He made the orignal series the office in the uk.
A lot of his jokes are about current events. If you aren't up on them, they will go over your head. But most of these people in the room are very aware and his jokes are dagger sharp.

Apart from gigs like this he’s a brilliant standup and writer. He wrote the original UK ‘Office’ sitcom which was a hundred times funnier than the mess the US made of it when they bought the format. He also wrote ‘Afterlife’ which he referred to in his speech and which went to three seasons here. You’ll love more of him. Some UA-camrs are uncertain about pronouncing his surname so try Jer-vaze! Thanks for all the great vids!
