I remember watching your first tutorial about 4 years ago, right when i was getting into the sport. Now, I'm just about 2 weeks away from one of the biggest gathering tournaments in my country, with over 50 different teams participating. I'm one of my clubs strongest servers and attackers at the level I'm playing, and a lot of it can be contributed to you. Thank you so much for all the content you've provided during these years, it has been an incredible journey that I'll probably follow until the day you stop posting
Okay I watched Haikyuu and thought "theres no way the ball moves THAT weird, right?" Instantly proven wrong, ball has a mind of its own without spin lol
After getting serious ligament injury in football at age 15, I adopted much safer game volleyball, I'm 61years old but still love to play alongside boyz qtr my age, I also train them, I love float serves rather than power jump serves.
I like that you speak clearly and not so fast. I started playing volleyball qhen i was 10 , just passing balls with my playmates in front of our house . Then i always koin tschool tournaments in high school and college and even at work during summer tournaments. i am at my happiest whenever I play volleyball. When my children were in high school i joined the parents ans teachers tournament. I was in mt mis 40’s when i last played. Now I am 60 and my daughters asked me to teach and play with them. I can still run and climb stairs faster than them but i am eager to know what the necessary warm up exercises a 60 year old should do to avoid injuries. Thank you 🙌🏽
I know nobody is in this comment section anymore but I used this serve the same day I watched this video and crushed it. My team still lost but my serve was far stronger than it's ever been.
What really helped me get a consistent float with barely any spin is hitting with the bottom meaty part of my hand. Doing that instead of hitting with the middle palm made it sooo much easier
This was one of the most helpful videos I’ve ever seen! I’ve been struggling terribly with my overhand serve and this helped me fix everything I was doing wrong! 10/10 recommend!!🏐🏐
Love your progressions with skills and ways to practice them. Super helpful for a new coach! Thank you! I viewed the hitting and serving drills today. I feel empowered to help my players. 😊
I got into volleyball with your videos less than a year ago, yet I've followed the exact steps you mentioned back then so many times that this feels nostalgic haha
Thank you SO MUCH for the tips! The way you teach is really easy to understand. I'll go practice right now! The commercial break at the end was nice haha
I'm happy to see that you remade this one! I've watched the older version countless times since I've just started playing volleyball! Thanks for your help, coach!
I will do all the tips and instruction on my practice tomorrow morning. I love the drill with wall ,apparently it will give a lot of information to analyses our serve . Thank you so much. Im really looking forward to make my float serve finally go over the net, i hope it help me ❤
I do a two handed toss. It feels more natural as you go through the hitting mechanics (rather than leaving your hitting arm in the Nike "swoosh" position as you toss) This gets you a more consistent toss (especially in the wind/beach.) Additionally (not mentioned) as you step forward with your lead leg you are transferring your weight forward/into the ball with your static hand. This with your torsional rotation is how you get a powerful serve. Using your body weight is super important for those of slighter builds. Bonus: Practice rotating your hand ever so slightly just before the point of contact to hit the lines (you don't want to telegraph.) Setting up, I like to stand in the middle (or off center) to serve.
As an active dad, who daughter has found her passion for a sport which is volleyball, above all, loving the Libero position this video as well as your channel is very beneficial. Thank you. My Only "gripe" is that I really would like to know what brand of shoe that you are wearing and the link to purchase some LOL. I love the fact that they're flat allowing for near grounding but letting your foot be true to form. Amongst other benefits.
Thanks for the video! I followed the instructions in the original one, which helped me improve power and reduce spin a lot. My main problem right now is consistency. I hit the top of the net a lot, and when I'm trying to go higher, I lose a lot of power or go very long. Will try the wall drill next time I'm in a gym to diagnose.
Thanks for watching the original video too! I’m glad that it helped. Thanks for sharing your challenges. Let me know if the wardrobe helps you find the ideal height to serve at.
Always love your videos.. Should add a caviot for younger players.. if your not tall enough, hitting flat at head height won't clear the net. Causes elbow drop. Beginner and young players contacting low /mid ball and higer on swing is important. I only day this because i share your video's with my academy and 12u players that need something to review at home.
This is my technique when am playing volleyball 2007 to 2011 no one teach me i just discover on my own this technique just practice and practice service you can control it to. 😊 I miss playing volleyball
there are things I struggle with, i keep hitting just shy of over the net, sometimes it goes over and sometimes it doesnt, but a consistent pattern is not having enough power on my serves. I am a beginner of 1 to 2 months, and even though my bumping is coming along nicely my serving is faulty. Also in my serves where i just do a standing serve, if i dont stretch properly i hurt my shoulder. so idk if thats a sign that im trying way too hard to hit the ball as fast as i could. Please help me out
Question from a volleyball Dad who knows nothing about volleyball: Why don’t right handed volleyball players follow through with their right foot? If we watch right handed baseball pitchers, they step forward with their left foot and follow through their right foot. It just feels more natural to me to follow through with that right foot instead of leaving it behind.

Not sure if I'll get a response but I don't see the Women's College option on your website! Is it no longer listed?

Okay I watched Haikyuu and thought "theres no way the ball moves THAT weird, right?" Instantly proven wrong, ball has a mind of its own without spin lol
Same here 😭
Really excited to see you redo these videos. The update in quality alone is worth it.
Nice Haikyuu! reference at the end ^^
I was wondering who would catch that 😂
Genuinely thank you for including a left handed part this time. You have no idea how easier this makes it to understand for lefties!
this man is single handedly saving my volleyball carrier
🏐🎒❔️😁

Yamaguchi Nice serve!
"THANK YOU COACH DONNY!" we all say in unison 🗣‼
The Haikyuu segment break reference at the end is literally everything

I’m here reading your comment, hoping to help my daughter fix her serve. Thanks for the feedback!

Just watched that 8 yr old video last week, thanks for always giving fresh content!
Awesome! Thanks for watching 1.0. I’ve learned a lot since then. Please share it with all your volleyball friends!
Preyed to God to help me with my spiking and it worked
Love the color theme of 4RA, it’s so catchy and vibrant! Eye-candy bhi, money-candy bhi.
Love your progressions with skills and ways to practice them. Super helpful for a new coach! Thank you! I viewed the hitting and serving drills today. I feel empowered to help my players. 😊
Float serves are my favorite primarily because they remind me of knuckle balls in soccer so i was excited to see you post an updated tutorial!! 🔥
YESSS More updated versions of old tutorials!
I got into volleyball with your videos less than a year ago, yet I've followed the exact steps you mentioned back then so many times that this feels nostalgic haha
Love that 4ra lets us bet and get our winnings fast, no waiting like other places
Absolutely, and have you noticed how quick 4RA loads? Betting in seconds, so cool!
Thank you SO MUCH for the tips! The way you teach is really easy to understand. I'll go practice right now!
The commercial break at the end was nice haha
Big shoutout to the 4ra support team from me as well, helped me navigate the site and place my first bet. They’re awesome!
That word "LAKAS" written on the ball means "Strong" or "Power" in filipino. Watching from Philippines 💪
That is the quality volleyball content I dig. Thank you so much. Would love a re-do of your jump top spin tutorial too!
I love when people get to the point

Awesome tutorial. Tq sir. Just watch your video 1 hour before my tournament, somehow makes me feel more confident. 😊

I remember my 10 service ace because of float serves when I was in elementary. Miss those days.
THANK YOU!! I travel often so I missed the first 2 weeks of practice, im kinda good but I suck at serving and this helped me sooooo much!!!!

Ahhh tysm this helped me improve so much cuz I always forget the rotation moves
Omg, what a great video! It is so detailed. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share it with us.

Hey coach, can’t seem to find the next video you mentioned about the Common Float Serve Mistakes, did you make that video?
I didn't see the video, but nice that you're teaching beginers!!

Thank you, you have taught me so much
this worked I got my serve!!
Fantastic video, thanks.
Does your height make a difference in serving? Because you said to hit straight but what if I'm not that high and always hit into the net?
Which part of the hand should be making most contact with the ball?
Can you make an updated Jump float tutorial?
Is there a difference if using the heel of the hand when serving?
You guys seen the giveaways on 4ra this week? Crazy good odds on all bets.
Thank you so much sir😢😊❤❤
Very helpful thank you so much
Can you make a 2.0 video on jump serving?
Really helpful, thanks!
Love how 4ra keeps everything transparent, makes me trust betting with them more.
