I am 13 and have been playing for a few months , but whenever I tried to do the upper arm serve , I was very inconsistent , with 90% of balls landing on our court . I used to think I didn't have enough power to play it to the other side . But after watching the fundamentals , I understood that the technique is far more important than raw power or strength to extract the potential . I just need some days of practice to get it now . Thanks coach !
I showed this video to my wife, who Is struggling to serve for 2 years, she finally had that moment of realisation, when she understood how to serve, thank you man, your explanations are always easy to follow and remember
High Five absolutely love it! I went from pushing the serve out to actually having power and surfing at the same time!! Best serving video by far on UA-cam. Simple, fun, and to the point. You also showed how to do it and didn’t just talk! Again thank you so much my friend. Your hard work is appreciated!
I've been working with my daughter on her serve and You hit every key point in a really fun way. I was even doing the whip noise before I saw this video. Ha! Thanks!
Thank you so much for the tips! My arm has been paining while I'm trying to serve correctly. It's been very frustrating. I'm looking forward to my next volleyball practice to try these steps! Wish you all the best, bro! Greetings from Brazil!!
i've never seen a tutorial like this. this is just super extraordinary. thank you coach artie! i'm going to try this for seven days and update you guys later!!
Thank you soo much for making this video! I really love how you explain things! I'm a relatively new player and I've been struggling with spiking, I hope you can make some videos about spiking too! I find that I often am under the ball and have no power. I've looked at tons of videos online but can't figure out what to practice to get my timing correct aside from just doing it over and over with a setter but seeing this video on serving was super helpful for serving and I hope you can keep explaining more of volleyball!
Tha ks so much for the feedback! I'm so excited for you learning journey! You wouldn't believe it but I just released a video on spiking and timing!!! I hope it helps!
Thank you for this video, Im actually watching this on the bus and am looking forward to trying this once I get home! I’m a new player who has touched a volleyball once or twice and I talked about to wanting to join the volleyball sophomore year(next year) My friend was a little discouraging but this video is reinforcing my motivation
Gonna binge watch you sir.😂 My Physical Education this sem is volleyball and I don't even know how to play. 😂 My finals will be playing against another section/s
Can you make a vid on how to properly toss the ball up when performing a serve. I still have a hard time on how high/low to toss the ball and sometimes it goes forward or backward. Thank you so much. A vid on how to set would be great too!
its been a month, since i have been evaluating this video and i only realize JUST NOW, that i took points in this video way too literally, like the surfboard stance, i actually stood like that when i served, but i just get what you meant now on getting good foot placement not exactly like a surf board stance if you get what i mean. and the beyblade spin, i was spinning as far as i couild while hitting the ball which i just realized is why my serves go in random places
I'm feeling so discouraged.. I want to quit volleyball. I can't help but see the people around me be able to serve and I still cannot over a year and a half. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've tried so hard. I do all the steps . and I put in a little more effort. I know I shouldn't compare .. but I do.
I'm planning on making a vid soon. But until then I recommend setting and digging against a wall but add in doing this from different angles. Small changes like this can make a massive difference to your growth
I have problems to concentrate while playing volleyball cause i got adhd and if i didnt take my pills or its to late i cant focus on anything do you have advice for that ?
Hey! I got ADHD and struggle to stay focused in game sometimes aswell. I've learnt a few strategies to deal with it. My first one is dependent on the team. If I trust my team mates I actually ask for their support and I'm straight up with them about my ADHD. I ask them to check in with me and if I look a bit lost sometimes guide me to where I'm suppose to be. I know having ADHD and sharing that with people may be hard and somewhat embarrassing. So don't feel pressured to tell people if you feel uncomfortable doing so. I've just been lucking enough to have super considerate people on my team. Another thing I use to try was writing lil messages on my arm or hands. I find a visual reminder for things are super helpful for me. Maybe just reminding myself what my job is when I was on the front court and back court. This stuff has worked for me, but as you probably already know not all strategies work for every person who has ADHD. So explore different strats. Also follow "How to ADHD" to learn more about our neurodiversity! Happy volleyballing!!!
Interesting. Once we learn the technique we need reps of the technique for it to really settle.in. keep practicing. If you need more help hmu on my discord and you can send a vid of yourself through to the coaching channel
Imo the secret to setting is your reading skills. If you can read the opposition aswell as you can read your own players, youll always be setting dimes
Hey! Yeah! Volleyball is hard because to get better fast we need team trainings. Until you get a team do your best to expose yourself to as much volleyball as possible. Professional games, tiktoks, shorts, videos, social games, training in the park. All of this will be your foundation to learning. The more knowledge you have the more fortuitous your learning will be when you get a team. Good luck!
