:
New open world quests
New open world events
New areas on the map
New open world bosses
New dungeons/raids and interesting PVE content
New PVP content
Players want new systems and new content, not one system that will be repeated and slightly redesigned content that already existed.
It's just retail with vanilla wow numbers
With the classic zone setting for peak illusion.
👍🏻 agree
I never went near it
It’s so sad what they did to maraudon…that will always stick out for me in sod. They just made dungeons feel worthless - same with the leveling experience in general.
Since the team seems to be so end game focused - I do actually have high hopes for phase 4!🫶
What content would there be at 45 bracket? There's no dungeons at that level, everything is either too low or too high.
I quit mostly because of incursions and secondly because every class is just way to op now.
This.
then you'll enjoy playing hunter in P4. We've gotten a swift kick to the nuts so far in the PTR.
@@AmongRevenants i'm hunter main, i've not even tried the PTR for SOD, it just sounds depressing for hunter haha
Yeah melee hunter is doing same damage as phase 2 and ranged is still same crap as phase 3
@@Tinto2 They finally got pets working in the PTR. That's it and the melee rune nerf for hunters so far.
This 100%.
God, no.
I think SoD had a damn good run considering it's just a re-release of Vanilla with a few runes and changes made to existing instances.
I'd like to see Blizzard make Classic+
It’s not even over lol. People will come back in p4 because they are already raidlogging cata.
I honestly don't want blizzard to make classic + unless they build a specific dedicated development team that is literally been built and is assigned ONLY to classic plus.
If blizzard gives the go ahead for classic + and they do what they did with development of SoD it'll be a big steaming pile of dogshit.
@@Mug_O_Tea I agree
SoD is really good IMO. Can't wait for P4.
Which Is good becouse this game clearly isnt for you.
Cata hype sod is dead
Even if phase 4 is amazing, its just too late. Phase 3 killed my guild with 20man raiding and 1 week lockout. Became raidlogging right away and phase 3 was abit dull as well. So unless i find a new amazing guild. I will just quit as well.
RIP SoD.
Them forcing melee hunter to the top of the meta, while both ranged specs were absolutely F tier, I saw the writing on the wall. And quit p2
After 20 years SOD was my last shot for blizz.
They turned the best version of WoW into 4 of the worst expansions in the history of WoW. Not well thought out at all.
Lollll
100% dude they fucked up the whole concept of classic. Rotations????? Loll
Calling the phases of sod expansions is crazy
@@Polareyesxyour reading comprehension is atrocious
How come all the streamers that invest alot of time into classic (and have the only ones who have time honestly to play vanilla), dont like SoD? Im a 39 year old dad with my own company and kids, SoD is the perfect way for me to enjoy the best game I used to play all the time :)
Ya man. I’m still enjoying it even now. Leveling new toons and just kicking it with friends enjoying the old classic word with enhanced abilities. People are such whining little children
Nice if you can enjoy it.
I usually play the f out of classic wow but p3 was not for me.
Because you're a goober dad gamer
because it's literally just a meme to hate on blizzard if sodapoppin made a sod guild they'd all join and play every day and say they love it
Are they going to release SoD 60 with Pre-Patch War Within Content?
The timing of SoD 60 is going to be weird.
Prepatch for War Within drops ~Aug 1st
War Within Drops Aug 26th
So we have 1 month until prepatch then War within.
We know SoD wants a decent Beta phase to test things. So are they going to release it along with the Prepatch to War within OR wait until after War Within drops.
There is no easy place to put it
Incrusion quest and the fact that you have to be dps spec to tank...in my opinion
The optics battle isn't lost, it's just better click bait for you guys lol
Bingo. Have never heard anyone say the optics battle was lost for sod, or "laughed" at it.
@@cococock2418 only middle aged men who stream wow say it
disagree
Honestly just 2 phases. Level 30 and level 60, P2 and P3 have been so dull
The level gating ruined SoD. Hit max, do the raid, quit the game. You can do the same thing in a few months if you want
I agree about ST
The problem with SOD is its not just the game, it's the try hards thar sucked the fun out of the game. This will stop people returning.
that is EXACTLY it. making an alt and being rejected from every pug despite having the gear score because "not enough logs". get fuuuucked with your shit game lol, this isnt a job application wtf. my main was raiding with the guild and had a score of 80 in logs, still couldnt find a raid the whole weekend on my alt. shit dead game.
You're right SS, cause whenever i hear anything about it, im like S OMEGALUL D.
the level brackets was a massive reason SoD sucked. took way too long
1. No new areas or zones
2. No new instances, only tweaked instances for raids.
3. IMHO too many new abilities we didn't want retail
4. They are now putting too much effort into class balancing and set bonus features and changes I doubt we'll see any new content throughout SoD
The problem I've noticed, they went in but didn't have much planning
They should have planned it all, had it all on the rails ready to go and slowly release it, at this point, it's, we will release it and fix it later.
I've recently given sod a second shot, it's sad to see the servers in the state they are, but it's the same across the board, even cata is quickly dropping dead
they should have stick with the 10 man raids
Lava Lash NA was a P3 casualty similar to Chaos Bolt in P2. Both locked to new players.
We may be the last 2 dozen players, still doing daily SoD, here on the Lash. And enjoying the drought.
Dystopian wow. Having to accomplish much. With a shitload less. Has upped our game here on Deadworld.
Been a helluva season. But do not expect anything spectacular in P4. P1 was fun, P2 was okay and P3, managed to suck ass. Bar is pretty low for P4.
There has only ever been one wow killer..... blizzard.
Plz NO 20 man new raids. 10 man was why P1 and P2 were still easily pugged. 20 man requires a lot more setup time.
wait they are changing from 40 man to 20 man bs and retail andys are still crying its not 10man? lmao the state of sod population no surprise its going down the drain lol REAL RAIDING is 40 man only
"The raid of gnomeron" -____________________- 7:29
It went wrong at incursions. At least for me. Immediately lost interest with that debacle.
it's pretty simple, a horrible phase lasted way too long and it is still going on...
If Phase 4 is good, they'll play it.
wrong
finally you guys see what SoD is all about, glorified vanilla wow with glyphs from retail kek
I’m still playing and having a great time.
Whats wrong with SoD?
Shamans
2 words, THE DEVS
No idea how any1 can still expect anything good from the fail devs time after time after time. Just give us a fresh server every 2 years we already pay way more than enough for the server upkeep.
SoD was fun when it was alt friendly and quick/easy to get into raids (10 mans!) P1 was bis. Spaming SM in p2 and incursions in p3 was kinda lame.
Its just poor man's ascension really.
Concept aside, the numbers of output are unfitting for the health values of everything and feel generally not classic
How’s it poor man’s ascension when that garbage fire is free?
Blizzard and the majority is so out of touch with Warcraft. Majority just want the pve aspect and to feel the mmo part when it suits their favor. The game is called *Warcraft*, yet blizzard and the playerbase don't want to see wpvp pushed with huge scale battles. Levels don't need to be added or touched, no more BGs, no more raids and dungeons. We need wpvp events and things to get players in the world to make it actually feel like a war and mmo.
too many ban wave, i got banned when leveling more than 3 times. i never sub again. and also too many bot in it.
Everyone liked phase 1 the most. You know what phase 1 had? GDKPs
SoD is pretty solid. The playerbase just has a lot of whiners that need to go outside from time to time.
Excellent commentary on this one.
Incursions ruined SOD imo
SOD = enchanting... it's so low effort from blizz
Nightmare incursions.
people still supporting blizzard after how they handled classic are running on pure copium
people droning on about the same shit over and over. some of us didn't even get our spells until level 40 lmao
streamers keep making videos like this and it will certainly die
…find it funny that people loved p1 so much (ok was cool to play as a fresh feeling again) but for some classes p1 was absolutely trash and unfair
SoD condensed the history of how WoW went from a great game in Vanilla to the mess that retail is today in a few patches.
Season of discovery is so friggen dead...
ST being too hard I'm in three different Guild two of them clear it and my other guild cannot The mechanics punish the whole raid instead of punishing the player
If the player can't do the mechanics at this point then they need to go. Dbm alerts you to everything now. We're 11 weeks in
The player base is toxic and selfish that’s gg
I miss tbc 😢
Thats because SoD is bad and was never good
Just give us some new dungeons and raids in classic. But dont change the game
