I don’t see how any of this went at Republicans and I was a moderate democrat before the new left right paradigm of nationalist populist vs socialist globalist.
Systematic racism isn’t a thing today besides affirmative action against Asian, white, and Hispanic people. Immigration is affecting wages for all Americans, but is directly affecting the black communities.
What’s affecting people succeeding is having 2 parents to provide because if you don’t you will never see your parent with how much you have to work to make due. We reward single parent homes causing less graduates and the welfare state is abused. Raising minimum wage excessively ect ect is why these communities are failing.
In the 60’s blacks had more parents in household than whites, now its dropped to 20-23% from 90ish percent. Instead of addressing these problems in politics nothing is done, Obama even said that immigration affects the inner cities more than anywhere else. It was the 60’s when we reworked our legal immigration system and started saying we were a nation of immigrants. Just look into immigration maps, it’s way less balanced than before diversity wise.
This is why Obama deported 2.5 million people or so, it brings jobs to the black community. It’s not a coincidence that trump deporting people and slowing illegals is happening while black unemployment is dropping drastically and is lowest percent we’ve had in like 50 years.
When democrats got rid of Jim Crow they brought welfare, immigrants for cheap labor (not as many jobs available to illegals so less options, all wages based off supply and demand of workers) planned parent hood, and laws that targeted black communities.
When Gervais was talking about race he was pointing out how obsessed people have become with melanin, and how ridiculous it is. Point went right over your head
You know he flipped affirmative action on its head and said okay if we need a quota for the people that win we also need a quota for the people that die. Untouchable.
Ricky Gervais just had the greatest monologue in any award show of all time. Saying what we all have been thinking-- we dont care what overpaid rich, snobby, virtual signaling elites think. Every bar he had was on point. Missed another part in the day with the Weinstein joke saying all the people on the room turned a blind eye to his actions. I was like damn!

To have someone like Rickey on Golden Globes is probably the best ad they can have for the whole network as it allows people from the real world to be a part of it and it's not just your everyday millionaire who's afraid to say anything just in case someone sues them.

The Majority of Millionaires in this day and age are self made. Around 80% to be exact. It correlates too considering the amount of growth of entrepreneurship over the last 20 years too has been substantial. This isn't the 1700-1800s or early 1900s where most people inherited their wealth. Do your research.

You win everything. Good night.” But no, we got to drag it out for three hours. You could binge-watch the entire first season of Afterlife instead of watching this show. That’s a show about a man who wants to kill himself ‘cause his wife dies of cancer and it’s still more fun than this. Spoiler alert, season two is on the way so in the end he obviously didn’t kill himself. Just like Jeffrey Epstein. Shut up. I know he’s your friend but I don’t care. Seriously, most films are awful. Lazy. Remakes, sequels. I’ve heard a rumour there might be a sequel to Sophie’s Choice. And the actors who just do Hollywood movies now do fantasy-adventure nonsense. They wear masks and capes and really tight costumes. Their job isn’t acting anymore. Martin Scorsese made the news for his controversial comments about the Marvel franchise. He said they’re not real cinema and they remind him about theme parks. I agree. Although I don’t know what he’s doing hanging around theme parks. He’s not big enough to go on the rides. He’s tiny. The Irishman was amazing. It was amazing. It was great. Long, but amazing. It wasn’t the only epic movie. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, nearly three hours long. Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere and by the end his date was too old for him. Even Prince Andrew was like, “Come on, Leo, mate.You’re nearly 50-something.” The world got to see James Corden as a fat pussy. He was also in the movie Cats. No one saw that movie. And the reviews, shocking. I saw one that said, “This is the worst thing to happen to cats since dogs.” But Dame Judi Dench defended the film saying it was the film she was born to play because she loves nothing better than plunking herself down on the carpet, lifting her leg and licking her ming. [Coughs.] Hairball. She’s old-school. It’s the last time, who cares? Apple roared into the TV game with The Morning Show, a superb drama about the importance of dignity and doing the right thing, made by a company that runs sweatshops in China. Well, you say you’re woke but the companies you work for in China - unbelievable. Apple, Amazon, Disney. If Isis started a streaming service you’d call your agent, wouldn’t you?
So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.
