Hey! I know there are quite a few haikyuu comments already but, I recently finished the seasons and decided to start playing volleyball when I was nearly done the second season. I bought a ball and started to practice outside. I started watching victoria's videos along with; elevate yourself and koko volly. I started vollying to my friends and practiced digging and serving. two months later, I can over-hand serve pretty strong, I can set it 50% of the time to where it needs to be for the spiker (right above their hairline) and can dig most of the ball. I'm not the best at receiving but I don't know how to improve on that other than for someone to throw a ball at me, and the most important part is that I really feel the pull of the game and I fell in love with vollyball. anyhow, this is all just to say that, a lot of people might come from haikyuu but it's not necessarily a bad thing. haikyuu sparked my love of volleyball and it really gave me something to look forward to when school starts.
i really hoped this changed someone's perspective of haikyuu fans coming and learning volleyball! have a nice day and stay safe!

here’s what i do: i go outside to the side of my house and i practice my serves on the brick wall. i also practice my sets, and bumps doing that.

Girl we play volleyball almost all the time in PE class and I can't hit nor pass NOR serve NOR set NOR spike for the life of me and I'm freaking embarassed every day so I really wanna get good at this. Thank you so much for the tips and I will definitely do them and see how it goes :D

I used to be a professional volleyball player for 20 years and the wall is the best teacher.
Every coach starts with the wall.
You can set, pass, spike and serve against the wall.

I do this-
I’ve done this so many times since I was little and I don’t even play-
I do that and im 4’8 but i could touch the top
You can also add a piece of tape (or make a mark with a pencil) so you'll have a fixed target to reach up for!
Sounds stupid, but after 40-50 jumps, you'll be trying harder to reach and it can help you focus!

Thank you for the tips, my favorite tip is severing. I want to try a sport this year and volleyball was already something in my life with my dad and I tired it and fell a like for it and I am trying to get better and practice ways
